Sleeping Dogs Walkthrough Trailer Chu's Revenge

Sleeping Dogs Walkthrough Trailer Chu's Revenge

[UPDATE - Just Cause 2 Bonus!]

Written by SgtDigglesworth on 25 July 12 at 22:26 , updated on 25 July 12 at 22:26

Update:

We've just been informed that players that pick up Sleeping Dogs who have a Just Cause 2 save file on their hard-drive will automatically get access to a Rico Rodriguez costume for the game's protagonist, Wei Shen.

Not only does the outfit make you look like a bad-ass, it also gives Shen a boost to his hijack ability and gives him the ability to "perform stunt-style takeovers of enemy vehicles from an even greater distance." The free bonus will be available from the game's launch date.

Original Story:
The ambitious Hong Kong style cinema sandbox from United Front Games, Sleeping Dogs, is shaping up to be one brutal adventure.

Square Enix recently released a walkthrough for one of the missions within the game that shows off an ample amount of bloodshed, an epic highway chase and one bad lady out for revenge, Mrs. Chu.

You will be able to roam the open world of Hong Kong, in Sleeping Dogs, when it is released on August 14th.

Like the HK action flick vibe but other than that it looks like a GTA clone. Might pick it up depending on the reviews it gets and the quality of the underlying story.

The fighting seems like the best part of the game.

There's something to be said about 'jack of all trades, master of none'. When you try and work four or five different genres (driving, beat em up, shooter, sandbox/open world, etc) into a single game, it takes a hell of a developer to do them all without making aspects feel tacked on.

The city looks a little lifeless, a reason why a game like GTAIV will always be above a game like Saint's Row in my book. If you pick a single pedestrian in GTAIV and follow them for a while, they'll stop at places, run errands, talk to you and eachother, go jogging, get into cars and car accidents and have run-in's with other pedestrians and the cops. If someone gets arrested (which can and does happen even without any gamer intervention), the cops will actually take them to the police station and walk them inside. Multiply this by the thousands of pedestrians walking around at any given time, all doing different things and living their little virtual lives... that's a living breathing virtual city.

I'm not getting that vibe from this game. The whole "green arrow turning wall to point you in the right direction" thing annoys me too. Hopefully the other aspects of the game aren't as shallow as the 'open world' is looking to be... the video seems relatively solid.
But if the silence takes you, then I hope it takes me too.

Looks like the True Crime IP we know and love. It may be a B-grade GTA wannabe, but it's a very fun series to get into if you're not too picky.

That Just Cause 2 skin looks great! And the mission itself looks damn good too. Loving to look of the interactive environment. Definitely going to be getting this.
Feel free to PM me about the GTA IV walkthrough, or any problems you're having with the game.
