There's nothing Miner about this war!

Keen Software House has been working on the development of http://www.trueachievements.com/Miner-Wars-2081-xbox-360.htm since 2009. It seems that, recently at least, they haven't been putting as much behind the marketing approach for the upcoming title, as things have been relatively quiet again.

However, the developer/publisher has now released a second bunch of screenshots for Miner Wars 2081. This time around several menacing-looking structures, including a Russian Mothership, The Rift and the Fourth Reich, are the main focus.

The first set of screenshots concentrated on the viewing perspective from within the cockpit of the mining spaceship that gamers will be tasked with piloting.

If you want to get even more of a feel for the action, then you best check out the (lengthy) gameplay footage taken from the first mission, Russian Assault.

We got our first real glimpse of Miner Wars 2081 at this year's E3 event. The game remains on schedule to reach the Xbox LIVE Arcade later this year, but there's no specific date or pricing details available yet.

Every time I see this I think of that Commodore 64 game called Miner and I want that instead.

Slightly off-topic but the Indie games section would be a great place to sell updates of old speccy, C64, Amiga games for 80MSP a pop or so.

Had a look at the Manic Miner update there and it is a solid conversion, however didn't buy it as I hated it back in the day too!!

Hopefully floodgates will open for Last Ninja, Buggy Boy, World Games, Dungeon Master, Underworld, Anitriad, IK+ and so many, many more...
