3. Walkthrough - Primary Family
First of all we're going to create a family consisting of five members; an Adult Male, an Adult Female, a Toddler (any gender), a Dog and a Cat. The two Adults must not be married!
Below is a list of traits for the family. It is receommended that you copy them to earn the most achievements in this play through.
- Adult 1 - Male - Traits: Bookworm, Artistic, Hopeless Romantic, Perfectionist, Charismatic - Lifetime Wish: Beast Master.
- Adult 2 - Female - Traits: Work-a-holic, Artistic, Hopeless Romantic, Brave, Charismatic - Lifetime Wish: Forensic Specialist-DNA Profiler.
- Toddler - Male or Female - Traits: Genius. Other traits can be whatever you want.
- Cat - Male - Traits: Genius.
- Dog - Female - Traits: Loyal, Genius.
Now that we have our family set up let's unlock some much needed achievements! First of all you are going to need a home. Any home within the price range will do. When you have your home, send your female Sim out to get a job in the Law Enforcement, using the Newspaper. When you have enough money purchase a Workbench and a PC. Now we're all set, I recommend getting one of your Sims (Adult 1) to start writing to bring the family some income and the second Sim (Adult 2) to start inventing. This will level up your Sims in those skills. Also, now would be a good time to start sending the dog out to dig and the cat out the hunt.
Had a dog and a cat become best friends.
The first achievement we're going for is Mass Hysteria. To obtain this one you simply must use friendly interactions between your two pets (Cat and Dog) until they become best friends.
Became a BFF with a dog.
Next we are going to work on the achievement Sim’s Best Friend. Simply use friendly interactions with your dog, using either adult until you and your dog are best friends. Soon, there should be an interaction between you and your dog to become BFFs (Best Friends Forever).
Now that we are on the way and we have the game going swiftly, we are going to do some sub-actions so we can gain some achievements later on. First off, start teaching your dog to learn tricks. In the mean-time, keep sending your dog and cat out hunting and digging respectively.
Successfully bathed your cat.
Now for one of the more "Tricky" achievements, Do Not Want! This requires you to Bathe your cat. This might sound simple, but if you have ever had a pet cat, you'd know that they don't really like to take a bath. To gain this achievement, first I recommend getting both of your adult Sims to be friends with the cat. Once both Sims are friends, simply attempt to bathe (click on the bath, choose a pet to bathec pick the cat). It's unlikely it will work first time, but have no fear! Keep on trying to bathe your cat and sooner or later it will work.
Became a romantic interest of your boss.
Now we're going for the Employee Benefits achievement. Since your female Sim has the job (Adult 2) she's the one who's going to over-step the line with the boss. Now we already have a job in the Law Enforcement. If you have enough Lifetime Wish points, purchase the Lifetime Reward Attractive. Once you have this, call your boss, invite him/her over and use romantic interactions to make them fall in love with you, also this is where your trait comes in handy "Hopeless Romantic".
Made out with the maid.
While she's at work playing away, the male can too, right? We will now go for Maid Out. First, hire a maid §125 per day and ask her/him to hang around with your Sim after her/his work is done. Then simply use romantic interactions until you see Make Out. Again, the Lifetime Reward Attractive will help. Also take advantage of the "Hopeless Romantic" trait, as this helps also.
With a pet, stole a Sim's clothes who is skinny dipping.
Now that we are well on the way to earning sub-achievements and we have a few already in the bag, let's go for a fun one; Yoink! First go in to Build/Buy mode - plumbing - miscellaneous, and find a hot tub. Buy one and place it somewhere in your home. Now control a Sim and go Skinny dipping. Once in the hot tub, control the dog. Click the clothes lying next to the tub and click "hide". Tip: When attempting this achievement make sure that if you have any children in your household are out of the house, at school etc or the interaction will not be available to use.
Fetched a date.
Now we're gonna get our dog to fetch us a date with the Wingman er Dog achievement. Your dog should be quite high in Digging Skill now if you have followed the tips above. To do this, select your Sim and interact with your dog. Select Dig - Fetch - Date - Male/Female/Surprise. Then your dog will fetch a date, this may not work first time, but overall it shouldn't take more then a few tries.
Fetched something worth at least §2,000 with a dog.
Now we're gonna attempt the achievement Where'd You Get That!? First of all purchase the Lifetime Reward Awesome at fetch, that's if you have enough Lifetime Reward points for completing wishes. Now you have this, select your dog, and select Fetch something Awesome. Your dog will then go off on a mission and bring you back something of value. Most times it's worth well over §2,000, so you will probably get this on your first try. If not, just keep trying until you do.
Found a special plant while fishing.
Now we're going to work on our Fishing Skill and hopefully bag ourselves another nice achievement, Sunken Treasure. To do this you must get your Fishing Skill above level 6. The achievement is for finding a special plant whilst fishing. I recommend using the "Stroke of Luck" karma power whilst fishing and also you could try buying bait from Duck-In Bait shop by the pier. It is however achievable without either of the above, so keep fishing until the achievement unlocks.
Reached level 10 of a career.
Now let's work on You Da Boss achievement. This is for reaching level 10 in any career. We are already in the Law Enforcement career, so now it should already be going pretty well, assuming you haven't skipped days or let your morale get too low. When work starts Press B, select Work Hard, and make sure your Sim is always happy before work. The "Super Satisfy" karma power comes in handy. Whilst at work you will earn promotions over time. Simply receive 9 promotions and the achievement is yours. The Work-a-holic trait for your Sim will make this easier, as they can work from home and do an all round better job and earn you promotions faster. Note that you will often need to complete various things in order to get a promotion. These include friends and improving various skills.
Made a Sim transmogrified from a cat and a Sim transmogrified from a dog become a couple.
Now we're going to work on the Is This... Okay? achievement. It requires you to make a Sim transmogrified from a cat and a Sim transmogrified from a dog, and then make them a couple. By this point in the game you should have the Transmogrify Karma Power. If not, I recommend getting it by completing in-game challenges. You will need at least 12 Karma rewards. First things first, SAVE YOUR GAME!!! You do not want to keep your transmogrified Sims after the achievement. Transform your cat and dog into Sims and then use friendly and romantic interactions to make them fall in love. After this, Propose Going Steady, to unlock the achievement. This isn't an in-game challenge, so load your game from the save i told you to make to revert your pets to their pre-transmogrified conditions.
Now for an easy achievement; Dogzilla vs. Cat-Kong. You must Destroy §10,000 worth of objects with either a dog or a cat. It's not as hard as it sounds. Go in to the City Hall. Outside there will be standing statue (you can't miss it). Get your cat or dog to scratch this and Achievement Unlocked.
Targeted your neighbor with the Ghostify Power, then captured them with a cat or Ghost Zapper.
Now we're going for the Bad Neighbor achievement. For this one you must target your neighbor with the Ghostify Power, and then catch them with a cat or Ghost Zapper. I recommend geting your Cat to level 7 Hunting Skill first. When at level 7, it learns the ability to catch/capture Ghosts, therefore making this achievement quite easy. Alternatively you can purchase the Scraptronic Workbench in Build/Buy - Entertainment - Hobbies & Skills (that's if you don't have one already) then reach level 7 in your Inventing Skill. After this, your Sim will be able to build the Ghost Zapper. Ghosts can be found all around at night time, or you can use the Karma power "Ghostify"
Caught every ghost spawned by the Ghost Invasion karma power before it ends.
Next we are attempting the What Ghosts? achievement. This is best done with your Cat, as the Sim with the Ghost Zapper might get scared by ghosts. Simply use the Ghost Invasion karma power and then use your cat to catch them all before the time runs out. This shouldn't be too difficult to do, especially if your cat has a high hunting level. If you can't find the ghosts, pause the game and look around the lot.
Used a telekinetic cat to make a Sim fix a meal from the fridge.
This achievement requires you to use a cat to make a Sim fix a meal from the fridge. First of all your cat needs to have a high hunting skill, because you need to capture ghosts. 25 to be exact. Please note also that these need to be Sim ghosts and not the colourful ghosts that you find around town. To make this easier you could purchase the karma power ghost invasion and have your cat capture those ghosts. Also if you use the power if one of the ghosts decide to possess a piece of furniture have your cat exorcise it and it will count towards 1 of your 25. Once you have collected 25 you will get a skill milestone unlocked which will allow you to command a Sim to fix you a meal from the fridge.
Built your house from the ground up by replacing your property with an empty lot.
Now we're gonna get the From the Ground Up achievement. SAVE your game, go to the town map, buy a new house, then replace it with an empty lot. The achievement will be unlocked. Afterwards simply load your Save game.
Built a house with 5 stories and an unfurnished value of at least §100,000.
Next we're going to unlock Mansion Builder. This requires you to build a 5 story mansion first and you will need at least §100,000 to achieve this. SAVE your game, and then open the town map. Scroll over your house and replace it with a empty lot. Now keep on building wall after wall in a square, and then another square inside of your previous square, and repeat the process many times. Build this construction upwards to 5 stories and to add a little extra value with various decorations. There's a chimney worth §5,000+. Buy it as many times as you can afford and place it all around your home. Exit Build/Buy mode for the Achievement to unlock then simply load your game to retain your house/money.
Completed 10 Skill Journal Milestones.
This one is simple. For Leet Skillz all you have to do is Complete 10 Journal Milestones with one Sim. You will get this by playing the game naturally if you work on certain things with your Sim. Press X in live-mode and switching to the skills tab. Select any skill, scroll down and you'll find several skill milestones. Just finish 10 to earn the achievement.
Completed a pet-related Lifetime Wish.
Now for another simple achievement. For Must Love Pets, It requires you to complete a Pet related Lifetime Wish. I recommend Pack Leader. Have 10 pet best friends over your lifetime. This is as easy as it sounds. Use friendly interactions between your Sim and pets around the town until the achievement unlocks.
Scared the reaper.
Now we're gonna take on Death in Don't Fear the Reaper. It sounds tough, but it really isn't. Once again SAVE your game. Go to build and buy mode, build a pool with no ladder and once your Sim is in the pool, build a wall around it. He/she will die. When they're dead, the Reaper will show up. Use another Sim to interact with him and then select Mean - Scare/Frighten and the achievement's yours, Note: This can be hard to obtain. as the reaper won't always interact with you. Keep trying by reloading your save and re-completing the above until you can scare the Reaper. Once the achievement unlocks, simply load your old game.
Activated the Cry Havoc karma power during a wedding party.
Now we're going to get Family Feud. For this you will need the Karma power Cry Havoc, which you should have by now. As I stated at the start of the walkthrough, the two adults in your household must not be married. Use romantic interactions between your two adult Sims until they are engaged, and then use your phone to arrange a wedding party. While the party is going on use the Karma power Cry Havoc and then achievement unlocked.
Stole something worth at least §2,000 with a cat.
Fulfil your cats wishes until you have saved up enough to purchase the cat burglar lifetime reward. Once purchased it will allow your cat to “Swipe Something.” The easiest way to get this is to go to the city hall at night with your cat and click on the ground in front of the big statue and choose “Swipe Something”. Your cat will steal the statue which is worth $10,000, which will net you the achievement.
NOTE: If another Sim is in the same area/room as you then you cannot swipe anything and also you can only swipe things 2-3 times a day.
Thwarted karmic backlash.
For this one you don’t have to do what the achievement says, just simply keep playing and unlocking challenges until you can purchase the “no backlash” reward on tier 10 once you purchase this the achievement will unlock.
Bred a Natural-Born Hunter cat or Natural-Born Digger dog.
For this achievement you will need a female pet. Keep fulfilling your pet’s wishes until you accumulate 10,000 lifetime points. If you followed the walkthrough, you should have a female dog. As such, purchase skilled digger. If you have a female cat purchase skilled hunter and then SAVE your game. Once you have purchased either reward try for puppies/kittens with another pet around the neighbourhood. You will know when your pet is pregnant when you hear the chimes after woohooing. It will take 3 in game days beore your pet gives birth but as soon as she does the achievement will pop up.
Earned more than §1,000 during a trick exhibition.
First things first, you need to teach your dogs all the tricks available once you have accomplished that make sure your Sim and your dog have a great mood. Now for this I threw a party. Before the guests arrived I made my Sim put my dog on a trick exhibition outside the house in the front garden, so when the guests arrived instead of them wondering off to dance or whatever, they came over to watch. They will keep giving you tips for the show. You need to earn $1,000 in one go. It is not cumulative. You can also use the super satisfy karma power on your Sim and your dog so they won’t stop. Keep track of what tips you are receiving and once you think you have hit $1,000m stop and the achievement will pop. You can also do this in town somewhere, in a place that has lots of other Sims.
For this simply apply for a job either using the computer, find one in the newspaper or just go to town map and click on the community lot where you wish to work. Once you have a job and you get promoted to level 4 or 5, you will have 4 career performances in the job tab. You can tell when you have them maxed out judging by the face next to each performance. Basically if you look at this achievements picture, that’s what each of your career performances should look like. Now your performances can be for a certain skill, increase your relationship with your boss and your co-workers and your Sim's mood! Make sure you meet these requirements and all 4 of your performances will be maxed out. You need to spend the entire time at work with all 4 maxed out until your Sim comes home for this achievement to unlock. You can use your karma powers to help you with these for example using the “Stroke Of Genius” will help you increase your skills faster and using “Super Satisfy” will help put your Sim in a good mood for the day.
NOTE: Not all careers allow four career performances. See the following for information of which careers/career levels are required:
Business - Mood, Boss, Co-Workers, Meetings Held (Career Track Level 6+).
Criminal (Evil) - Athletic, Mood, Boss, Logic (Career Track Level 8-9).
Culinary - Cooking, Mood, Boss, Co-workers (Career Track Level 4+).
Journalism - Writing, Mood, Stories, Charisma (Career Track Level 6, 8+).
Law Enforcement (Forensics) - Logic, Mood, Reports, Partner (Career Track Level 6-7), Logic, Mood, Reports, Painting (Career Track Level 8+).
Law Enforcement (Special Agent) - Athletic, Mood, Reports, Partner (Career Track Level 6+).
Military - Athletic, Mood, Handiness, Boss (Career Track Level 4+).
Music (Rock Music) - Guitar, Mood, Band Members, performances (Career Track Level 6-9).
Music (Symphonic Music) - Guitar, Mood, Orchestra Members, Logic (Career Track Level 8+).
Political - Charisma, Mood, Boss, Funding (Career Track Level 5-9).
Sports - Athletic, Mood, Teammates, Game Record (Career Track Level 5+).
Science - Gardening, Mood, Handiness, Fishing (Career Track Level 6+).
Teacher - Mood, Charisma, Logic, Give Lectures (Career Track Level 6+).
Sent a simbot back in time.
At this point start working on your gardening skill as it is needed for the next achievement. Level 8 Gardening or aboveis required. If you followed the guide and started on your inventing skill early on in the game as I mentioned, then it won't really be much of a problem. The only other time consuming one is that you need to deliver 10 life fruits to the Science lab, which we also need a high gardening skill to be able to plant the life fruit seed in your Sims garden.
The recommended gardening skill for this is at least 8, as this is when you will be able to plant seeds. Once that is over with all you have to do is wait for the plant(s) to grow (this can take a while). As soon as you have these requirements then you should wait for the opportunity to arise. You need to make sure that you have no other opportunities accepted otherwise the opportunity will not show up. Once you have accepted the opportunity it will require you to deliver a piece of Palladium to the science lab. This can either be the ore or it can be smelted, it really doesn't matter.
When you have delivered the palladium another opportunity will show up, this time it will ask you to deliver 10 life fruits to the science lab. Once you have accomplished this opportunity a THIRD one will arise, this time asking you to deliver a Pink-Heart-Shape-Cut Diamond. Now this is probably where your dog will come in handy, as you can send him out digging for gems until he finds one. Also a high hunting skill is required for this as the higher the skill the more valuable and rare gems your dog will find. If you are lucky enough and your dog has already found one earlier and it's in your inventory, you can now send it off in the mail to be put into a Heart-Shape. This process should only take 1-2 Sim days so once this time passes check your mail box and it should have arrived. Once you receive this you should deliver it to the science lab, and yes another opportunity will arise. This time the science lab wants you to deliver 100 pieces of scrap. Now this can be done three ways:
- You can purchase the scrap metal from the scraptomatic workbench.
- You can have some fun detonating stuff and collecting from whatever you have blew up.
- Just simply collect it from scrap piles round the back of buildings, etc.
I would recommend purchasing it from the workbench, as it is the quickest option. Now we have our 100 scrap metal we are going to deliver them to the science lab. This time your Sim will bring home the secret invention. Carry on inventing it on your workbench at home. Now you should have your Simbot make sure you choose adopt and add it to your household. Once you have completed this step simply control your Simbot, click on the time machine and click "travel back to the past." The achievement should pop up right away once your Simbot enters the time machine. You will still need this Sim bot to complete a challenge towards another achievement in the game called "dancing fiend" which will be mentioned further on in the guide.
Note: You need to make sure you have a free family slot as the Sim bot becomes part of the family so you can select it and command it to do what you want just like with your Sims.
Found your lost pet.
At this point we're going to want to lose our beloved Cat or dog, either will do. By now we should have the inventing skill well above 2. Buy a couch/sofa and place one of your animals on it (SAVE your game first). Once they're on it, use the Sim that's got the highest inventing skill to blow up the couch/sofa. This may work if the dog or cat is next to it, and will cause you to lose your pet, as it will now run away from home. Now we need to find it, simply search every location in the game until you recover it and then you will unlock the achievement. Once done, simply load your game and carry on as we were. This is not required, but you will have to make your pet like/love you again. However, by not loading your game you will also complete one of the challenges.
Completed each of the mystery chapters.
This achievement is related to the mystery journal and requires you to complete all the mystery tasks. To start these mystery missions you must first register at the City Hall as a mysteriologist. For these missions a dog and a cat is required and both need a high digging / hunting skill, as they are recommended/required for completing certain missions. Once you complete all 5 of these mystery missions this achievement will unlock. Descriptions of each are below.
Discovered the lost pirate ship anchor.
This achievement is the first mission in the mystery journal that you are required to complete "The Pirates Treasure". You are required to use a Sim and a dog for this mission. Level 2 logic is also required.
RELICS AND MORE -
First off you need to visit Season Terrace with your dog and keep digging with him until he finds the mysterious journal.
THE MYSTERIOUS JOURNAL -
Once your dog has dug up the "Mysterious Journal" you need to go home and use your computer to translate the journal. This is the reason you will need to be level 2 logic skill.
FISHIN'(AND DIGGIN') FOR CACHE -
Visit "Central Park" with your dog and have your dog dig around until he finds the secret hide out. Once he finds this use your Sim to fish until he/she finds the required items.
WHO IS SAMUEL GILMAN!
- First off you need to visit "Central Park" get to know other Sims and ask them about Samuel Gilman.
- After that you need to visit the Gilman Hill Graveyard and explore the grave stone on the right side next to the entrance
- Then visit the mausoleum at night and ask the guard about Samuel Gilman.
Avoided the zombie bears to find the pirate ship's log.
- After that, visit the Library for more information. You need to click on the bookshelves for this task.
- Visit Captain's Refuge and dig through the scrap on the right side next to the haunted house.
- And last but not least you have to return to "Central Park" and get to know other Sims again and ask them about these artifacts.
REMAINS OF THE QUEEN -
- You should check your map and look for a magnifying glass located on the map, this signifies the NPC we are looking for involved with this task. So you need to go to the location where the NPC is and become friends with them and ask him/her about the artifacts.
- Visit the Town Hall cellar after dark between 10 p.m and 7 a.m
AT LAST, THE PIRATE TREASURE -
- Visit the Coastal Cave and find the anchor in front of the cave.
- Explore the Coastal Cave
- You then need to go to the book store and purchase a book about the Coastal Cave and search for hints within the book. Click on the book in your inventory and the option will show up.
- Explore the cave with either your cat or dog.
CONCLUSION, AS IT WERE -
When all the above tasks are completed visit the Town Hall and report the pirate treasure. This mystery journal quest is now complete and you should unlock a pirate's outfit.
Explored the Abandoned Mine in search of Timmy.
This achievement is the second mission that is in the Mystery Journal and is called The Dog Days of Summer. This mission will require you to use your pet dog, which you probably guessed that judging by the name.
DOG ABOUT TOWN -
- First off, select your dog and use the interaction to sniff the ground to find the scent of a specific cat in town.
- Then visit the household that the cat belongs to and wait until you are invited inside.
- Locate the cat inside the house and be mean until you are able to fight with him/her. This will unlock the following achievement.
Dealt with the feline in the Dog Days of Summer mystery.
DOG AND PONY SHOW -
- Go around town and beg several Sims until they give you something good (old cheese).
- You need to perform 2 tricks to a Sim.
- Visit households that contain a dog or just find a dog in a park / around town to catch up on some doggie gossip.
SEARCH FOR THE LOST BOY -
- Visit the Barracuda Bay Swimming Center and swim round the pool in search of Timmy.
- Search for Timmy through some junk piles. There is a junk pile behind the Redbrick Community Theatre.
- You then need to dig for a spot to bury the rotten food. Just use the Dig Here interaction on the ground until you find the right spot.
- Search for Timmy at the town's school.
TIMMY FELL IN THE... WHERE? -
- Visit the Augustus Memorial Park and sniff the ground.
- You then need to explore the abandoned mine.
- Alert a Sim by barking at him/her.
DOG MEET DOG WORLD -
- You need to find "The Wise One." This is random, so just simply sniff other pets around town until this task is complete.
- Pee inside your Sims house to get attention.
EVERY DOG HAS ITS DAY -
- Select your Sim and click on your dog and choose go for a walk, select the location "Abandoned Mine".
- Use your Sim to use his/her mobile phone and contact the fire department.
- Go to the City Hall as your dog and collect your reward.
Punished the Sims for their crumb-filled, sub-standard furniture.
This is the third mission from the Mystery Journal: Just Nine Lives to Live. For this mission you are required to play as your pet cat.
TODAY'S AGENDA: WORLD DOMINATION -
- To start off select your cat and use him/her to hunt some bugs.
- Then you need to visit any household in town and use the interaction "Tackle" on any Sim.
- Return home and sit on something in your Sim's household like a bed, couch, etc.
- Visit another household and wait until you are invited inside and lie on the couch.
- Scratch any piece of furniture within your neighbour's household.
- Go round town in search of other cats and discuss napping.
- Go to the Lighthouse and search for Mr. Snugglywhiskers.
CAT AND MOUSE -
- You will be told to catch 3 specific insects.
- You will be told to catch 3 specific insects.
- Once you have completed the two tasks for catching insects, deliver them to Mr. Snugglywhiskers.
THE LEGENDARY PURR-FECT SOFA -
- You need to investigate the Goth Manor. This is an empty lot in town.
- While inside the Goth Manor, hide under the couch.
SCAREDY CAT -
Ghosts and Spirits can only be hunted at night with your cat, although occasionally you may find Sim ghosts wondering round town at different community lots in the day. After 10 p.m at night you will get a message in the top right telling you that a specific place is haunted. This location will be marked off on your map with a ghost symbol which indicates this place is haunted.
- The first thing you need to do is catch 2 spirits. Spirits are the different colour ghosts like red, green, etc that you find in haunted locations around town.
- After catching the 2 spirits you will need to capture 1 ghost. Ghosts are the ones that look like your average Sim/pet but obviously in ghost form.
- You need to rid the Goth Manor of the ghosts that occur during a haunting.
THE CAT'S MEOW -
- Take a nap on the couch in Goth Manor
This mission is now complete.
Created a flux combobulator.
This is the fourth mission from the mystery journal: Necessity is the mother of invention. You are required to play as a Sim and you need a few skills levelled up, these skills are:
LOGIC – Level 3 required
INVENTING – Level 4 required
PAINTING – Level 2 required
WRITING – Level 2 required
MYSTERY !: THE CASE OF THE CURIOUS PAINTING –
- Go to the Max Dalton Maritime Museum and admire the painting, the one to the right of the entrance next to a boat.
- You will be told to visit a specific household and become friends with a specific NPC and ask about the painting.
- You need to use a computer to find a copy of a specific book. Then you will need to use the computer to read the book.
- Now you will need the scraptonic workbench to invent something called a “Positronic Lens.” You also need to collect to gems with your dog, if you haven’t got 2 already.
- Visit the museum again and analyze the painting with the “Poistronic Lens”.
MYSTERY 2: A CASE OF TEMPORAL DISCOMBULATION –
- You need to research the blue print at a computer.
- Then you need to use the scraptonic workbench again and invent a “Flux Combobulator”.
- Catch a ghost with a cat or use the “Ghost Zapper” if you have invented one. Then use the ghost in the inventory to charge the Flux Combobulator.
- Again you need to use the scraptonic workbench again and invent a time machine. Once you have the time machine place it on your lot and use it to investigate the accident.
MYSTERY 3: NOW, THATS A PARADOX! –
- Visit the Max Dalton Maritime Museum again and study the painting once more.
- When your painting is at level 2 use the time machine and return to the past to paint a picture.
- Then you will need your writing skill to level 2 and then use the time machine to return to the past and write a book.
- Finally, use your PC to write an email to the curator.
Got the attention of the Socialite Club.
This mission is the fifth and final mission in the mystery journal: The Socialite Club. You play as a Sim in this one and it also requires you to have your charisma at level 2.
WHAT IS SOCIALITE CLUB? –
- Use friendly interactions with other Sims to become friends and then ask them about the socialite club.
- Visit the specific household and ask the NPC about the club. This is what level 2 charisma is required for.
CHARISMA TUNE-UP –
- Use friendly interactions and get to know the NPC and become friends and invite this Sim over.
- You need to use a mirror and practice your speech.
DANCE PARTY –
AUTUMN DELIVERY –
- You need to throw a party for this task and it needs to be a good one, so I recommend buying the “Legendary Host” lifetime reward and purchase a stereo and a buffet table. You could also go all the way and decorate the house with party balloons!
- Dance at your party either by yourself or with someone at the party.
- You will be asked to deliver 3 autumn salads to the “Ester’s Book & Scrolls” book store. These need to be at least normal quality and be delivered between 8 a.m – 8 p.m
- You need to purchase “Physics, Darts & You: The 180 Throwing Guide” from the bookstore. Once you have purchased it select it from your inventory and click “read for clues”.
DARTS, WHO KNEW? –
- You need to win a game of darts against another Sim. Darts can be played at the Central Park, The Llama & The Horned or at your own home if you purchase a dart board from build/buy.
- Discuss darts techniques with the specific NPC you will find out where they are on the town map, the magnifying glass on the location tells you that is where the specific NPC you are looking for is.
GOSSIP, SCANDAL & CONFRONTATION –
- You need to search your newspaper for juicy gossip.
- Then you need to search through 2 trash cans for scandalous gossip by clicking on your neighbour's trash can and choosing “rummage”.
- Then when you have the evidence confront the specific NPC.
Completed each of the dancing Challenges.
Move Your Body –
To earn this challenge simply buy a stereo from build and buy mode turn it on and have your sim dance alone as this does not work if you dance with someone else. Just dance for a few in game hours, the challenge will not unlock until you stop.
Do The Robot –
This one requires you to make a sim bot dance. To find out how to get a simbot refer to the achievement No Fate But What We Make. Control the sim bot and again dance for a few in game hours and when you stop the challenge wil unlock.
Dancing With Death –
This challenge requires you to dance with the grim reaper. To learn how to get the grim reaper to appear please refer to the Don’t Fear The Reaper achievement. Before you make him appear make sure you have a stereo near where the grim reaper is going to appear, when he appears he is really hard to interact with so just keep clicking on him until you get the interactions to appear and choose to dance with him and the challenge should unlock.
Dance Of The Dead –
This challenge requires you to dance after becoming a ghost. The quickest way to become a ghost is to build a small pool on your home lot without pool ladders as your sim can get into the pool without them. Have your sim enter the pool and direct them to the middle of the pool. Go back into build and buy mode and build a wall all the way round the pool so your sim cannot get out, return to live mode and wait for your sim to drowned. This way is faster then letting your sim starve in a room without doors. Once you become a ghost just simply dance along to the stereo.
Completed each of the parenting Challenges.
You may wish to create a separate SAVE for these challenges, as it will result in your family dynamics changing.
Purchase a crib from build&buy mode.
Bedtime Stories –
Buy a children’s book from the book store. Just select the children's tab when in the bookstore and buy any of these books.
Child Chef –
Make a muffin with the Rip co. Little Baker Oven. You can purchase the Baker Oven from build&buy mode in the children’s section. You need to control your child and click on the oven and choose bake muffin.
Early Reader –
Read a children’s book to a toddler. Once you have purchased a children’s book select it from your inventory and choose read with (name).
Don’t Forget The Cake! –
Throw a birthday party for a child. Click on your Sim and choose cell phone and select throw a party. When the party is over and everyone leaves the challenge will unlock
Happy Childhood –
See your child age up well from a child to a teen. Just buy a birthday cake and have your child blow out the candles to age up fast.
On A Roll –
Make the Honor Roll. For this you need either a child or a teen to have A+ Grades at school for three Sim days (weekends do not count) to get this just simply have your teen or child do their homework every night after school and make sure they attend school in a good mood.
They Grow Up Fast –
See your child age up well from a toddler to a child. For this make sure your adult Sim potty trains your toddler, teaches him/her to walk and talk. You can buy a potty from the children’s section in the build & buy mode. Once you have done that set the life span to brief again purchase a birthday cake from build & buy mode, control your adult Sim and click on the birthday cake and select “blow out candles” then choose your toddler. Note: You cannot control your toddler and blow out candles as toddlers and children only have limited interactions with household appliances.
Help a child or teen with their homework. When a child or teen return home from school you will find their homework in your inventory, make sure that a parent is at home, select your child/teen select the homework and choose “get help from” when the homework is complete the challenge will unlock.
Completed each of the exhibitionist Challenges.
This achievement has 6 sub challenges to complete. Before you start you need to make sure you are in a romantic relationship with another Sim and you need to use friendly and romantic interactions until you are able to “WooHoo.”
You need to WooHoo in the hot tub. Purchase a hot tub and have your Sims get in and then select WooHoo.
Wake The Dead –
Visit the Mausoleum with your partner once your both inside click on the building and choose the WooHoo interaction.
WooHoo Backstage –
WooHoo in the theatre. Same as above but this time in the theatre.
WooHoo In The House –
WooHoo inside the City Hall. Again same as above just in the City Hall
For this one you need a time machine on your home lot. Simply click on the time machine and choose WooHoo in the past.
Can’t Wait Till Tomorrow –
This requires you to WooHoo in the future. Again you will need the time machine. Click on the time machine and this time choose WooHoo in the future.
Completed each of the explorer Challenges.
You need to complete 5 sub-challenges for this.
Abandoned Mine –
Select a Sim and click on the abandoned mine on the town map and choose “Explore”.
Beach Cave –
Select a Sim and click on the beach cave on the town map and choose “Explore”.
Select a Sim and click on the lighthouse on the town map and choose “Explore”.
Select a Sim and click on the mausoleum on the town map and choose “Explore”.
Lost Knowledge –
You need to find a lost book in the depths of Sugar Maple Coast. Most of the time this book is found in the coastal cave or the lighthouse. Just keep exploring them both until you find the book. The book is random so it will be named differently, for example my book that I found was called “The Seplunking Sim.” Just keep reading all the books you find in these 2 locations and once your Sim has finished reading the book if it is the right one the challenge will unlock. Also the “Lucky Find” Karma power will help with this.

This achievement consists of 4 sub challenges that you need to complete. Make sure you have the scraptonic workbench.
Arc Light Generator –
Create a complex invention using palladium. If you don’t already have a piece of palladium in your inventory use your dog to keep digging until he/she finds one. You need to rebuild a complex invention, doing so will allow you to use different metals in your invention. Simply choose the palladium for your invention and the challenge will unlock.
It’s Alive! –
For this challenge please refer to the No Fate But What We Make Achievement.
Power Of The Heart –
Recharge an invention with an heart-cut-gem. If your dog has been around town digging a lot, you should have some gems in your inventory such as pink diamond, diamond, etc. Simply click on one in your inventory and choose get cut and select heart-cut-gem. Your Sim will put the gem in the mail to be sent off. It will take at least 1-2 in game days for the gem to return. Just keep clicking on your mail box until you get the option “Get Mail.”
Recharge a ghost zapper with a ghost. You need to invent things until you have the ghost zapper. Send your cat out after dark and capture some spirits at haunted locations, then simply choose add charges to the ghost zapper in your Sim's inventory and select the spirit and the challenge should unlock.

This achievement consists of 4 sub-challenges that you must complete.
Hook, Line And Sinker –
Use bait to catch a fish. To get this challenge you can either go to the bait shop by the pier and buy some bait or either use what you have in your inventory such has seeds, vegetables, etc. Click on a pond, select “Choose Bait” select a bait and start fishing. Once you have caught a fish the challenge should unlock.
One Stop Shop –
All you have to do for this one is visit the bait shop by the pier just north of the town map.
Secrets Of The Sea –
You need to read a book about fishing. Just visit the bookstore and purchase a book about fishing and read it. The challenge will unlock once you have finished reading the book.
Know Your Fish –
Learn how to catch every type of fish. Visit the bookstore and purchase EVERY book about fishing and then read them all. Note: Some of the books you will need a higher fishing skill to be able to read them.
