Ok, this will either be really simple or a pain in the backside. Let's get the basics out the way.
You must win twenty times on Xbox live.
The wins MUST be ranked wins.
There is a reason why this achievement can be difficult to get and that is because the game can glitch in a way that signs you out without you knowing. That includes if you press the Xbox guide button as it still shows you signed in!!! The result of this is that wins and losses are not recorded by either party if one of you enters this state.
There's only one way to find out if you've been signed out or not and that is to check the leaderboard after every win and make sure the counter is still tallying up your wins. If you find out that you've been signed out then you just have to restart your Xbox and carry on.
If your lucky and it doesn't glitch, then you don't have to go into the leaderboard as it will keep tally of your score.
Either way, as soon as you win your twentieth game, the achievement will pop.

The Easy Way

Set up a time to boost with somebody.
Host a game with settings 'Sudden Death' and '20 x speed (MAX)'
Just have one person go for the achievement while the other destroys themselves until the achievement is gained.

The Hard Way

Try and find a Death match as these can be quite quick.
If you find someone to face off against then the basic rules are as follows.
Get as many 'Quickens' as possible. This will increase the speed that enemies appear.
Get as many 'Beat bonuses' as possible as this increases your attack power against your opponent.
Get as high a combo as you can to push the bar against your opponents side to 100%
Do not get yourself destroyed as this reduces your bar by 12.5%
If you see your bar decreasing mid combo then your going to have to get out of your current combo so your score pushes the bar back up.
