I always thought he came after the 8th round was over, but in the 2nd video, he came after the 5th. XCVii007r1 has from the looks of things played Zombies mode a lot, and he thinks its random any time after the power is turned back on.

He comes any round after round 4 when the power is on. So if power is off on round 7 and you turn it on he will come on round 8. If power is off on round 6 and you turn it in he will be on round 7 etc. Etc.

Great video! We tried for like 3 hours doing the team way going for instakill! Failed. It sucked. Do it solo. But also let the zombies in so you get double points and maxx ammo. If you get a bomb use it at end/begining of a round for 400 points. I had all the points I needed going Down the first elevator.

2nd video worked great.

Took me like 4 or 5 tries but the second video worked perfect. A small note for people who may have the issue I was having, when you clear the junk from the first elevator at round 3, hover around in it picking off headshots but if you see or feel like you're about to get over-run. Get out of there and run down the hallway back into the first room circling the desks picking them off 1 by 1 and repair windows as you past them for some extra points, when 1 is left at the end of the 4th round, follow the rest of the video.

Lmao, so im doing the 2nd video solution and on wave 5 he comnes. I have a minigun with instakill. Yes, BOTH at the same time. Didnt need no super pistols.

Ah yes, that 2nd video is a life saver indeed! Read all the comments beforehand and didn't bother to check the first video, but this one is helpful! I didn't get my theif round to appear until Round 6 though, even though I did everything in order step by step in this video.

Like it was mentioned above, they don't always appear at round 5, but it's still possible. You'll know as soon as you hear that alarm and the breach noise in the elevator at the end when you're at the right round...

Why does he put himself in 'last stand' mode with the grenade at the end?

So he can get dual wield grenade launcher pistols...

Your right about the luck, I accidentally bought claymores of a wall and put one down, then the thief came and I china laked the claymore and both explosions killed him =P

The first time I did it he didnt come after round 4 either. I tried to continue but was overrun. I did it again, though and he appeared as in the video. Just keep trying and eventually he will appear when he supposed to.

Thanks for the video i did it in my first try, a tip to get points faster in the first round use only your pistol shot a zombie 4 times and then stab him this will give you 170 points per zombie, in the second level use the M14 shot the zombie in the chest one time and then stab him this will give you 140 points per zombie. i get the achievement and i had left like 1600 points.

Awesome m8 i tried it last nite but no luck just got overwhelmed,but chilled 2day after getting the Collector Achiev so i thought ill try this 1 well 4 more times and got to the start of the 6th round and the alarm went off killed myself and started blasting out the elevator door and bleep 20g Hands Off the Merchandise.

Yup, great help. I didn't get the theif till wave 8 though, make sure you know how to lead zombies around before getting frustrated by getting this achievement.

okay well I had it, recovered my tag and lost it. Killed him again today and no achievement, fucking bullshit.

thanks for this mate. 2nd solution worked like a charm. got it on solo at round 7. turned on the power at round 5 though, was able to get a new nuke on round 6 and he appeared at the teleport just like the video.

Just got the achievement. Did it on my first go as well. This has got to be the BEST guide on this site. Terrific video. Great job.

If you want the highest money by the end of the rounds, here are my suggestions:

First Round - 4 body shots with Pistol follwed up by a knife.

Second Round - 1 body shot with the M14 followed up by a knife.

Third Round - 2 body shots with the M14 followed up by a knife.

Forth Round - Since the numbers will start to increase using your knife isn't suggested, focus on getting headshots with your M14 instead.

excellent solution. He came up for me after the fifth round, so I survived an extra round. I did that by sitting in the second elevator, between level 2 and 3, and using the M14, then the stakeout. Whenever I got overrun, I just activated the elevator and took a breather.

Tip: use that elvetator to take a break and reload if you are overrun if you need to survive that extra round for the thief to show up.

How do you get the dual pistols when you are downed?

I'd have never thought to use quick revive while on single player, I used to get everything but that cuz I thought it needed two players to revive lol easy achievement to get thanks to the video, Cheers :)

Great strategy, I finally got it, took like 7 tries though, was down on my luck. Important advice: Try to get the power turned on before Round 5, or you run the risk of not getting the thief until nearly Round 10. Also, it does take at least a few hits with the dual rocket pistols while downed so make sure you aim carefully.

Great video guide! I got my achievement using this strategy in 15 minutes or so.

Took a couple of frustrating tries, but eventually it worked. I am so glad to finally have this achievement and for that grubbing bastard to finally be dead!

OK.. In the video at about 1:55 it says "survive on level 2 until the thief appears" but how do you know when the thief appears?

The one thing I found easier about this is to only buy the quick revive and M14, and not open the door to the hall with the elevator until you have one zombie left in round 4, then if you have not died you should have no problem turning on the power and getting in position to get this achievement in round 5.

I used this solution in Solo play to get the achievement. Worked great.

One thing I might add is I was having trouble surviving until the thief showed up. What is discovered is if you get down to the second floor when you have enough funds (around 6000) to open the elevator, gate on the stairs, and the 2 gates on the floor, you should be able to run laps on the floor and survive many rounds. I got to round 21 using this method. I couldn't pass round 7 previously.

You mad bro? I could probably do this achievement in my sleep by now, being a year later. LoL. I completed it many times after in groups with others. Hell this game sux so bad I sold it about 8 months ago.

Awesome solution. Just got it using this method. Works like a charm. If you turn power on and raise defcon level on round 4, the thief comes on round 5 everytime like clock work. I tried this like 4 more times after I got this achievement. Kept working the same.
