Firstly you need to kill 10 DIFFERENT animals with a handgun, it also has to be done in one go, i.e. you cant kill 5 and then turn off your xbox and then return to it because the count will be reset. You also need to make sure you do this before you get to 90% completion, otherwise the game glitches and crashes as soon as you claim your trophey on Open Season, so make sure you do this as soon as you unlock the final area in adventure mode.

Go to Open Season and select greenhorn difficulty. Here are the locations you can use the handgun:

Yukon Delta - Coyote, Red Fox, Bison

Cordova - Mountain Goat, Yukon Moose, Grizzly Bear

Kuskokwim - Dall's Sheep, Grey Wolf, Black Bear

Kenai Peninsula - Barren Ground Caribou, Grizzly Bear (if you didn't get it in Cordova)
DJ ZibbyMan Your solution is good for the most of this but you should edit the solution to say you can kill a grizzly bear in Kennai Pennisula. I had a hard time finding the grizzly in Cordova.

JiglifiedmQfQ thanks for putting that you have to do it before 90%, I like to do as much of a game as i can before I go seeking help. I finished the game and then did the open season and got really mad after I had done it for both the shotgun and handgun awards but got nothing, without your little blurb I dont think I would have figured that out, thanks.

YBEAR As crazy as it sounds, I don't think you can die during your open season...I swear I was playing on greenhorn (easiest) difficulty and I was mauled by a pack of rapid coyotes, who were chasing and killed the red fox I needed.
