If you have a USB Drive or Memory Card, you can backup your Third Strike Save to it. If you lose a match in ranked, you can go to Memory under System Settings and copy that save to your hard drive (overwriting the old save) in order to keep your streak going.

This way, you don't have to worry about messing people up who are going for legitimate wins.
Greedy136I used this method and wanted to post it here, but KingBroly figured it out earlier :) This is really the best solution for Casual-Beat'm'Up players like myself. I can confirm that this is working.

KingBrolyMatchmaking is random, so unlike S/SF4 you can't see who you're fighting until you get into a lobby. It gets really tedious getting into a lobby with someone only to back out when you don't get your friend.

JaggexedgeGreat guide, I was able to do this achievement in no time at all. Also to note, if someone ends up disconnecting mid-match, you will get the win toward your streak.

pedgzas of today, this technique still works.
special note in case this happens to you: my fourth online win left me with a frozen screen (the one with the grade) after the match. i never got to save the replay and return to the main menu and exit to the system settings properly 'coz of it. i took the chance of copying the save file to a second, separate memory card and hoped my next win was the last one. fortunately, it was and the cheev popped. only drawback was i didn't have a replay of my 4th win (which was my guide in making sure the save files were copied and pasted right). so i've come to the conclusion that even with a freeze, the game saves as early as when the screen says "you win" and it counts as a win.
