This achievement actually appears to be cumulative.
My first playthrough, on the final level, as I was fighting the final boss, I got the 500,000 achivement. I then beat the game and chose continue on the main menu. I went to mission select and chose the final stage again to get the other ending. Then, while fighting the enemies in the first room before dropping down to the big green laser thing, "Legend" popped up. Apparently it carried over all the points I got from the last time I was in the level. |
