Some tips, ideas and what to do including needed character customization

EDIT. Thanks to different people's comments and Pablo315 reply this can be unlocked in normal multiplayer but hasn't been for alot of people because of lag, after you stop them you must look above middle of screen to the the "Data Hack Prevented +200xp" message to confirm its counted.

EDIT. Seems all 5 need to be in one match but can go over multiple rounds for some people but others are over multiple games.

EDIT. Thanks to Pablo315, if you disconnect or host migration you will lose any progress you have made in that game

EDIT. Thanks to N0BLE 360 for those its not unlocking normally go to normal squad matches and do them all in one game. N0BLE 360 did them in conflict
qG Lecca Thanks for the guide. I must have done about 30 data hacks in quick matches. Achievement description doesn't say squad matches so thanks for clearing that up

N0BLE 360 Erm your not supposed to do data hacks Lecca for this achievement your supposed to prevent them (kill an enemy hacking your team mate )

xblOrder Yeah the one getting the achievement Lecca shoots the person data hacking, if you use a stun gun they can get two data hacks in before they die as well

xblOrder Nah others have unlocked it doing them in different games. I've never met anyone being glitchy about it either only one of the attachment chievo's

Trent The King yes unfortunately it does have to be in squad matches because i've done 12 in regular matches it doesn't count. My friend got it right on his 5th prevention in squad matches :)

N0BLE 360 Aslong as you see the message hack prevented and the points bonus after killing hacker you should get this I've killed a few hackers and I must have just missed the time window due to lag etc.

xblOrder This is something we'll have to find out if people are seeing the on-screen message and not getting it and/or are unlocking it in multi. Also they might have the data hack computer on which will only reduce the time window to stop them

Pablo315 As xblOrder said, can be done in multiple matches. It does not have to be done in squad matches, I've never played in a squad match and got it tonight. Like Noble 360, I lagged out on loads of kills and didn't see the confirmation points message so just keep trying. Positive from me .

Pablo315 You are welcome Caboose. There isn't really a way to do a guide for this. If you pause the 2nd video at 0.57 you will see the "Data hack prevented" message. It's easy to miss in a fast paced game and there is no way to check how many you have done successfully so far. That's all xblOrder can really do to help anyone to which I think. he did a great job.

Tornad0s may be you must prevent hack one of your squad mates (not just teammates) in regular MP matches...

Pablo315 @ Tornad0s, Squad mates or Team mates, squad matches or regular multiplayer matches, it doesn't matter. You have to kill the hacker pretty fast to get it. Only tip I could give is to play Decoy as the matches are longer. And don' t forget the amount of disconnects this game has where you lose the ones you just did : (

Power Thru i've done this over 20 times and i've seen the data hack prevented message pop up every time but the achievement still won't unlock, if anyone knows a surefire way to get this and wants to get some other achievements too, let me know and we can get them

Dizyne I am in the same boat as Power Thru, I sat back with my buddies and got this 20 times in 1 day but still have yet to see the achievement. Pretty sure it does not have to be in one match but still confused on why it is not unlocking. Such a simple achievement.

xblOrder I was speaking to my mate and he said it did have to be in one match he was in the same boat then he got five in one match (decoy but multiple rounds) and it unlocked

Pablo315 If it works in 1 match then that is the way to go, try xblOrder's squad method in the videos. I've never got 5 in one match, 'cheevo finally popped "in game" after doing just 1 in a game of decoy. Again, if the match disconnects you will lose the ones for that match. Same as a host migration, it will reset any you did for that match.

B unit 117 This is such a glitchy achievement. Already prevented at least 10 data hacks myself but still it hasn't popped. Thx for the tips at least. Hopefully I'll get this by the time I reach lv. 50.

N0BLE 360 Just to update mine unlocked in 1 squad match , while playing conflict.

So it does look like it is squad games only for those having troubles squad matches does seem to be your best bet at getting this
