I just want to add that while he said "each time the group resets it they will get between 1-5 points each depending on connection quality" is completely correct I just wanted to say that the WORSE the connection is the better the points will be.

So if you can get the host to lag the connect down (UPLOADING files is the best way to lag a connection down) you can get upwards to well over 2500+ points per match. An alternative method is for your connection to be laggy but BECAREFUL not to over do it or you will be disconnected.

The most we got when I was hosting the my boosting group run was 3,200 points in a single game. I had some people walk away with 15-20k in a single night of boosting...

Yes like Fafhrdd said having the host intentionally lagging the match makes a huge difference and saves a LOT of time. I was able to get the general achievement in one weekend by doing this. However, I think when the host intentionally lags his upload, he/she will still only receive 1 point each time. So when doing this, rotate who's the host and have the host be one of the flag tossers that round. To lag your upload, send a large file through aim, etc. Try one file, then maybe 2.. dont do too much cause the entire match can lag out.

That is correct, host only will get 1 point per flag so he/she should be the flag tosser.

Ideally you will want to have 8 players in total for even point distribution; 3 receiving and 1 tossing for each team. Make sure that the host, lagging of course, is the flag thrower. Uploading video or audio files as a hotmail attachment should do the trick. Also, I prefer to walk back and forth by the flag when trowing, it helps keep pattern and keeps the receivers from getting too close. I was able to get/give about 15 points per throw. I've helped so many boost before I even knew about this site and I must say the dedicated players seek out boosters as they've had many legit matches taken over by boosters overs the years they've played. They feel threatened someone will overcome them on the leaderboards without playing legit. Medic class is a must, it will help tell apart the boosters from the anti-boosters and you will be able to revive each other in case of death. (The medic's smoke grenade can sometimes contribute to lag too.) I hope this will help & good luck!

What a nightmare this achievement was. Took me about 3 weeks of non stop boosting 2 get it.

ok so we tried this today, all members of my team ended up with 700-800 points and I only got 250 as I was making points really slow (I wasn't the thrower) why is this? is it to do with my connection as I normally have really connection.

You were probably the host. Generally if you notice someone isn't getting good points they should probably switch to become the thrower.

It's been a long time since I did this but if I recall correctly the host of the game appears second on the list of players (except on his own screen). So when you're in the lobby ask everyone else to determine who the host is and that person should be throwing the flag.

Expected time to reach this achievement from the start?

I forgot how long the match is now it's been so long since I did this, is it 15 mins? If you get a full session together and have no hassles with non-boosting players then you'd need theoretically around 40 games (assuming you get 1000 points per match) and 40 x 15 mins = 10 hours. However you probably won't average 1000 points per match and you certainly won't get that when you are the thrower or the host so I'd say maybe more like 15-20 hours.

Add in the fact that you can get actual legit players to quit using the heal and kill method. If there's one legit person running around have one person from each team (both as medics) chase after the legit person then kill them. Then the medic who's on the same team as the booster will revive them and the other guy kill the legit player again. This can frustrate them and they can quit out within a few minutes so you can get back to the flag with enough time and points so you don't have to go through the headache to find people again.

HAHAHA So many good memories of this achievement... I will always miss giving people The Treatment.
