Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock is as the title describes it, meant for legends. But as the game progresses, even those with legendary skills are tested. Activition has put a great deal of time along with with Neversoft to create what can be considered by many, the greatest GH or all times.
From Welcome to the Jungle of Guns N Roses, to Raining Blood from Slayer, the game tests your shredding skills to the max. Unlike its predecessors, Gh3 has added power cords and more hammer ons to keep anyone of any age busy.
The game is fun but very repetitive. If you play the career once, you've played the biggest part. At first, you start with simple classic songs but as the progression of the game you will encounter various challenges which at times for some can be too difficult, specially the boss battles.
The achievements are dragging. While completing the career you can pick up an easy gamerscore, other achievements like earning 500 ranked matches can turn out tiddious, specially for those who don't boost. Achievements can be glitchy and very time consuming. It seems activation REALLY wanted you to walk out of this game a LEgend indeed.
To summarise it, it's a fun game with tons of hours of enjoyment. Today after years of it's release I find my self still playing it and enjoying the setlist. It's worth investing on a Les PAul before they go off the Market, trust me.
