EDITED 10/4/2010 (lol)

This is self-explanatory, but no less difficult. I have 5*ed all songs on hard AND expert, and here are a few pointers I found:

- If you can play hard very well, expert won't be a large issue. The only main difference I could see between hard and expert was directional scratching. On hard you can scratch anyway, but expert you have to in a certain way. This is challenging at first, but eventually you'll get a feel for it. *One trick I found is to watch for what direction the final scratch is (up or down) and scratch accordingly based on that. It's tough to explain however...*

- Crossfades and crossfade spikes are automatically triggered while euphoria (star power) is active. Use this to your advantage when a crazy stream of spikes/fades are coming up. It helps to know the song well. Interestingly enough, use it when you see another euphoria phrase coming up to keep your multiplier going.

- You WONT get this off sightreads, no question. I highly recommend you start the game on medium (for the majority of the other achievements) and work your way up. If you have 5*ed the game on hard, then although it will still be difficult, it will be a much simpler task. Mainly the last few songs (Noisia!) are the ones that will give you hell.

- Master the rewind. You get a rewind (spin the platter counter-clockwise) at approximately every 50 note streak (max 1 at a time), and you get a 2X multiplier when you use it. Use it AS SOON AS YOU GET IT, so you dont need to wait long to get another one. These play a key role, if not the ULTIMATE key role in getting a 5* rank.

- Beats and Pieces. Oh dear god. I thought Noisia/Groundhog/whatever was the hardest song in the game, but I was wrong. This is usually the one that's the last song people need. You have to do almost perfect for the first 40% or so, spamming the hell out of the rewinds. It's fairly easy with practice. The rest of it all I can suggest is try do your best. A strong arm will help (I did the 5* by scratching like a beast near the end) and key uses of Star Power too. Good luck with this one.

Practice is the key here! If you are good at other music games and have a solid sense of rhythm, you should pick this up fairly quick, but you've got ways to go before you can 5* everything on expert.
Molloy2006 I found playing the songs in the quicklist the best method for going through the songs, this allows you to sort by intensity of the song, so u can be sure your playing the easier songs first, as alot of the actually sets from the main game have some peaks in difficulty, like the scatch perverts setlist for example (nosia!!!)

AlkoKilla Don't forget about the Guitar Setlists. These will hold you back.

Callum x360a Just have to say; the song is NOT called Noisia, it's called Groundhog. Seriously, can't people just get it right? Do you call a song like "We Will Rock You", Queen? No, you wouldn't so stop calling Groundhog by the artist's name.

NathAttack I just achieved this yesterday, finally, and I must say, Beats and Pieces makes Groundhog cower in fear in terms of difficulty. There's no question there.

Zee pso @ callum x360a

Is it really there fault? It says in huge letters NOISIA with no other band. While all there other mixes are called scratch perverts. It's an easy mistake to make. Besides, people did it all the time in GH2 by saying Wolf Mother instead of Woman. Hipster kids do it to, but no one likes them :p .

Zee pso Sorry for Double comment, but you can't edit the, it seems.
@ NathAttack
Have any tips on 5 staring that? I tired that song and it killed my arm. So I took a break. I'm resting up before I go again.

Zee pso Just beat beats and pieces. I had to take sleep so my arm would rest up. Now onto Ace of Spades and rock it. After I take a break before my arm falls off.

Guirec730 I need a support group for Beats and Pieces. It's all I have left, and my arm hurts.

Any tips? I've pretty much creamed everything else, pretty high up on the leaderboards in places, but I can barely squeeze in 3 stars on it.

Linkus2323 I don't know why, but I found that the mix with "Time of the Season" in it was a BITCH to 5* xD. "Beats and Pieces" was another slight challenge, tho it only took 3 times to do it right. I'm just glad i'm finally finished the game. Now onto the second one after it's released! xD

Guirec730 Time of the Season was the 2nd to last song for me. Unidirectional scratching nightmare.

koobz2142 any tips for unidirec scratching?

EnderQuake224 Here is something you need to point out. the DJ & Guitar needs a separate guide. Since Rewinds are Disable and thats is reliable to complete.

SemeruWarrior for uni-direction scratching, keep a firm grip on the turntable with your thumb on the edge of it, and ever so slightly flick forwards or backwards with each tap of the button (its important to note you CAN take your finger of the button during a scratch, just don't miss the next directional scratch).

I found this technique helped massively with the scratch solo on Rockit.

ForcefulOliver I dont understand why everyone having so much trouble on noisia/groundhog, worst one for me was the song from scratch pervert in the hardest songs, had hard time doing it for myself and now im having a hard time doing it for my friend
