OK my first guide so here it goes
Firstly the light will come from slightly different locations each time you go through it.
After defeating some enemies and talking to Beatrice enter the entrance jump over a log and you will see the murderer run off.
Hit RB on the statue
For the first part go through the door is immediately clockwise of where the light is coming FROM rinse and repeat another 4 times.
light from 12 o clock go 3 o clock
light from 3 o clock go 6 o clock
light from 6 o clock go 9 o clock
light from 9 o clock go 12 o clock
If you got this right you will go over a bridge and talk to Beatrice again
Part two after defeating the dark minion style enemy
Hit RB on the statue at the top of the screen
For the first entrance immediately after activating the RB above, point the lion so that the ray is pointing through the door immediately anticlockwise of where the ray is coming FROM and then go through the same door following the beam of light
For the next four doors shine the light in a straight line so that the light shines through the lion from tail to head
If you got this right you will enter a room with a statue at the top of the screen and a wolf statue in the middle after a short fight sequence.
Firstly move the large statue at the top of the screen so that it blocks the entrance at the top i.e. pull statue to the LEFT
Once the light is shining FROM the LEFT TO the RIGHT like a \ slash across the screen.
**EDIT** A few comments suggesting that you need to be careful that the bat projectiles do not push you back through the door you go through following this part
Run through the LEFT door and then immediately on coming out of the RIGHT door go back through it. You should catch up with the murderer and have another fight sequence.
FINISH FIGHT SEQUENCE AND GO THROUGH THE NORTH ENTRANCE
HOPEFULLY DING YOUR NOT GETTING LOST ACHIEVEMENT SHOULD POP
