I highly advise Phantom Island for grinding flag caps and games played after doing the rest of the achievements as it has the least objects in your way and makes for the quickest flag captures. I was getting 1% on the tracker every game, which equates to 5 flags, so either it's glitchy or you get credit for 5 if you cap all three and/or shut out the opponent or something. I didn't test it out to see why it was happening, but hopefully it happens that way for you too.

I made a 100% achievement video below. If you follow it, you'll have everything but Centurion and Trophy Room in less than 30 minutes and can then grind these two out.

Martel18I think if you have a guest (ex. Martel18 + Martel18(1)) signed in on your team then it counts the flag captures and games played towards your main profiles achievement progress. I was getting 1% towards games played for all the solo modes and then was getting 2% towards it while grinding flag captures so that might explain why one games counts 1% towards flag captures.

JORAXI watched the tracker for a while, and this was definitely going up 1% for every 3 captures. I bet they simply put the wrong text in the description (500 instead of 300). I definitely got the 100 games achievement early though, my guess is that one is double counting the guests for personal stats as Martel mentions above.
