Credit to furkokiller & his mate for bringing this to my attention.

I was editing each event (Raw, NXT etc) so all matches were 1v1 finisher win matches to try & get through this fast. BUT none of those matches counted ... you have to play & win the matches generated by the game.

To make this process faster, from the main menu, edit the Match Rules to Finisher win & set momentum to Fast. I only edited 1v1, 1v1 Extreme Rules, Tag Team & Triple Threat. These were the most common match types. I simulated any other match type. Once the match starts, do a few moves & taunts, then hit the finisher for the win.

You could also set the difficulty to Hard to also work towards

JCDRANZERWhat about if you're only giving infinite finishers to one of the participants? That's what I was doing originally.

MaseJBeen awhile since I played but I think was doing that originally, and it didn't pop when expected so any editing of any sort voids that match.

JCDRANZERThanks Mase for replying quickly. I think I wasted about 3 hours before a friend told me about this solution. Thank you again for the heads up.

I wished I checked the solutions before I tried but since this was a WWE game, I didn't think I would need to consult one really since the cheevos for the past few iterations have been pretty much identical.

JCDRANZERWait could you have technically win the match and then just rematch it with the edited settings for finisher win. Because right now, I'm playing the matches without doing editing when I'm at the main menu of Universe mode but only editing the match pace, entrance off, replays off and finisher win on just before I start the match and then I choose the wrestler I want to be to win. I just won a match with Goldust in a Triple Threat and the match ended with giving me these options:- Exit, Rematch and Next Match. I always Exit as Next Match doesn't allow you to edit the match settings.

MaseJI couldn't say unfortunately as I don't have the game anymore. I didn't want to risk wasting another 50-60 odd matches when I had to restart.

JCDRANZERI did the Main Menu gameplay edits now, I use to edit the match rules for each match individually. Wow, I love to waste time.

JCDRANZERFinished it earlier today. Yup, I'm a wrestling fan but I guess I'm more of a fan of playing them these days, use to play it so much on N64, GC and PS2. It also felt that there were more wrestling games back in the day, nowadays you have to rely on 2K and formerly THQ for your wrestling fix, which has been stale for the past 5 years.

MaseJYea. Just edit every different type of match you intend to play from the main, start up Universe then play those type of matches & skip any others. And ensure difficulty is set to Hard.
