Before you attempt this, I would wait until you either complete Leon's campaign or play until you get the magnum with plenty of ammo. It is possible to defeat the Lepotista (thing that comes out of the front stand with hives) on your first normal/ amateur play through but having the magnum makes it so much easier and quicker.

During the cathedral scene after the puzzles,(2-2) the hive thing will come out. When it does its blue cloud attack anything around it becomes a zombie thus killing them. You need to keep it away from the other survivors as best as you can. Using the magnum and rifle makes quick work, making it stutter. On amateur it is about 8-10 magnum shots to kill it.

The achievement should unlock at the end when there are at least 2 women that had survived. BTW, Helena does not count as one of those women.
The SCHWARTZ 00my cousin and I took turns tossing Incendiary grenades at it....once it would kneel, we would unload on it with shotguns, then one of us would toss another incendiary grenade, rinse and repeat. Got it on Normal on our first playthrough. So if you have a ton of incendiary grenades, try that.

Pud MasterI just want to point out that it’s actually in 2-3, not 2-2 like it says above. 2-2 is in the cemetery, whereas 2-3 is in the cathedral, where the civilians are, and therefore the 2 women that you need to protect. This should prevent people from having to play more than necessary to get to the point where they can unlock the achievement. Thanks for the guide, Cr4ck Sh0t23.

DakotaThriceWent with The SCHWARTZ 00's method of incendiaries and shotguns and got it first time even without a co-op partner. Throw a grenade, unload two or three shots and then toss another grenade - was done after three grenades on Amateur.
