Offline (Vs. Player 2)
So first of all you'll need to set up an extra account. This will be a dummy account, it doesn't need to be a Gold account so a basic account will work just fine. Each time you start up a game using this method the game will have swapped it back to you against 3 CPU opponents which is a little annoying but each time just turn them off (by pressing X until the disappear) and then join in your dummy player by pressing A on your second controller.
First of all though you need to select an arena, for the first achievement we'll be selecting "Giant" and setting the mode to: "Bankroll". In this mode have the dummy account do absolutely nothing while you go around blowing up blocks to earn money. Set the timer high so that you have enough time to do this in a single match, however if you clear the arena before hitting enough money for this achievement then kill the dummy account and progress to the next match of the game.
Repeat this process until the achievement unlocks.
Collect at least $500 in Bankroll mode over your career.
Next up we'll nab an original game achievement and a DLC achievement at the same time. Go back to the main menu and select the option "Customize Bomberman", in this screen, scroll down and select the Bombzilla pieces in each of the 3 rows, this should be: "Bombzilla's Pointy Spikes", "Bombzilla's Terrifying Face" and "Bombzilla's Giant Tail".
Now go back to the main menu and set up another local game. Select the arena "Giant" and the mode "VIP". Set the matches per game to 3 so that you only have to go through this set up once for the achievement. When the game starts up just have the dummy account kill itself off by moving a square in any possible direction, placing a bomb and letting the explosion kill it. Repeat this process and after the second match this achievement will unlock:
Win 2 matches in a row on Giant dressed in the complete Bombzilla costume. Requires Bomb-Up Pack I.
Complete the third match and this achievement will unlock:
Be the VIP in at least three VIP games over your career.
Now go back and set up another game but this time on "Classic" and mode "Capture The Crown". Set the timer to 9 minutes, it won't all be needed but it means you don't need to do extra matches for this 1 achievement. Once the game starts just have your player (the main account) work it's way over to the crown and pick it up. Every 5-6 seconds you'll get a point for wearing the crown, uninterrupted, you can just stay still and let it rack up while you do something else for a few minutes. Once you've hit 50 points give it a moment and the achievement will unlock and you can quit out of this game.
Score at least 50 points in Capture the Crown mode over your career.
Set up another game, this time on "Classic" and the mode set to "Zombie", set the time limit to 9 minutes (you won't need it all but we're just playing it safe) and turn on the power-ups "Bomb-Up" and "Remote Bomb".
Once the game loads up, have your main account blow up blocks around the arena, so that top of the arena is clear then have both him and the dummy account pick up a "Remote Bomb" power-up and enough "Bomb-Ups" until they can both place 6 bombs (which is the maximum). Once they have that have have both players place bombs in a row so that in total there are 12 bombs in a line (the order of them isn't important). Then clear out of the way and on your accounts controller press B to activate the first bomb you placed and this will trigger a chain reaction in which all the bombs will explode. Once you've done that you'll unlock the achievement and you can quit out to the main menu.
Chain-react at least 12 bombs.
Next up is another DLC achievement.
Set up another game this time on "Classic" and with the mode set to "Battle", have your extra controller join in as well as an AI opponent (or another controller if you have one). As you go through the game settings set the option "Revenge" to "Super", doing this means that when you die you'll spawn in a cart at the side of the screen and if you manage to kill someone from the cart you'll switch places with them.
Once the game starts have your accounts work toward each other, once they're next to each other have your second controller kill off your account and then once you spawn in a cart kill him. It'll be easiest if you have your second controller head into a dead end and you pin him in with a bomb. When you throw a bomb from the cart it travels a couple of squares and so you won't be able to kill him while he's right on the side of the board, this is why it's easiest if you have him head back down to where he spawned and kill him there.
Upon killing him you'll trade places with him and you'll unlock the following achievement and be able to quit out of this game.
Bomb someone who bombed you in one round on Resurrection or from a cart. Requires Bomb-Up Pack III.
Next up is the final DLC achievement.
Set up a game on the arena "Future" with the mode set to "Battle". We'll be playing with your account and the extra controller so drop out all AI players, set the round timer to about 5 minutes to be safe and the matches per game up to 9 (You won't need all of this time but it's better to be safe and set it high now).
On this arena there are 6 new square types, 3 pairs of shapes. Each set will teleport you from one square to it's pair, so if you step on one of the purple squares it will teleport you to the other purple square (and so on). Have your other controller head make it's way to one of the squares and once he's there stand next to it (not on it). Now have your main account head to the matching shape and stand on the square, this will teleport you back and forth until you get off. Plant a bomb while you're teleporting and as soon as you do, head away from it. It'll either explode next to your dummy account, kill him and unlock the achievement or explode on the other teleporter, if it does just try again.
Dropping a bomb while you're on the opposite teleporter to the one your dummy account is stood next to should work fine.
Take out an opponent using a teleported bomb. Requires Bomb-Up Pack II.
As soon as the achievement unlocks, you can quit out and we'll work on the next achievements.
We'll be working on and unlocking the next 2 achievements at the same time. You'll need to set up a game against your second controller and work your way through each arena, the game mode doesn't matter and to make things go quicker set the matches per game down to 1. As soon as each game starts up just have the other controller kill itself and then move on to the next arena (You do not need to play on or win a game on any of the DLC arenas for these achievements).
The arenas you need to play and win on are: Classic, Adventure Island, Dark Castle, Factory, Giant, Laser Arena, MultiMaze, Pirate Ship, Power Station, Reflectors, Steamworks, Thunderstorm, Time Tunnel, Volcano and Waterways.
Play at least one complete game on all the arenas.
Win at least one game on all the arenas.
All that's left now is the final game type achievement which we'll be using to grind out the other achievement too.
Set up a local game with the arena set to "Classic" and the mode to "Capture The Flag", set the round timer to 2 minutes and the matches per game to 9. In this game mode both players start on opposite sides of the arena with a small pathway between them. To win in this mode you need to go over to the other side of the screen, pick up the enemy flag and then bring it back to your flag placement, you cannot suicide the other controller in this game mode as there are infinite spawns.
Now before you just run over and grab the other flag let the timer run down to about 1 minute, at this point a little golden crystal will spawn which is actually a clothing pick up. You need to pick up somewhere in the region of 50 of these for an achievement and while this may seem slow and boring it's the easiest and quickest way to grab these.
I found it best to head over and pick up the enemy flag then wait for the clothing pick up, grab that and then finish the match by returning to your base with the flag.
After you've won 5 matches doing this you'll unlock this achievement;
Capture five flags over your career.
Then just continue doing repeating the process until you've finally picked up enough to unlock the final achievement in this section of the walkthrough. Once you've finished your 9th game progress to the "Winner" screen and press B to instantly rematch under the same game settings.
You're free to go do the other achievements and then come back to grind this, it may even seem strange to grind this out now when you'll be playing other games in which you can grab a few clothing pick ups. The problem is, when playing against the CPU they might pick it up and when boosting online no games will last long enough for one of these picks ups to appear so you're better off working on them this way.
Offline (VS. CPU)
There are only 2 achievements that specifically require you to play against the CPU and will both be earned using the same method. Set up a local game of "Capture The Crown" and put in the maximum amount of CPU players (set to easy) as possible. The round settings are very much up to you, you can opt to play many short games or fewers long games.
You do need to turn on a few certain powerups though while turning all the others off. Turn on the following power-ups; "Full Fire" and "Dangerous Bomb".
In this game mode all the CPU will fight over the crown and seen as how we won't be actually going for it ourselves, they'll leave us alone (a stray bomb might take you out occassionally). Now as soon as the game starts keep blowing up blocks until you're able to pick up one of each the power-ups we turned on, for the sake of it try and pick up as many of them as you can so that the AI don't end up with them. Once you have each of the power-ups run over to wherever the AI are fighting over the crown and place one of your bombs (then obviously back up pretty far to avoid being taken out by your own bomb). Some of them might avoid the explosion but you'll be able to take out enough of them each time to make this the best way to rack up kills. Just keep repeating this process until you have both of the below achievements;
Take out three computer players at once.
Take out 99 computer players over your career.
To give an idea of how well this method works, you shouldn't have trouble racking up about 30 kills in a 2 minute game.
Online
There are only 2 online achievements and both of them are very easy to boost. Now one of the achievements requires an extra player as it involves ranked matches. The other online achievements states you need 4 players but if you and the person you boosted the ranked wins with have an extra controller you can simply sign in guest accounts to make up the numbers, alternatively if you don't have an extra controller but he has 2 extra controllers, he can sign in 2 guests (etc).
First of all head to Xbox Live from the main menu and have 1 of you set up a match, once you've set it up have the other player search for it and join. This part of the boost only requires a controller each. For the most part the game settings aren't too important however, to save some time set the matches to 9 (the highest) so that you only have to match up 3 times. Once you've matched up and you're ready to go, have the first person kill themselves every match by moving across a single square, placing a bomb and letting it kill them (this will mean each game takes seconds). Then set another game up the same and have the player who was killing themselves during the last game do it again for 2 more rounds, at which point you're achievement will unlock. Now you can return the favour by killing yourself for 9 matches, setting up another game and killing yourself for another 2 matches.
Win 11 consecutive Ranked Matches.
For the next achievement you need to head to player matches, both of you sign in a guest account when you're prompted to select local players. Decide who will be setting up the game and have that person do so with the following settings;
Arena: Classic
Mode: Team Battle
The other settings (power-ups etc) aren't important but make sure to set the game to 9 matches per game. Once you've set up the lobby you can invite you're boosting partner into the game. At this point make sure both of you are on the same and that both of your guests are on the same team, then start up the game.
When the game starts have both of your guest accounts kill themselves the same way we did earlier (by moving a square in any direction, placing a bomb and letting it kill you). This way both you and your boosting partner will recieve wins toward this achievement at the same time, you'll need to play through 2 full games and play through most of a third for this achievement. Just keep repeating the process until you've won a total of 25 games this way for the achievement to unlock.
Win 25 online games with at least 4 players over your career.
And that should be you all done with the game, congratulations!
