Welcome to my Way of the Samurai 3 walkthrough!

This game is one of the few out there that's sometimes ridiculously hard, challenging and rewarding at the same time. You have the ability to play the life of a samurai with all the tough decisions that go hand in hand with it. Killing innocents or protecting them, killing bandits or joining them, pillage or protect - the choice is yours! Each decision you make has an impact, each challenge you accept can have an impact on the whole picture. Since the weapons you use get better/worse over time and each kill improves your exp earned with it, I do not think that there are many games out there that can provide that.

I will separate this walkthrough into a story section and an ending section since there are a lot of different endings in this game that need ALL to be obtained. I also will try to provide a detailed and good list of the rare weapons in this game which you will need to get certain achievements.

So with that said, get your katana and show the world your value as a noble samurai!

I can give a few tips, but basically they will come over time.

This game doesn't have a tutorial, so i recommend reading the game manual carefully! Knowing how to pull a sword before you even have to and therefore knowing how to block can save your life (and time) significantly.

Know your weapons and the stances! Although you will use a lot of different weapons during your playthrough, I recommend sticking to the ones you are most comfortable with. Since your weapons get stronger after certain levels reached and kills achieved, you surely get rewarded by using the same weapon over and over again. Also keep good weapons in your safe, one of each kind since you will need a total of 50 different ones for an achievement and also will have to unlock each skill for every weapon stance. A small tip for grinding experience for your weapons, go to Minori castle and look out for the guy with the tuna mini-game. Hack away at the tuna and watch your weapon skill increase with each hit! (surely only usable at low levels)

Block and parry whenever you can! Blocking isn't that hard, but parrying surely is. It took me a lot of practice to master it and even more to switch to instant kill mode while doing it (quicktime button sequences are really tough here!). Try it whenever you can and watch tough enemies die in an instant!

NEVER prostrate yourself by apologizing!! There might be 2-3 opportunities in the game where it might be OK (especially if you assault someone and can't kill him), but it mostly goes with a lot of negative things. You are not just losing face (getting called coward and stuff), you are also losing the fame of the people AND lose a lot of your samurai rating! So, I recommend strongly to die before you attempt that as it doesn't have an impact as large as apologizing.

Farm money and stow it away in your safe! Keeping money on you has a lot of problems, especially because it might get stolen. So, stow large amounts of money in your safe.

You can leave Amana whenever you want! Go to the world map and on the bottom of the map is the option to leave. This is crucial if you buy something really expensive, kill the trader to get your money back and don't want to lose the trader. This is especially important if you farm for weapons, since you will have to kill certain characters which you really don't want to see dead.

When farming for weapons, just to be on the safe side, choose the difficulty i write down rather than a higher one. The chances for getting that specific weapon are much higher on the right difficulty than on a higher (not to mention that you won´t get them on a lower)

Choose a new game and customize your character however you like. The options are quite limited in the beginning but you can change everything (except for the gender since all samurais are male!) with each new start of the game. Don't forget to take a weapon with you, but I can tell that the unarmed stance is also sufficient in the beginning.

We will start right away with our first set of achievements. Upon starting the new game you will watch a few cutscenes (BACK button can skip them) and upon encountering the scavengers on the battlefield you can react in a few ways. In this case, pull your sword (LB) and scare them away. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO KILL THEM! Harming innocents will always result in penalties on your rating and for now, you don't want that! Now head to Takatana village (walk forward and left) and enter it. Go to the left and you should see 2 guys bullying a girl. Take out your weapon and kill the first. Your very first achievement will unlock here for killing your first enemy (you may feel proud)

Now switch to a blunt attack style (called "nasake", use the back button while your weapon is out) and knock the 2nd guy out. This will grant you another achievement.

Now the girl is some sort of a tutorial help for you, if you need to know, but right now, its not interesting. Take what the dead guy had (a sword and maybe some other stuff, pillage with the A button) and get up the stairs to the right to a farm. Pick up some of the radishes (press A above them) and maybe the weapon-radish (you can use it as a weapon!). Now eat 1 of them, press start and leave Amana. You now should get a rating for vegetarian samurai and around 200 samurai points. What we will do now is repeat that process until we reach 10,000 samurai points, wherever possible, increasing the difficulty level for more points! Upon reaching the 10,000 you will get the following samurai point achievements.

While doing that, you will also unlock the following achievements naturally without doing anything for them.

Now we can start to play the game as we like, but first, we will go for a little weapon collection tour. Equip any weapon you want to level up (I used the radish since it earned me quite quickly a new skill) and choose instant kill difficulty (everyone dies within 1 hit). Now get to Takatana as always, kill the 2 guys (optional you can pick up their weapons and sell them) and every guy you see carrying a weapon. Pick that weapon up and return it to your safe in your house (on the right side of the river at the very end). While doing that, your weapon will have certainly gotten a new skill and therefore will give you an achievement for that.

First Time5 (5)

Don't forget to kill the blacksmith, since he has a unique weapon as well (from the river go straight forward, up the winding path and into the small cave). After that rampage we head for the "guarded gate" on your world map. Kill 2 guys, get their weapons and return them to your safe (you only can carry 3 weapons at a time). Rinse and repeat until there are no more guys with weapons in the starting area. Now head to the right and you will see a large building near a small lake. This is the dojo, enter it and kill 1 guy on each floor (drops boken, so take it!). Upon reaching the top, don't hesitate for too long and kill the sensei. Upon doing this you get a new sword and an achievement.

Now we leave Amana, start a new game on easy and upon entering the city, we leave Amana immediately again. You should get the title "nobody" for a rating of 1%. Do the same for normal, hard and instant kill and the achievement for 5 titles obtained will unlock.

We enter Takatana city again (on easy is recommended, but it's now up to you what you choose) but this time we look for an old lady near the river on the way to your house named Misae (her name is highlighted in purple. every important person has a colour highlighted name, for future encounters). This is a job broker and in nearly each of the major areas there is one to be found. Here a small list for each broker in each part:

• Takatana Village - Misae
• Omiki Town - Oryo
• Amana Castle - Commander Kiyonari
• Castle Minor - Joji

Now complete 50 jobs of whoever you like the most to earn some money. Each time your gains increase which represents the trust of the faction. Try to amass as much money as you can, you will need it later on. After the 50th you will have the following achievements.

Go to the smith and buy with your hard earned cash some weapon parts. Now build a new weapon and upon doing that, another achievement will unlock for forging a new weapon.

You should've spent around now about 10 hours in total on this game. Therefore you will unlock the following achievement. If not, don't worry, you cant miss this one!

Amana Native17 (10)

Played more than 10 hours.

We will now concentrate on the jobs Oryo in Omiki town has to offer. One of them includes that you have to break a weapon of a bragard. Let him attack you and block all the time or make sure to hit him only when he blocks. You can aid the process by having a weapon with a sword breaker ability, but that's optional. After some time his weapon will break and will net you a nice achievement.

Weapon Destroyer7 (5)

Broke an opponent's weapon.

Now kill him if he doesn't drop the broken weapon on his own, leave Amana, equip the broken weapon and enter Amana again on instant kill difficulty. Get to the part where those 2 guys bully the girl again and kill one of them with one straight hit. An achievement will unlock there for you.

Zero Kill10 (5)

Killed an enemy using a weapon with zero durability.

Switch to Nasake and do the same with the other guy to get another achievement (careful, you might get killed so be fast).

Zero Blunt Attack10 (5)

Defeated an enemy with Blunt Attack using a weapon with zero durability.

Exit Amana again and start a game on easy. Now we go for a relationship with a character. Some of them have large benefits, like they can carry your weapons for you, mend your wounds or provide an additional sword safe. Nonetheless, since there is only an achievement for 1 of them, I will point out the easiest to obtain and leave the rest to your likings. Achievement unlocked with one of the following:

• Momiji : found at Amana castle on day 3 between 10:00 and 16:00 and as soon as you speak to her, she will attack you. Apologize to her and she will put away her weapon. Speak to her and answer "you have reason to kill me" and then "join me"
• Yukino : At Omiki village, after a few inklings you can hire her for 100 yen between 18:00 - 00:00.
• Yuzu : Takatana North in a small house if you have 300 or less HP. Upon talking to her say "oh,mother?" and upon talking to her again, she will join you.

Relationship16 (10)

Restart again on easy. Now we go for the Titles. There is a total of 49 titles to be obtained and I will list the easiest I found during my journey. You only need 20 for the achievement, so here we go:

• Nobody : Rating above 1% on easy
• Wanderer : Rating above 10% on normal
• Newbie : Rating above 20% on hard
• Novice : Rating above 30% on instant kill
• Vegetarian samurai : Only use vegetables to restore health
• Gay samurai : Bump into 50 men
• Osei Lover : Bump into Osei 50 times (next to Munechika on the farm)
• Horny Samurai : Bump into 50 women
• Itsuse Lover : Bump into Itsuse 50 times (hit the guard at the back of Minori castle and you will go to a room with her)
• Chatty Samurai : Start 250 conversations (search for Yue in Takatana village. Tell her "you're beautiful" and she now will have 1 conversation option. Repeatedly press A until you can see the title on your profile)
• Angry Samurai : Smash 200 objects (destroy everything in Takatana, leave the area and enter again to grind this one out, nets around 40-50 items each time)
• Dojo Conqueror : Defeat everyone at the Dojo (set the game to instant kill, go to the dojo at the guarded gate and kill all 3 people in the dojo. this earns you also an achievement!)
• Sorry Samurai : Apologize 100 times (doesn't have to be in front of people, your head has to go down to make it count)
• Disturbed Samurai : Kick dead bodies 150 times (look for dead bodies or kill someone and now start kicking away at him)
• Compassionate Samurai : Defeat 30 people with blunt attacks (go on a rampage, easy as that)

These are the easiest 15 I found, for the last 5 choose any of the following one. Keep in mind that higher titles overwrite lower ones, so best is to leave the game as soon as see the title.

• Faithful Samurai : Clear the game with 1 partner (either ending will suffice as long as the partner doesn't die)
• Rich Samurai : Total yen exceeds 10.000
• Princess lover : Bump into Araragi 50 times
• Collector : 100 items total picked up
• Troublemaker : 100 people kicked
• Workaholic : Finish 20 jobs
• Sword Maniac : 15 weapons appraised
• Litterbug : 50 items discarded
• Sword artist : 20 weapons created
• Shy Samurai : finish the game with less than 5 conversations
• Insomniac : Clear the game without sleeping
• Riceaholic : Eat 50 pieces of rice
• Naughty samurai : Shamefully slash 100 people
• Slayer : Kill 300 people
• Merchant : Spend 10,000 Yen (blacksmith doesn't count!)
• Annihilator : Kill 1000 people
• Executioner : 100 Instant kills
• Blessed samurai : Clear the game with less than 1000 points damage received
• Samurai pimp : Have 10 partners
• Holy samurai : Clear the game with less than 100 points damage received
• Harmless samurai : Clear the game without killing anyone (blunt attacks only if needed)
• Martial Artist : Clear the game with only bare hands style
• Impatient Samurai : Clear the game under 1 hour (this is the highest rating you can have, will overwrite EVERY single one, so make sure you spend more than 1 hour in the game!)
• Samurai 4 Ever : 120% samurai rating (also an achievement for that)
• Title king : Attain all 49 titles

Title Master125 (40)

We will now concentrate on the following things : earning money (around 30k+), collecting weapons and leveling 1-3 favourite weapons in the process (by leveling, I mean using them). In this game, the higher the level of a weapon and the more kills you can earn, the better it gets (unless it's not breaking). Also the smith can enhance every weapon for a rather high price, so keep that one in mind as well.

Earning money is done, in my opinion the easiest way, by doing jobs at EVERY job broker available until they give you maximum trust and you earn 600+ yen per job. Finish one at a time and alternate between them and you should have a lot of money in quite some time. Alternatively you can kill the head of Ouka clan and claim every day 500 yen for doing nothing. For that you simply have to sleep and visit the job broker every single day. Upon hitting around 30k (the morey you get, the better!) yen, you should've found already around 50 different weapons, if not, farm a little bit with my list on instant kill difficulty.

I also have to mention here that there are independent job brokers in the world as well which offer you mini-game-jobs. In my opinion the one where you can get the most money for the smallest effort is the tuna-cut minigame at castle Amana from the "iron warrior". If you do this on instant kill it will only take you around 15 seconds and earns you 600 Yen!

Weapon Arsenal49 (20)

Now we wait until day 5 (or do something else until then) and afterwards go to the post station (left on the worldmap of Takatana village). One of the traders will sell skill scrolls for the different weapons/stances/styles. 800 for the barehanded and 1000/1200/1600 for every other one. Now upon having spent ALL your money (use up the scrolls each time when you are full), kill the trader, his guards and everyone else standing in your way (attacking you, not literally standing there!!) BEFORE you leave the area. You should get all your spent money back!! Now leave Amana and rinse repeat until you got every weapon covered you own. This will give you ALL the stance related achievements!! (if not, farm more weapons) Don't be fooled by the short description, this will take A LOT of time considering that you have to carry the right weapon to upgrade and then switch to another one! Also you will have to get every weapon in the game once and upgrade every skill with it. Make sure to use my list to get every weapon possible!

It's up to you if you do this on instant kill or easy, but be warned that if you get killed BEFORE you claim your money back, it's lost! So save before that. This will also unlock the 100 skills learned achievement and master 30 weapons.

We will now concentrate on the Endings. Since I provide a step by step guide in a different list for that, there is no need to go into detail now. However, you will have to kill Shuzen Fujimori as well for an achievement and the endings I recommend are the true ending and ending 21. He is easily one of the toughest enemies in the whole game, with his dual swords (both unique swords of course) and an incredible skill in using them. Without a really good set of weapons and a shitload of healing potions, he is really tough to beat. If you however get maximum trust by doing jobs for castle Amana on instant kill, you can enter his quarters for an audience and kill him off with one clean cut. You might also earn his unique weapons so this is a double win for you.

Now we go on each difficulty for the endings. While easy and normal are easy enough and don't have any certain ending that's best done on those skill levels, for hard and instant kill I recommend ending #7 on hard and #14 on instant kill. This will take another chunk of time and dedication and even one slight change will change the ending, so be consistant with the list!

There should be now only 3 achievements left to do. Those will need a little bit of practice, that's why I write them here. The first will be for getting a samurai rating of 120%!

Start up a game on normal (higher difficulties make the points earned higher!) with a decent weapon (should have by now one with at least 110 ATK, if not, level up since you will need a good weapon for the boss fight). You will need to act honorably and get maximum trust with Osei (speak to her as often as you can and whenever you can. do the same in between events if possible!). Now we start at Kuchigahara "I've been better" and head down the rice paddy to talk to Kota "calm down kid". Omiki town (cutscene on middle bridge) and talk to Osei. Head to the road, talk to the thugs "stealing is bad you know?", speak to Yuma "i have a grudge with Fujimori" and get to castle Minori's guards "I was approached by one of your guys". Back to the road, event with Sezuen up at the temple. Speak to him until he leaves. Takatana rice tax event "please have mercy". Leave to Kuchigahara, return and talk to Osei in the kitchen. As you exit, event with Munechika "I'll think about it" and "they'll understand someday". To the road and event with Sezuen up at the temple. Takatana rice paddy with Kota "you may end up better than me". Speak with Osei (behind the house), should mention festival and will move down to the field (if not, leave town and enter again and talk to her until she does! This is important since otherwise she won't respond in the ways needed!!). Castle Minori, event with Yuma and speak to him "I sympathize with you". Castle Amana guard at front gate "I have skills to prove" and win the tournament. Takatana speak with Osei between 16:00 and 18:00 "together we could..". NOBUNAGA EVENT. Takatana visit the farm and castle Minori. On Genjuro say "OK" upon finding Yuma "you're OK with dying for nothing?" and beat him with blunt attacks. Back to Takatana village and talk to Ssei "let's leave Amana together". Kill Shinosuke and leave Amana. You should now have 120% samurai rating and therefore another achievement + title.

I also provide a few of the options you should pick when talking to her (I have added the last portion she´s saying!):

• "I wish all the samurai would disappear from this world" - Answers: "You´re absolutely right", "Samurai are a necessary evil", "I fight for that future"
• "I like the people from this village" - Answers: "Whining won´t solve any problems", "Deal with it", "Don´t use weakness as an excuse!"
• "I hate samurai" - Answers: "I don´t mean you any harm", "Isn't that being prejudice?"
• "The sight of a sword is frightening in this village..." - Answers: "I´ll be careful", "Oh..", "The world will change someday"
• "I´ve seen many samurai in my life" - Answers: "There are reasons to fight", "For the future"
• "Oh.. welcome" - Answers: "I´m here to talk to you", "About Amana", "How are the crops?"
• "The flames of war are spreading destruciton across the land" - Answers: "Until there is peace", "Peace will come once the country is united", "I´ll save as many lives as i can"
• "I enjoy this village´s landscape" - Answers: "I think so too", "I like the landscape of the village", "I feel more alive here"
• "Well, well, you again" - Answers: "I want to clear something up", "I´m sorry"
• "Munechika said that eventually a war.." - Answers: "I don´t want to fight"
• "Every fall, Takatana village has a small festival" - Answers: "That´s exactly why you need that festival", "Praying brings people together", "I feel the same way"

These are definitely not all of them. A small tip here is to always answer mature and honorably, this way you certainly won´t fail. Save before you talk to her, just to make things sure.

The last 2 will be for instant kills. You will have to block in the moment an attack will normally hit you. Now there will flash a button (the first one is ALWAYS the A button!) and as soon as you push it, you enter the instant kill mode. An easy way to enter instant kill mode is to CONSTANTLY spam RB (block button) AND the A button since this is always your first prompt.

Now every enemy will run towards you and engage you and upon pressing the right button you will kill him with one blow. This is a really tough achievement and even 10 will take a lot of practice and dedication, not to mention the 100! Press start as soon as you see the button prompt and button mash the button after getting back to the game. This way you have slightly more time to react, but I can tell, its really hard. You can get this either during a redemption mission where you have to kill 100 to redeem yourself, or either while attacking castle Minori or Amana. Both have infinite spawns, but I recommend Amana since there are way more. Upon getting the 100, you will have both achievements.

ENDINGS

There are 28 Endings and you need to reach each of them to get the corresponding achievement. This will take a lot of time, patience and dedication. Make sure you have good weapons at your disposal and have at least a few levels/practice with it. Having unlocked all skills with it and having the highest upgrade level at the blacksmith is also quite important. Remember, the better your equipment the easier and faster it will get. I will give detailed info on every single ending and how to obtain it. When it tells cutscene, move to the location marked with a "!" on your map. I only mention beforehand if it has to be night, so if there is nothing at all, its ALWAYS daytime.

Ending #1 : Denouement

1. Upon starting in Kuchigahara, choose "I´ve been better"
2. Get down to the rice paddy in Takatana to talk to Kota, get to Amana and talk to the recruiter "Yes, i have skills to prove", win the tourney and move to Minori and tell the guardleader at the gate "Why don´t you use me?"
3. Get to the road, talk to Setsuen until he repeats himself and leaves and get back to Minori
4. Talk to Yuma "You´re working so hard" and talk to him once more "Brother and father?"
5. Now to Kuchigahara, watch the fight between Yuma and Shinnosuke and get to Takatana where you sleep until night (DON'T trigger any events before night fall!)
6. (Night) We visit Kuchigahara 2 times now, once just watching a cutscene between Shinnosuke and Osei and then talk to Shinnosuke "Sakura.. Sakurai?"
7. (Night) Go to Amana, talk to Shinnosuke near the stairs up the palace (DON'T get up there!), take his job and get your reward afterwards.
8. Sleep in Takatana, get to the rice paddy and talk to Kota "You´re pretty good"
9. Go to Amana, watch the event between Kirie and Shinnosuke "Oh.. It´s Nothing" and sleep until night in your home.
10. Off to Kuchigahara, talk to Shinnosuke "Of course" and on your travel to Takatana, the Nobunaga cutscene happens
11. Get up to the farm and trigger the cutscene.
12. Now to Minori for the big battle! Get through the main gate, all the way up until you encounter Genjuru "Okay" (you let him flee), then around the building to encounter Shinnosuke. Now get up the stairs inside, switch your blade to blunt attacks and beat Yuma "You´re OK with dying for nothing?". Escape through the backdoor.
13. Back to Takatana talk to Shinnosuke in front of the farm "Of course i will". Now choose the following dialogue options "I don't want to rebuild Sakurai clan", "I´ll take the dagger".
14. At Kuchigahara use the following dialogue choices "Do what must be done", Stop, stay back" and "Shinnosuke, everyone!".
15. Kill everyone in your way until you reach Shuzen and kill him! When facing the Ninjas, kill Kirie to end the endless spawns.

Ending #2 : With Osei

1. Start with "I've been better", run down to the rice paddy for the cutscene with Kota "Calm down kid" and get to Amana for the tourney "Yes, I have skills to prove"
2. Get to Minori "Why don't you use me" and onward to the road for the Setsuen event. Talk to him until he repeats himself.
3. Now get back to Minori, cutscene with Yuma "You´re working so hard" and talk to him once more "brother and father?" until he repeats himself.
4. Back to the road, cutscene with Setsuen and go to Takatana to speak with Munechika "I´ll think about it" and "They´ll understand someday".
5. Now speak to Osei. We will focus on talking to her until she moves down to the vegetable patch where the farmers work. I provide some questions/answers further below. DO NOT continue the story until she has moved there!
6. Now get down to the rice paddy and talk to Kota "You´re pretty good"
7. Get to Amana and watch the cutscene between Shinnosuke and Kirie "Oh, it´s nothing"
8. Get to Takatana and enter between 17:00 and 19:00. Talk to Osei and choose "Together we could". If not, talk to her some more until she is at the vegetable patch! This is your last chance to do so!!
9. Sleep until night (Shuzen/Nobunaga szene), get to the cutscene in Takatana and move to Minori
10. Let Genjuro go "okay", in the cutscene with Shinnosuke he DOES NOT give you a box and beat Yuma with your blunt attacks "You´re OK with dying for nothing?". Escape the castle and move to Takatana
11. Speak to Osei and choose "Let´s leave Amana together". Follow the cutscenes, beat Shinnosuke (it doesn't mater if you kill him) and finish

Osei Questions/Answers:

Ending #3 : Death of a Samurai

1. Follow the path of Ending 1 until the battle at Minori. Now instead of using blunt attacks on Yuma, kill him. Flee now the castle.
2. In Takatana, choose "I´ll take the dagger" and let the cutscenes continue with any answers. Since you are dead, the game is over now

Ending #4 : End of Sakurai Clan

1. The same as ending 1 until the last part where you talk to Shinnosuke in front of the farm.
2. Now choose the following options: "Of course i will!", I don´t want to rebuild Sakurai Clan" and "Osei must stand before them"
3. At Kuchigahara dont do anything, just watch the cutscene

Ending #5 : Rebirth of Sakurai Clan

1. Same as Ending 1 until the last part where you talk to Shinnosuke in front of the farm.
2. Choose the following options: "Of course i will" and "We´re in dire need of the Sakurai clan"
3. Now on the road talk to Yuma "Whenever you are"
4. At Kuchigahara free Shinnosuke and fight your way through until you reach and kill Shuzen.

Ending #6 : A Song of Defeat

1. Exactly the same as ending 4, except that you don't skip the final cutscene. Wait until you can draw your sword, do so and choose the following options when prompted: "Shinnosuke, i lend you my sword" and "In your dreams!".

Ending #7 : The Chagrin of Shinnosuke

1. At the start choose "I´ve been better" and immediately outside kill Osei.
2. Now do any inklings you like until you reach the Shuzen/Nobunaga cutscene
3. Get to Takatana and kill Shinnosuke

Ending #8 : Usurping the Throne

1. Same as ending 1 until you talk to Shinnosuke in front of the farm
2. Choose the following options: "Of course i will", "The fighting will only end with Shuzen´s defeat" and "I´ll kill you Shizuru, and lead Sakurai clan"

Ending #9 : The Death of Shuzen 1

1. Start with "i've been better", speak to Kota on the rice paddy "Calm down kid" and get to Omiki for a cutscene
2. get to Amana and talk to the recruiter "yes, i've skills to prove"
3. Now concentrate on finishing jobs in Amana castle until you get at least 400 yen per job and the guards recognize you. Do a few inklings until you can enter the castle and talk to Shuzen Fujimori. Now choose "Shuzen, prepare yourself" and "So what?". Now do inklings (except in castle minori!) until the shuzen/nobunaga event occurs
4. Speak to Kirie outside of the door (sometimes he might be replaced by a general) and choose "You should take care of these bandits".
5. Travel to castle Minori and kill Yuma, Genjuro, Shinnosuke and Itsuse.
6. After the auto cutscene choose "I shall rule this land, not you" and kill Shuzen Fujimori as well

Ending #10 : The Death of Shuzen

1. Start with "i've been better", speak to Kota on the rice paddy "Calm down kid" and get to Omiki for a cutscene
2. get to Amana and talk to the recruiter "yes, i've skills to prove"
3. Now concentrate on finishing jobs in Amana castle until you get at least 400 yen per job and the guards recognize you. Do a few inklings until you can enter the castle and talk to Shuzen Fujimori. Now choose "Shuzen, prepare yourself" and "So what?".
4. Talk to princess Aragi now and do a few inklings until an event in the middle of the map of Amana appears.
5. Cutscene with Shuzen and Aragi. Pull out your sword as soon as you can and kill Shuzen. If you don't do it, you will trigger another ending!

Ending #11 : The Death of Shuzen 3

1. Follow the steps of ending 10 until part 3.
2. Pull out your weapon as soon as you can and kill Shuzen immediately!

Ending #12 : With Shuzen 1

1. The same as ending 9 until the last part where you choose "I will do as you wish"

Ending #13 : With Shuzen 2

1. Exactly the same as ending 6 until the last part
2. Kuchigahara cutscene choose "Shinnosuke i´ll lend you my sword" and "Please make me your vassal"

Ending #14 : With Shuzen 3

1. Exactly the same as ending 1 until you reach the Kirie/Shinnosuke cutscene
2. Choose "I saw that crest in Takatana village". Now watch or skip the cutscenes.

Ending #15 : The Diabolic Wife 1

1. The same as ending 10 until you have the event in the middle of the map of castle Amana
2. You have to have killed at least 100 people before you can trigger this event. Simply kill a villager or anyone in one of the towns, get outside and do one of the redemption quests of the job broker (normally you have to kill 100 enemies during these). Do any inklings until an inkling appears over Takatana during day.
3. Aragis handmaid will appear. Now sleep until night, Aragi will apear and the shuzen/nobunaga cutscene will happen
4. Now speak to Kirie in Amana "You should take care of these bandits" and kill everyone in Minori
5. Choose after the final cutscene "As you wish" and kill Shuzen

Ending #16 : The Diabolic Wife 2

1. Same as ending 15 except that you have to beat Shuzen with blunt attacks

Ending #17 : Die as a Bandit

1. Choose any option at the start, go to Minori, talk to the guard leader "Why don't you use me" and kill Genjuro to become the new leader of Ouka clan.
2. Now do any inklings until you reach Shuzen/Nobunaga cutscene and battle your way through the soldiers at Minori.

ENding #18 : With Matsuzaki

1. Start with "I´ve been better", speak to Kota "calm down kid" and get to the road for a cutscene with Ouka Thugs "you know stealing is bad?". Now talk to Yuma after the cutscene "that's just an excuse" and talk to him until he repeats himself.
2. Get to Minori, talk to the guard leader "i was approached by one of your guys", get to the Road for a cutscene with Setsuen and talk to him until he repeats himself.
3. Back to Minori, trigger the cutscene with Yuma "You´re working so hard" and talk to him once more "father and brother?"
4. Get to Kuchigahara for a cutscene at the shrine, go to the Road for a cutscene with Setsuen "I´d love to", get to Minori and talk to Genjuro "Sure what do you need" and win the battle (make sure Genjuro survives). Talk to him afterwards.
5. Get to the Road, talk to Setsuen "Loud and clear, now don't kill me" and back to Minori for a cutscene with Yuma
6. From now on we concentrate to get full trust with Genjuro. This is similar to getting Osei to trust you, you have to give the right answers so he likes you more. However, those answers are quite simple so i won't write them down. Just remember that he is a coward, doesn't want to fight and wants others to do his work. Save before you attempt it and leave/reenter the area again and again.
7. Get to Takatana, talk to Kota "you're pretty good" and back to Minori for the party cutscene "Got it, Brother"
8. After the Shuzen/Nobunaga cutscene get to Minori and choose "Then, i´ll go with you". Kill Kirie and escape the castle.

Ending #19 : With Itsuse

1. This is the same as ending 18 until point 6, except that you concentrate on building maximum trust to Itsuse. She will want to to practice fights with you, just agree to be her training partner. If you did earn max trust, she will say that she´ll possibly die tonight.
2. Get to Amana and talk to the recruiter "I´ve got skills to prove", then to Minori and talk to Itsuse "How would i know"
3. After the Shuzen/Nobunaga cutscene, get to Minori and answer "I´m with you until the end"
4. Now fight your way to Shuzen and kill him

Itsuse Questions/Answers:

• "When you come face to face with an enemy, what’s the definite way to kill him?" - Answers: "Remain Calm and Assess the situation"
• "It’s a quiet night" - Answers: "Get some sleep so you can fight better"
• "We’ve been talking quite a bit lately" - Answers: "Things would be the same"
• "…What are you doing up so late" - Answers: "The stars are beautiful tonight"

Ending #20 : Senseless Person

1. Start with the option "I´ve been better"
2. In Takatana kill Munechika and Osei
3. Off to castle Minori, speak to the guard leader "Why don´t you use me?", kill Yuma, Itsuse and Genjuro
4. Go to Takatana, sleep until night, get to Kuchigahara and kill Shinosuke
5. Now do any inklings you like (except for the ones at Castle Amana) until the Nobunaga scene shows
6. Sleep for 3-4 days now at Takatana, speak to Kota "No it´s too scary" and finish the game.

Ending # 21 : Undercover

1. Choose "I've been better", talk to Kota on the rice paddy "calm down kid" and get to the Road for the cutscene with the Ouka thugs "you know stealing is bad". Now talk to Yuma and say "I have a grudge against Shuzen"
2. Go to Minori, talk to the guard leader "i was approached by one of your guys"
3. get to the Road and talk to Setsuen until he repeats himself and leaves.
4. Get to the Road once more for another Setsuen event "i´d love to"
5. Either sleep until night at Takatana or trigger the cutscene at Minori (depends on when it shows up on the map) for the party. Now get outside, talk to Itsuse "i´m not interested" and move over to Takatana to save (might trigger a rice tax event, if so, simply answer "It has nothing to do with me", but it isn´t important what you answer)
6. Back to minori talk to Genjuro "Sure, what do you need?" and survive the ambush (doesn't mater if Genjuro survives)
7. Get to the road during night and trigger the Setsuen event "Loud and clear.." and back to Minori for an event with Yuma
8. Takatana and talk to Kota "you´re pretty good" and sleep until night
9. Road you will have an encounter with an assassin. Beat him and answer "What did you do that for" and trigger the Shuzen/Nobunaga cutscene.
10. Sleep until night, enter the road for another Setsuen event "You´ve found your man", enter Amana and kill Shuzen

Ending #22 - 28

These are only different credits after different endings. No need to explain how to get them since they are obtained automatically after you've done all the other endings.

For those that prefer videos over written guides, i also found a really good collection of walkthroughs. Be aware its PS3, but still the endings are the same! All credit goes to Sephirothsawakening (browse through the playlists to find every single ending!).

WEAPONS

I will point out here the weapons how I found them. Except for the special weapons which specific characters carry, you might get them from other enemies as random drops. I will also point out if they are rare or not and if you have to play a certain difficulty to get them. Weapons which you can get on normal, can be found as well on hard and instant kill, but not on easy! I recommend farming for weapons on instant kill since it will spare you lengthy fights, but also keep in mind that you can die in one hit as well. NEVER use barehanded style on instant kill because these hits WON'T kill on the first strike!

Upper Stance (15 weapons)

Kabura-Sutegi : Nameless Samurai. After getting the manji-Kabura, talk to the fabled merchant once more and after that go to Takatana and sleep until night. Now get up the hill to the smith, and you should see a Samurai standing there. Kill him to get the sword.
Kakitsubata : Syuzen on Instant Kill. Misae will give you a job called "Assasinate Lord Shuzen" and you will find instead a body double. Kill him to get the sword (very rare, save before you get to him to reload if you don't get it!)
Kikusui : Shinnosuke on Hard (rare weapon!)
Manji-Kabura : Fabled Trader trades it for 10 golden eggs. You get golden eggs after day 5 from the trader in Takatana. Use all your money up to buy 10, kill him to retrieve your money and leave amana. Upon entering amana again do 3-5 inklings (kota on rice paddy, princess in omiki town, Amana tourney, Minori guardgate fight and setsuen on road) to make the merchant appear. Get to the road and he´ll be behind the temple, down by the river on the boat. If not, do more inklinks or wait a few days. Have the eggs with you, go to his normal menue for buying (maybe buy something, but its optional) and ask if he has anything else. Try every conversation option, then try to leave and he will relent and show you his special stuff. Trade in for the golden eggs. (NOTE: Talk to him once more after the buy if you didnt get the Kabura-Sutegi yet!)
Moderate Blade : This is your starting weapon!
Oborozukiyo : Shinnosuke
Onikirimaru : Ouka Clansmen on Normal
Reihou-Masakuni : Fujimori Guards on Instant kill
Samurai Sword : Dona (one of the available Partners. Will appear after day 30 on the Posting Station from 06:00 to 12:00)

Tuna : Nyanya (One of the available partners. Will appear after you apologized to all the cats. These are scattered through 4 areas, each time on different places (Road, Amana, Omiki, Takatana). You know that you were succesfull if they roll on their backs (after around 90 seconds) and follow you around. Once they do it, you don't have to do it on the same cat in that area again. She will appear at the Guard Gate between 06:00 and 12:00 and carries a full cat outfit. Kill her to claim the weapon

Benihime: Ensen (One of the available Partners. You have to get 1000! kills to make him spawn and he will be at the Guard Gate from 18:00 to 24:00. However, you can also get this weapon from Kirizo since he will randomly drop it by chance. Far easier then doing it the classic way!)

Note: In Omiki town there is Yukino standing at night. She randomly carries any Spear except for Rasetsunyo. I strongly recomend farming any missing weapons from her rather than finding them all legit

Broom: Vilalger at Posting station, watch out for someone brooming
Endou: Yukino on Instant Kill (One of the available Partners. Apears in Omiki Town around 18:00 to 24:00 but only after you did a few inklings)
Houzuki: Inside the tent at Kuchigahara
Jakou: Ouka Clansmen on Hard
Kotobuki-Taisha: Fujimori Guards on Hard
Long Green Onion: Drops during the battle to join Shuzen Fujimori
Masai: Fujimori Guards on Normal
Mikazuki: Fujimori Guards on hard (occasionally droped by Ronin as well)
Rasetsunyo: Yuma (spear fighter at Minori)
Sazanka: Fujimori Guards
