3. Story walkthrough

Well, sadly you have to play the campaign twice since the difficulty achievements do not stack. Therefore I recommend that you start with your hard playthrough and then continue with the normal. The spawns ystem is quite forgiving and there's infinite respawns on nearly every level (there are only 2 where that isn't the case). I also recommend doing the collectibles on the normal difficulty rather than on hard, although you don't have to of course and its totally up to you. 2 playthroughs gives you plenty of time to pick them all up.

Story on Hard

Like I mentioned above, this is considered to be the playthrough where you breeze through the campaign without trying much for the collectables. However, if you stumble upon some of them, don't be shy to collect them as you find them. Also destroy as many walls as possible and destroy trees whenever you can since there are some achievements for those. Also use your autoinjector since you will die fast and will need it for the achievement as well. I did also find some videos for those which prefer those above the written guides.

Welcome to Bad Company

This is actually the respective first level and, as it goes in shooters, it's a small tutorial. Simply follow the instructions and head on until you have fully repaired the vehicle. Now you get your first combat assignment which is to stop the artillery shelling. Follow the road in your vehicle up the hill and kill everything you see around the mortars. As soon as you're done and regroup at the smoke you get the next objective which is to protect the convoy. Man the turret and shoot away (a small tip I can give, aim ahead of the road so the shelling hits them when they drive to the convoy). Now you get objective RAM which consists of reaching a house, getting the new weapon and killing all enemies at the destination. Afterwards you get objective MUSTANG, proceed towards the farm and destroy everything until you get the new objective IMPALA (after destroying the tank actually). Now get to the anti-air base, pick up the C4 and destroy the turrets. You will get now objective BRONCO and after proceeding to the east farm and following the convoy you will get your last big objective, called TAURUS. Destroy the radar jammer and clear out the base. After the video and at the loading screen you get your first achievement for mastering the level on hard.

Acta non Verba

You start the level in front of a house with the acta non verba sign on it. Get inside and you should get the following achievement for your first gold bar.

Find one gold bar

Now you will get the objective to reach the riverbed. As soon as you are there, use the boat and head along to the missile depot (objective to your left) and afterwards to the fuel depots (to your right). After gathering at the smoke, collect the mortar designator, destroy the tank on the bridge (sadly the bridge dies along with him) and head up to your next objective. Take a ride and get to the next smoke signal. Now you will start with the assault on the city. Destroy all the stationary rocket launchers (use the mortars from a distance and bomb them into oblivion) and be careful since theres a tank here too. After that you will be riding the tanks and assist them in their advance. Best tip I can give here, go on foot and take the thugs out as soon as you see them, OR mount the machine gun on the tanks. At least one has to survive, having a power tool will help here too. When reaching the town, destroy the com stations and afterwards defend the badly damaged tank. Powertool is again the name of the game, but be aware that there will be tanks and you will need to switch between tool and rocket launcher. Also keep the ammo box in mind, it will help you greatly. Now your next big asset will be the harbor. Reach it and conquer it and the mission ends, netting you another achievement on hard.

You might get another achievement in this mission, but again, its not forcibly that way. However, I got it in this mission without even trying so the same might be true for everyone else.

Crossing Over

As the level starts, head directly to the smoke to meet up with Haggard. In this part pick up the rocket launcher and DON'T switch to a sniper rifle. No matter how good you are at sniping, the enemy is better EVEN when using a MG, so don't even bother. Now head to the south antenna box (destroy it of course), then the east antenna box and finally the north antenna box. Reach the harbor after regrouping and scout it out. This area is tough without the rocket launcher and I recommend that you head straight to the target than fighting all the enemies. Fight what is necessary but no more than that. Now reach the cargo ship, walking straight for the objective is again the best tip I can give since as soon as you get close the level ends.

After finishing the level, you get, of course, the achievement for doing so.

Now is the point where you should've used your autoinjector a lot and of course the corresponding achievement will pop here.

You should've also destroyed quite a lot of walls while going through the levels. Although, if you haven't you will get the achievement on your normal playthrough.

Home Wrecker17 (15)

Destroy 200 walls

This is also the level where the achievement for destroying a certain number of trees unlocked for me. However, I can tell that the level where you fly the heli is by far the best suited for that one since you can easily destroy a lot of trees with your rockets without even having to bother about ammo.

Par for the Course

As the mission starts head to the vista point and destroy the 3 missile launchers. Now head to the supplies (no need to tell you that you have to pick them up) and keep the designator as long as possible since you will stumble upon a few tanks. Destroy the mission objective tank, rout the enemies at the new location and use the tank to reach the next smoke signal (of course there is heavy resistance on the way). The part I struggled quite a bit with was the bridge. You should use a sniper rifle here, because you wont be able to reach even halfway across the bridge without being shot down (the accuracy of the enemies is insane). Reach and secure the palace but that's easier said than done. The garden is heavily fortified with emplaced weapons and crawling with mercenaries. The only tip I can give is to take out the turrets first because gladly the enemies are stupid enough to not use the turrets again (well, in 9/10 they dont, no 100% guarantee here). Once inside and you have killed everything, head upstairs to the door and the level will end.

Of course there is another achievement for that feat.

Air Force One

Once you start the level you should unlock the achievement for using each possible vehicle in the game.

Been There, Drove That!25 (20)

Drive all vehicle types (Jeep, Tank, Heli, Boat)

In this level there isn't much to explain. Follow the mission markers when you are inside of the chopper and destroy the targets as prompted. Be careful since once you die you have to restart from the last checkpoint. The tip I can give is that you should shoot down every vehicle you spot ASAP since about 90% of them can hit and harm you. If you are seriously damaged, land somewhere save and repair yourself, but make sure that when you save there are no enemies, no steep ground and no obstacles in the way. All three factors can damage your heli and you certainly don't want to start over again and again. The most tricky part will be when you need to refuel the chopper. Head first to the left truck (it will be shot down in a mater of seconds) and after that, dispose of the tank and get the northernmost truck next. Upon entering, exit it immediately and rout every single enemy in the vicinity. As soon as that is done you should be fine and can refuel. Now defend the area (best use the turret) and continue until youre done with the level.

Another achievement for a successful chapter.

You should get 2 more achievements at around this time. The first is for destroying 50 AI manned vehicles which you should've reached by now. If not, you will earn it during your playthrough on normal. The 2nd is for destroying 25 enemies whilst in a chopper and that should've been unlocked easily in this level.

Crash and Grab

You start the mission on the crashsite and your primary objectives will be to find out where your team members are. First you will have to reach the village (to the right will be the smoke signal and mission marker), then grab a boat and head to the com center. Investigate the basement with the security room inside and head out to the monastery. There you will meet your team again, but be careful it's heavily fortified and guarded again and the way is quite long. Now all you need is to locate and free Serdar and the mission is done.

Ghost Town

This is the last level. Head to the small city and eliminate each resistance there. Be careful for snipers here! When prompted towards sadiz grab the heaviest armored vehicle possible, preferably a heavy tank. On your way you will come to a small encampment which is brimming with rocket launchers and taking those out with a vehicle that only can take one shot is pretty hard. You will also face several tanks on your way, so keep a rocket launcher in case of cases. When heading through the mortar field, I strongly recomend to never leave the tank and waste everything you see, but sadly your tank will explode and in that case wreak as much havoc as possible before dying. Keep a tank on you all the time, you will need it for the next part. This is actually the toughest part of the whole level since you have not only to take put 2 bridges in a time limit, you are also not allowed to die since you will have to restart from a checkpoint. The tank will come in handy here, so keep it as long as possible, but in case it blows up use the rocket launcher to finish the job. Advance again towards Sadiz, pick up the designator at the supplies and blow up the silos from the view point. Now move out and head to the transport. Be fast because the mortar strike can kill you and is quite unforgiving if you stick too long in the open. Let haggard drive you to safety and the next objective will be to take down the stupid chopper. As soon as you reach the AA gun, it gets destroyed and you will have to handle him with the rocket launcher. I wont lie, this is a painful progress but as soon as you hit him around 3-5 times he will go down and the level will end.

In the crash and grab level there are actually 2 achievements you can get as well. The first will be for hitting a chopper with a laser designator. it might sound tough, but actually it isn't, if you keep trying you will get it eventually. The designator in this level can be found near a dam on your way to the monastery. Try to lure the chopper to the monastery and kill him from the highest point. which will automatically give you the second achievement.
