Marathon: Durandal Walkthrough

3. Story walkthrough

Segment 1. Lo'owon

Level 1. Waterloo Waterpark (2 terminals)

The game drops you off into a firefight between some Pfhor and your comrades. If you pull out your fists, instead of your pistol and run up to them and start punching them and score a kill you start knocking off kills for this ugly achievement.

SEVEN Achievement in Marathon: Durandal

SEVEN8 (7)

Online/Offline - This achievement can be obtained in either an online or offline modeSingle Player - This achievement can be obtained in single player game modesCooperative - This achievement can be obtained in non-versus game modes where players work togetherCumulative - This achievement is obtained by gradually increasing one’s total number of experience points, kills, hours, or similar measures, over time to meet certain goals
Get seven fist kills in the game.

I hate uneven gamescore, and the first 3 you get are the ugliest of the lot. You should get the fist kills all by the first level as you only need 7, but the sooner you get that out of the way the better. As you move on through the level you should eventually encounter another firefight between some more Pfhor and your buddies, once this fight ends move towards the other end of the room and go around a pillar and you should find two staircases. If you take the right staircase and drop all the way down you will see the machine gun sitting there waiting for someone to pick it up. Grab and win this:

Bigger Guns Nearby Achievement in Marathon: Durandal

Bigger Guns Nearby14 (14)

Online/Offline - This achievement can be obtained in either an online or offline modeCooperative - This achievement can be obtained in non-versus game modes where players work together
Find the Assault Rifle in a Single player or Co-Op Game, it will let you kill more Pfhor.

After that kill everything that comes at you in there as it is an ambush.

*Also it is possible to get the shotgun in this level behind a secret door in the room down the left staircase, but that's for you to find if you want it. You don't need it for an achievement, and there is more opportunities to get this gun later on.

If you leave this level without these two achievements, just mark them down and come back later.

Level 2. The Slings & Arrows of Outrageous Fortune (2 terminals)

Level 3. Charon Doesn’t Make Change (9 terminals)

If you didn't pick up the machine gun in level 1, you can grab it here. It's over looking the level lake around the giant brown tower where you first drop down, run around the tower and you should see a break in the wall and it should teleport out there.

Segment 2. Volunteers

Level 4. What About Bob? (3 terminals)

Level 5. Come and Take Your Medicine (2 terminals)

The second terminal on this level may be a little tricky to find. Go down a blue stairway and turn left and keep going, when you see a switch on the left and double doors in front of you, go through the double doors and it's just a little bit further.

Level 6. We're Everywhere (2 terminals)

Segment 3. Garrison

Level 7. Ex Cathedra (2 terminals)

Level 8. Nuke and Pave (1 terminal)

Level 9. Curioser and Curioser (2 terminals)

Segment 4. Citadel

I know, I know. Kind of like seriously, when will I get rewarded for doing this campaign. Well don't worry. Your next points are coming up if you can make it through this segment.

Level 10. Eat it, Vid Boi! (4 terminals)

Level 11. The Hard Stuff Rules... (7 terminals)

Some of the terminals in this level, particularly near the final S'pht database cannot be accessible, these are NOT part of the terminal count. If you have not read 7 unique terminals, then you have not read all of them in this level.

Level 12. Bob's Big Date (4 terminals)

Level 13. Six Thousand Feet Under (5 terminals)

Once you have completed this level you will obtain the first of the two impossible to miss achievements. Yet it is still an ugly gamerscore.

Level 15. Sorry Don't Make It So (2 terminals)

Level 16. For Carnage, Apply Within (3 terminals)

Level 17. Begging For Mercy Makes Me Angry (2 terminals)

Segement 6. Captured

Now look at that. You have gone, and gotten yourself captured. So all those weapons and everything you have picked up, yeah remember those? Yeah too bad. All gone, all you got is your fists and 1/3rd or so of your red health bar. But don't worry those buddies of yours will come in and bust you out, so just sit back, go grab a candy bar, or something while they bail... err... burst you out of jail.

Level 18. Big House (0 terminals)

It should also be mentioned that you can now start a game from the halfway point, or this point, from now on. Which you will later utilize during this walkthrough.

Segment 7. Blake

Level 19. This Side Towards Enemy (2 terminals)

Level 20. God Will Sort the Dead (1 terminal)

Ugh... I hated this level. Just my 2 cents.

Level 21. My Own Private Thermopylae (2 terminals)

Level 22. Kill Your Television (2 terminals)

Segment 8. Simulacrums

Level 23. Where the Twist Flops (2 terminals)

Level 24. Beware of Abandoned Rental Trucks (5 terminals)

There are 4 terminals at the beginning of this level, but they should all be counted as individuals.

Level 25. Requiem for a Cyborg (5 terminals)

There are 3 terminals at the beginning that say the same thing, each of these are counted individually.

Segment 9. S'pht'Kr

Alright guys, last segment, just 3 measly levels away from completing the campaign, and acquiring that second impossible to miss achievement.

Level 26. Fatum Iustum Stultorum (2 terminals)

Level 27. Feel the Noise (2 terminals)

Level 28. All Roads Lead to Sol (2 terminals)

The first terminal that you find in this level is the secret Bungie Room terminal.

Use the link provided above to show you how to gain access to the Bungie Room. Also it should be noted to not stop moving as there have been reports of being teleported out if you stop moving before you read the terminal. Once you teleport out of the room, you will be automatically teleported into the final room. Kill the enemies if you want, or do what the video does and read the final terminal, popping you:
