4. Story Walkthrough - Part II
Story Walkthrough - Part Two
World Map
- Return to Dahngrest
Dahngrest
- Go to the central square for a cutscene
- Rest at the Inn; Yuri will obtain his Vigilante Title, while Repede will learn his Sinful Sidekick Title
- Go towards the Eastern exit of the city; Estellise will obtain her Seeker of the Truth Title; you will be out in the World Map again
Sidequests:
- Dahngrest: Duke # 03/07 - Enter Dahngrest from the East side again to trigger a short cutscene.
- Ghasfarost: Brionac # 03/16 - (Note: on the way to Ghasfarost a short story-related cutscene may occur; don't worry about it) Enter the tower through the first door available; you'll be in the first room where you started; from here, enter the room Southeast (the one with the save point) and a short cutscene will automatically trigger.
World Map
- Backtrack towards Heliord; a scene will occur first, then another one will cause the party to take a break
- When the party is resting, speak with everyone and then with Repede; agree to rest (as a side note, you may actually just speak with Repede twice and decide to rest without speaking with the rest of the group)
- More cutscenes will occur, and Karol will get his Brave Vesperia Leader Title
- Return to Heliord
=============================
Heliord
Monster checklist: two bosses (one main opponent and its minions).
- Rest at the Inn
- When you take back control again, head towards the Western exit for a cutscene with Judith
- Go to the main blastia's square
- Speak with the guard South of the blastia; it's the guard on the left of an elevator-platform; a scene will trigger, and you'll be asked to choose "who to dress"; it makes no difference, except from the cutscenes which will be slightly different, so feel free to make your own choice (for some reason, most people will choose Judith)
- Enter the Inn and speak with the Shopkeeper inside (on the left side)
- Deliver him a bunch of ingredients which are in fact just common drops from the enemies nearby Heliord; you probably already have everything, so you should just speak with him again after the first time
- Dressed up anew, head for the main blastia's square again for another cutscene; you'll be asked to make another choice now, about some "knight armor". Once again, the choice doesn't matter, except for the cutscenes which are a bit different
- Either way, head for the Chevalier's HQ afterward (on the East side of the city)
- Return to the usual square again for another cutscene
It's a good idea to save your game at the Inn now; by now you have your party members back (except Raven). Some items have been added to your inventory too: High Power Yo-yo, Magic Tunic, Tartan Ribbon.
- Ride the elevator down
- Follow the way on the lower level (where a tent camp is); a boss fight will trigger
Boss Fight # 11 - Yeager and 3x Titane
Yeager has 18,000 HP, each Titane has about 10,000 HP.
Use the usual Magic Lens on one of the Titane enemies, then another on Yeager; take care of the minions first and then go after the main boss. It's an easy fight.
World Map
- You're outside Heliord after the fight; backtrack to Capua Torim; on the way, "someone" will rejoin
=============================
Capua Torim
- Rest at the Inn
- Speak with your characters (here's a map of their position; the green B is a reference for the next sidequest); Judith will be found trying to leave the city from West; Repede is just outside the inn; Karol and Rita are in the two different rooms of the inn; Estellise is on the lower level of the main Western street; Raven is on the left-most dock
- Rest again at the Inn; you'll wake up the following day
Sidequests:
- Capua Torim: Brionac # 04/16 - Speak with a woman standing before a tree on the right of the stairs leading up to the Fortune's Market HQ (the previous green B); there'll be a scene about Judith's "hobby".
- Go to the East side of the city and a cutscene will trigger
- Keep going East for another scene, this time with Kaufman
- Go to the dock where Raven was standing the previous night, and speak with Kaufman here
- Speak with her again when you're ready to leave (there won't be any particular fight, so you don't need any preparation) and confirm your intention to sail the ocean
=============================
World Map
With the Fiertia ship, you can now access a lot of areas. Some areas may actually be too "dangerous" for you, so it's probably a good idea to stick to the main path and avoid the attempts of free-roaming too much. There are many quests to tackle though, and you don't want to proceed too much in the story because otherwise you may not be able to complete them all. In particular, what will happen will be:
1. You sail a bit and there's a cutscene; you're put against a group of 5x Predafish enemies (regular foes, easy to dispatch)
2. You sail farther South/Southwest and there's another cutscene: you're bound to complete a dungeon called "Atherum"
3. You sail and approach the next destination (read approach), and when this happens, you're not able to go back to sail and free roam for quite a while
So please avoid the area around the blue circle on this picture, because that's your destination, and if you happen to get there, you won't be able to do a lot of important things. We'll go after the quests soon after the Atherum dungeon (it's easy, quick and boss-free).
- Anyhow, sail a bit from Capua Torim and fight against the 5x Predafish which will assault the ship
- Keep going South/Southwest, and a cutscene will trigger: you'll be forced to deal with the Atherum area
=============================
Atherum
Save points: two available (one on the Fiertia, the other on the Atherum).
Item checklist: Trident, Ogre Sword, Seal Bottle+Limit Bottle+Specific+Treat, Lemon Gel, Orange Gel, Life Bottle, Magic Lens x 3, Seal Bottle, Snipe Xiphos, Takemikazuchi, Rice+Dried Seaweed+Salmon, Specific (reward for defeating fake chest "Fake"), Limit Bottle, Holy Bottle, Pineapple Gel, Melange Gel, Mat, Orange Gel, Limit Bottle, 4,000 G, Seal Bottle, Pirate Hat, Holy Symbol, Red Box (story-related).
Monster checklist: Hawk, Aquates, Assassin, Predafish, Anchorgeist, Poltergeist, Fake (fake chest).
In this area you'll have to divide your party into two groups; one will go ahead first, then the other group will go too; then they meet again. The path of the first group is slightly longer, but you can pretty much put whoever you prefer in either group, except that Yuri and Repede will be in the first group by default.
Since it's quite a messy dungeon (many different "levels" on the same area), here you can find a map for the first group's path, but we'll go with some text description for the other small portion: it's more reliable.
Also, keep in mind that as you proceed, sometimes the doors behind you will permanently shut: follow the correct path, or you'll leave things behind you without being able to return there.
- With Yuri's group, the path is very simple: follow the path East to enter the ship, and once you reach a room with a staircase leading upwards, take it
- Go upstairs again
- Enter the room on the left to reach the "End" part
Then you'll have control of the second party.
With your second party, go up the mast in the middle of the ship: its top is broken, so you can now use it as a sort of bridge to reach the other end of the ship. Here climb down a ladder and enter the first door you come across (just on the right of the ladder you climbed down) to be in a room with Pineapple Gel and Melange Gel. Then exit this room, enter the next door (outside, follow the path going right from the last door) and follow the path through a couple of areas to get Mat from a chest just on the way; keep going left and an event will trigger, causing the parties to merge again.
At this point the door behind you will be locked again; you're in a room with a Save Point (make sure you save), a chest with Orange Gel, a door leading West (besides the one leading East, where you came from, which is now locked) and stairs going upward. Take the door West first, so you'll be outside and you will find a chest with Limit Bottle. You could also climb down another ladder from here, but it would lead nowhere: return inside and go upstairs.
In this last room, ignore the locked door West; examine the bookshelf Northwest for 4,000 G, then the table for Seal Bottle; as you go East some cutscenes will trigger. Examine the Southeast corner afterward, so you can get Pirate Hat, and go up the ladder Northeast to reach the outside and find a chest with Holy Symbol; you could go up another mast too, but you would find nothing after climbing both its two ladders. Therefore, just return inside and examine the desk on the East side to proceed with the story (you will trigger an event fight against 3x Poltergeist + 2x Anchorgeist in the middle of the various cutscenes).
You will obtain Red Box and the door West will be unlocked: exit through it, then make your way downwards by using some ladders (you will step by the platform where the last Limit Bottle was, but thanks to some automatically-collected ropes you'll be able to go all the way down now).
- Back on the ship, Rita will obtain her Anti-Nonsense Title; then you're on the World Map again, free to move around (just don't approach the next destination)
=============================
Sidequests
Yep, a whole section for sidequests alone.
- Deidon Hold: Warehouse Master # 01/05 - Speak with the man standing before the Store Room on the East side of the area; he'll ask you to clean up a warehouse. Here's a video for a solution of the puzzle; although it seems easy and simple at first, it may take you quite a while without a guide. Your task is very simple: move the boxes around to make your way to the three chests located in different places inside the warehouse; this will "Clear!" the warehouse. For this first warehouse, the chest will contain: Miracle Gel x 2, Spicy Potion, Limit Bottle x 3; you'll be rewarded with 2,000 G. The rewards aren't very exciting, but there'll be a Title for Karol when you clear the last warehouse, so it's somehow worth it.
- Halure: Sicily # 01/06 - Speak with a green-dresser man standing on the right of the stairs leading to the Inn's entrance.
- Halure: Fairy Tale Weaver # 02/04 - Speak with the kids under the usual big tree; after a cutscene, you will obtain Veil (it's an attachment).
- World Map near Halure: King of Adventure # 03/04 - Locate and enter the camp for some lines of dialogue, then rest.
- Capua Nor: Seafood Bowl # 02/02 - Speak with a woman just outside the Inn to deliver the message and learn the Seafood Bowl recipe.
- Capua Nor: Sicily # 02/06 - Find him on the bridge on the Western side (as you go to Ragou's Mansion), and speak with him to get the Vacance Arte and the Twilight Dreamer Title, both for Raven.
- Capua Torim: Great Boss # 01/05 - Walk forward from the landing point of the Fiertia, and a cutscene involving Repede and another dog will trigger. You will obtain the Marking Map and the Fated One Title for Repede. At this point, the also-known-as "Dog Map" quest has begun. This quest is very simple: sleep outside on the World Map's different areas to "mark the territory" with Repede. You can check the progress of the situation in the Map menu of your main menu (to do so, wait until the second part of this quest, coming soon); by pressing X, the "Dog Map" should show up. It's a very simple task, but you can't complete it right now since you don't have access to all the areas of course, and on the contrary you want to mark them all together one after another. I'll remind you of this quest when its time comes; right now, it'd be just a waste of Mats/Simple Tents/Tents/Barriers, time, and effort, and it may cause you a lot of confusion later.
- Capua Torim: Warehouse Master # 02/05. Here's the video of its solution. You will earn Power Light, Lottery Gel x 3, Golden Horn; 2,000 G.
- Zaphias: Great Boss # 02/05 - In the Public Quarter, find a dog just before the stairs leading to the Royal Quarter. He'll give you the Friendship Fur Ball, so you're now "fully prepared" for the "Dog Map quest". Still, leave it for later and don't worry even if the map turns all red.
- Zaphias: Dark Enforcer # 02/06 - In the Royal Quarter, a scene with a certain "Shel" will automatically trigger. After the cutscene, follow the way leading to the Northwestern exit of Zaphias (past the path leading to Mordio's Residence) to find him again: speak with him once more for another scene. Now go to the Public Quarter and find a girl sitting on a bench with kids around her; speak with her and you will get the Tiger Blade Arte and Kingdom Celeb Title, both for Yuri.
World Map
- That's all. When you're ready, approach Nordopolica with the Fiertia, on the World Map, to continue with the story
=============================
Nordopolica
Monster checklist: Erungar, Jugem, Johann, "special guest", one boss.
Sidequests:
- Nordopolica: Brionac #05/16 - Speak with the man near the cauldron for a scene.
- Nordopolica: there's an Easter Egg available if you examine the board near the man resting on the floor, outside. It's a bunch of references to characters of Tales of the Abyss.
- Nordopolica: Drake # 02/07 - Find him on the stairs to the Coliseum; speak with him for another scene.
- Nordopolica: Wonder Chef # 07/13 inside the Coliseum (the second room, past the room with the save point), in the bottom-right corner of the screen, you will find a sort of trophy; examine it to reveal the chef and have him teach you the Kebab Sandwich recipe.
- Enter the Coliseum and follow the way upstairs to speak with the bodyguard on the left side, before the door to the Coliseum arena (he's "Natz"); a cutscene will trigger
- Rest at the Inn (Raven, who left the party a moment ago, will rejoin now)
Sidequest:
- Nordopolica: Duke # 04/07 - The day after, head upstairs in the Coliseum again to find Duke.
- Nordopolica: Dark Enforcer # 03/06 - Talk to a couple (a bit South of the man with the cauldron; a story-related scene with Regaey will trigger on the way) for a scene; then rest at the Inn for another scene at night; you will get Shining Eagle Arte for Yuri.
- Exit the Coliseum and head for the docks for a scene with Regaey
- Return to the Coliseum and speak with Regaey
Make sure you have Rita/Estellise in your party, because there will be a boss fight with a secret mission requiring the presence of a mage (and a healer, probably). Save the game too
- When you're ready, speak with the central of the three girls at the counter for the subscriptions at the Coliseum fights
- As Yuri alone, you'll have to fight against Erungar, Jugem, Johan first (one after another; use a Magic Lens on each of them, since they are one-time-only enemies!); then against a "special guest" enemy (use a Magic Lens on this opponent, since it's a one-time-only enemy) (this special guest is: Flynn), and then against a real boss
As a side note, you can't win against the "special guest", not even if you're over-powered and use an attack which would deal enough HP of damage as to finish him off (in that case, your attack will deal no damage and the fight will end).
Boss Fight # 12 - ???
This boss has 60,000 HP. He's at level 30. Scan him with a Magic Lens, as usual.
Secret Mission # 08: for this secret mission you have to wait for the opponent's attack "Blastia Suction" when you're using spells on him, like this. Rita's Fire Ball Arte is quick and very good; you need to let him absorb (that is to say, you'll heal his HP instead of dealing damage) your magic attacks 3+ times; another attack will "overload" him and complete the task. If you need, remember that spells are casted more quickly during the Over Limit mode.
This fight is against Zagi (III).
Rewards: Dice; also Drain Charm if the Secret Mission was accomplished.
If you succeed, you will unlock:
Continue playing to unlock this secret achievement. (Secret)
- Defeat a couple of monsters (any two of those in the arena) for more cutscenes
- Exit Nordopolica from Southwest
=============================
World Map
- Reach the Weasand of Cados area (inside a mountain) following the main trail
Weasand of Cados
Map of the area
Note: the Hermit Drill is a Giganto Monster.
Save points: two available (warning: the second one disappears right after the boss fight).
Item checklist: Seal Bottle, Limit Bottle, Mighty Guard, Verbena, 8,000 G, Spiky Bow, War Harpoon, Aquamarine, Avenger's Scroll, Jiraiya, Spine Ripper, Silver Circlet, Simple Tent, Silver Hat.
Monster checklist: Titane (same enemy as in Heliord), Etain, Thunder Bat, Beast Bear, Spider, Agaric, four bosses (same boss which splits into three unique enemies). Also Giganto Monster: Hermit Drill.
In this area you can find the first Giganto Monster of the game. Giganto Monsters are particularly "huge" monsters (this is the Hermit Drill, and he's probably the smallest of them; the giant beast in Quoi Woods' background was another Giganto Monster). These enemies are powerful, noticeably more powerful than the boss of the area where they are located, and the battle theme is also different (side note, anyway). Some of them will be too powerful for a fight on your first time in those areas, but it's not the case of the Hermit Drill. Keep in mind that you can Escape from these fights. Also, Giganto enemies can respawn; they won't always respawn immediately, by exiting/entering again the area, but eventually they will be back. Another way to respawn them is by saving and reloading the game, and this can be done even inside the area where they are (for instance, you can save at the Save Point inside Weasand of Cados, reload, and eventually the Hermit Drill should respawn). They are part of the Monster Book as well, so remember to use a Magic Lens on them when you fight them. If you can't defeat them, there's no shame in running away and leaving them for a backtrack task in the future. Finally, it's important to have triggered the events in the King of Adventure camp before killing any of them, otherwise you will miss a Title for Karol during the last part of that sidequest. You know you can kill them if you got a cutscene with Rich, in that camp, and he told you something about the Giganto Monsters.
Giganto Monster # 01/09 - Hermit Drill
This giganto monster has 73,600 HP, high parameters, but nothing particularly noteworthy except from being harder than the average boss so far. He's weak against Water and strong against Earth, Wind and Dark. He earns you 8,000 G and 10,000 Exp as reward for defeating him.
Drop: Great Crab Shell.
For your first slain Giganto Monster, you will unlock:
Continue playing to unlock this secret achievement. (Secret)
- As you enter the Weasand of Cados, step forward and a fight against 2x Titane and 2x Etain (new and missable enemies; scan them) will trigger: get rid of them
- Then you'll have to follow the way to the end of the dungeon; a scene will trigger before the first save point, but that's all. Remember to save at the second save point, because it will be immediately removed after the next boss fight
Boss Fight # 13 - Pteropus; Leader Bat, Attack Bat, Magic Bat
Pteropus has 66,000 HP and is at level 33; he's weak against Light and strong against Wind, Dark and Water. He can split (when low on HP) in a bunch of Magic Bats, Attack Bats and a Leader Bat (they're all at level 33, and have respectively 6,000 HP, 8,000 HP, 24,000 HP; they have similar element affinities as the Pteropus). The bats can then become one again (returning as Pteropus), so you must be quick in scanning everyone as soon as possible (for a total of four different enemies - Pteropus first, then the other three kind of bats - to scan with your Magic Lenses; they are all one-time-only enemies, as you can imagine). Defeating the Leader Bat prevents them from becoming one again. Estellise's "Photon" Arte is a good offensive, if you don't need to heal.
Secret Mission # 09: defeat the Leader Bat before he can (along with the other bats) become Pteropus again. First of all you have to let Pteropus split; then focus quickly on the Leader Bat enemy (if necessary, set the strategy on "Attack the same enemy"). It's not a hard task, just do your best to be quick and effective. Here's what should happen.
Rewards: Speed Light; also Rebirth Ring if the Secret Mission was accomplished.
If you succeed, you will unlock:
Continue playing to unlock this secret achievement. (Secret)
Sidequest:
- Weasand of Cados: Duke # 05/07 - Return to where the cutscene triggered on your way (before the first, and now only, save point), to find Duke again.
- Exit the Weasand of Cados to the North
World Map
- Reach the nearby city
=============================
Mantaic
Map of the area
Note: the letters mark the characters you'll have to find during the events.
Sidequests:
- Mantaic: Wonder Chef # 08/13 - Examine a Cactus near some trees on the right side of the main path leading to the lake (North); he will teach you the Curry recipe.
- Mantaic: just nearby the Wonder Chef, there's another episode about the Wonder Log.
- Speak with the characters here and there (Rita is inside the inn, Judith is found as you try to exit West, and the rest of the characters are easily found on the streets)
- Go towards the center of the small town (where the two main roads cross) for a cutscene (the cutscene may also only trigger on your way to the Inn); you will obtain the Trophy Wife Title for Judith
- Enter the inn and decide to rest; you will get some attachments: Plain Canteen (Yuri), Expensive Canteen (Estellise), Barrel Canteen (Repede), Kid's Canteen (Karol), Adventurer's Canteen (Rita), Stylish Canteen (Raven), Chic Canteen (Judith).
- Head to the lake (North, outside; where Estellise was) to fill the canteens; you will obtain Glass Marble
- Exit to the West side of Mantaic
Sidequests:
- Mantaic: rest at the inn, after leaving the village for the events, and a scene will trigger; Judith will learn her Moonlight Talon Arte.
- Mantaic: exit the inn, enter and rest again for another scene. This time you will obtain the Mother's Memento item. This item will be needed for a Secret Mission later.
With the Flare/Frost Stones obtainable in the Sands of Kogorh area (they're common drops from those enemies), you can now synthesize the Limit Trio key item to be able to fill the Over Limit gauge up to Level 3.
=============================
Sands of Kogorh
Map of the area
Note: the Medusa Butterfly is a Giganto Monster.
Save points: two available.
Item checklist: Flamberge, Stinger, Executioner, Stone Bottle x 3, Limit Bottle, Mizuchi, Phoenix Guard, Rapid Shot, Air Stone x 3, Riot, Striped Ribbon, Flare Cape+Aqua Cape, Silver Circlet, Lemon Gel+Pineapple Gel, Glowing Ribbon.
Monster checklist: Firebird, Firebat, Red Roper, Fire Spirit (these four are during the day); Superstar O, Icebat, Blue Roper, Ice Spirit (these four are during the night); one boss. Also Giganto Monster: Medusa Butterfly.
There are two particular things in this area: as you walk by, the time passes and there will be cycles of day and night, which change the enemies in the area. The other thing is that you'll have a "water" gauge on the right of the screen; if it goes to 0, your HP will be deplenished while you're standing on the field (walking or not), until you reach 1 HP. The water gauge deplenishes as you walk, and it deplenishes faster if you're walking during the day period. The water gauge can be refilled by shooting with the Sorcerer's Ring the cacti here and there (not the enemies looking like cacti; you have to shoot cacti which are part of the environment, as explained in a cutscene soon after you enter). It will also get refilled in the central area and if you exit to the world map and return. Finally, it gets filled up if you save and reload the game. Overall, it's not going to happen since the water gauge goes down very slowly, and you may not even need to shoot a single cactus and still get everything.
The Superstar O enemies are weak and net you a lot of Exp: use them to level up quickly and easily.
There's another Giganto Monster, the Medusa Butterfly, which can be a very tough opponent.
Giganto Monster # 02/09 - Medusa Butterfly
This giganto monster has 117,200 HP, is at level 45, is weak against Light and strong against Wind, Dark and Water. If you can defeat this enemy, you will get 9,500 G, 14,000 Exp.
Drops: Dragon Powder.
- There is nothing else to point about this place: proceed through the three areas until you reach the save point located North/Northwest of the third area; here a scene will trigger
- Save the game and possibly put Rita in the party, since it'll help for the next Secret Mission; then go on to trigger the next boss fight
Boss Fight # 14 - Outbreaker
The Outbreaker has 78,925 HP. It's at level 35. It can be weak against Water and strong (absorb) against Fire and vice versa; by default, he's weak against Water and strong against Fire. He can change his affinities by spitting an orb and causing it to change the time of the day. In short: if it's day (sunny), he's weak against Water; if it's night, he's weak against Fire.
Secret Mission # 10: you have to break the orb which is used by the boss to change the time and his affinities. There are several ways to do so; some of Yuri's Artes, for instance Severing Fang, can be good for the purpose. You may also use Judith's aerial combos. Or, which is what I suggest, use Rita's Tractor Beam spell (Over Limit mode may help the timing). The power of your attacks doesn't matter; what counts are the hits you land on the orb, regardless of how much damage you deal with those hits. Tractor Beam hits many times, with a 100% success rate (provided you have the enemy in the spell area of course, but you don't have to aim carefully at the small orb like you would have to in the other cases), and that's why I suggest using it (like done here) to succeed. Although the achievement's description reads "...and prevented magic from inverting day and night", it's ok if the monster switches the time one or more times, as long as you eventually break that orb. Some people point out that the orb is revealed more often if you attack the beast with the correct element, but it's not necessary (you may just use Tractor Beam, and eventually the orb would come out).
Rewards: Mysterious Piece; also World Charm if the Secret Mission was accomplished.
If you succeed, you will unlock:
Continue playing to unlock this secret achievement. (Secret)
=============================
Yormgen
Save points: one available.
Item checklist: Hourglass, All-Divide, Limit Bottle, Simple Tent, Strange Mark.
You start in this small village. Examine the left-most bed a couple of times to get Hourglass and then All-Divide, then examine the (cookie?) on the right to reveal Wonder Chef # 09/13, which will net you the Croquette recipe. You may want to read a love message left on the right side of the inn (inside), which is a reference to "Cecille and Frings"... Anyway, exit outside.
After a short cutscene where you meet up with the others (side note - notice how happily and "doggily" Repede welcomes Yuri; that's a quite unique and unexpected reaction from him) and get the story-related item Phaeroh's Feather, open the chest on the right of the inn for Limit Bottle; proceed North and turn right on some wooden platforms. Here you will find another chest (Simple Tent) and then a girl named Yuefan: speak with her for some cutscenes.
Next, head for the building to the North of the village for more cutscenes.
Afterward, enter the same building (the Sage's house) for another extra cutscene and examine the corner Northwest to get the Strange Mark.
You may now speak with your party's members and then rest at the inn (it's not necessary to speak with all the members, about like a while ago on a break on the World Map). The following day you'll be able to leave the village.
World Map
- Backtrack to Mantaic
When you approach the desert, the game asks if you want to "Stay on Field"/"Cancel" or enter the Sands again; those two options are the same, while deciding to return through the Sands is probably not a good choice (time consuming). You may want to enter the Sands from North just for a moment though: the first area from North (where you fought against the Outbreaker) has some items for you: examine the first cactus Northwest for Melange Gel, and then look for a quite hidden chest somewhere Southeast to get a Life Bottle.
=============================
Mantaic
After the first scene, enter the dead end on the right side of the main path leading North to the lake: here you will find the family you previously helped. You will hand over the Glass Marble and get a Miracle Gel in return.
- Rest at the Inn for many scenes
- Head to the lake afterward
- Exit Mantaic to the Eastern exit
World Map
Sidequests:
- Mantaic: Kowz # 01/05 - From the Eastern entrance, take a turn North on the right of the shop to enter a small hallway (on the previous map it was marked with a green line, anyway). Here you will find Kowz. This character will request many items and reward you with poor items, but on the fifth trade he'll pay you back; it's worth it, overall. This first time, give him an Apple Gel to receive Milk.
- Mantaic: Delivery of a Book (Guild Job # 01/07) # 01/03 - Speak with the man on the left side as you head to the lake to be offered a job; accept and then go near the shop to find a red-haired guy. Speak with this last character (Yu Seron) to receive Book of Friendship and Comrade Crest.
- Return to the Weasand of Cados; a scene will trigger on the way, then you'll be able to reach your destination
=============================
Weasand of Cados
Item checklist: Sinclair Saber.
Monster checklist: Quietta, Knight Catcher, Knight Guard, Knight Halberd F, Knight Fencer F.
The Sinclair Saber is in a chest just on the way, in the area where there used to be the second save point, and it's after a couple of monsters. Anyway, just backtrack to Nordopolica, but make sure you use a Magic Lens on the new soldiers as soon as you find a group to engage, because they are missable monsters.
- Return to the exit South of Weasand of Cados
World Map
- Return to Nordopolica
Nordopolica
Monster checklist: Barley, Grain, Rye, Orge, Pepe, Ail, two bosses.
Make sure Yuri is in the party and he has the "Destruction Field" Arte set on. If you happen to have Geo/Air Stones, you may already synthesize Limit Quartet.
- Save the game in the Coliseum, then rest at the Inn
- At night, speak with Natz (before the usual door on the left of the entrance of the Coliseum arena) and head upstairs to Belius' Room
- After the scenes, fight some enemies here and there to collect their datas (they are all missable monsters). You will fight against Orge, Pepe x 2 and Ail in an event fight before the boss fight
Boss Fight # 15 - ??? and ???
The main boss has 96,000 HP. It's at level 38. It's weak against Earth and strong against Wind, Water and Light. When its HP falls below 50% of its max HP, it will split into another monster. Use a Magic Lens on the original monster and on the "Double" monster too. Completing the secret mission will instantly kill the Double monster, making the fight an easy task. Defeating the main enemy will also instantly kill the "Double" enemy, just in case you wonder.
Secret Mission # 11: to make the "Double" monster disappear and nail the secret mission, you must light the four Torch in the arena. To do so, you need a fire-based attack like Destruction Field. The Torches's flames will automatically extinguish after a few moments, so try to be as quick as possible to light the four of them altogether. This will cause the "Double" enemy to disappear and the secret mission to be complete. This is a demonstration, though it's an easy mission to complete. Like the Billybally Leaf earlier in the game, the Torches don't need to be scanned with Magic Lenses, and they can't "die".
This fight is against Belius and Belius (Double).
Rewards: Emerald Ring; also Ice Coffin if the Secret Mission was accomplished.
If you succeed, you will unlock:
Continue playing to unlock this secret achievement. (Secret)
- After the cutscenes you will get the key item Apatheia, Cyano Ciel Crystal (story-related)
- Make your way back to the docks, one cutscene after another; you will eventually be on the Fiertia again
=============================
Fiertia
Save points: one available
"Someone" has left the party (this character is: Judith).
- The save point is just on the left; use it, then speak with the rest of the group by going up the stairs on your right
- After speaking with everyone, you can return downstairs to continue
World Map
- You're on the World Map, sailing again: the next stop is Dahngrest, so you want to land the Fiertia on the shore just North of Ghasfarost
Dahngrest
- Rest at the Inn
- Then exit the Inn, and exit the town to the West exit; you'll be asked if you're ready to depart, but it's a rather useless question since there's no danger ahead (just confirm to proceed)
"Someone" else has left the party meanwhile (this character is: Karol).
=============================
World Map
- Your next destination is North of Keiv Moc; you can reach it by heading towards Keiv Moc itself, then crossing a small wooden bridge North of it, and then following the way up the hill to reach the "manor"
Manor of the Wicked
Map of the area
Save points: one available.
Item checklist: 7,000 G, Lemon Gel, Gothic Plate, Grim Cardian, Orange Gel, Apple Gel, Holy Bottle, Panacea Bottle, Gothic Guard, Ruby Wand, Magic Lens x 5, Crimson Axe, Limit Bottle, Stone Slasher.
Monster checklist: Plomb, Fer.
This is another simple area; in total, from when you start to when you reach the last room upstairs, you'll have to deal with three event fights against regular enemies of the area: 3x Plomb as you enter the area; 2x Plomb+2x Fer as you enter the manor itself; 2x Plomb+2x Fer as you reach the final room.
- Make your way to the room at the end of the corridor upstairs, fighting the three event fights on the way, and watching the cutscenes as you go
World Map
- Afterward, you'll be here; return to Dahngrest
Dahngrest
- After the cutscenes, go towards the hallway where the blastia was when you first arrived in the city, and speak with Karol sitting here; you will get the Troubled One Title for Karol
- Head to the Eastern exit of the town for more cutscenes
World Map
You will be near a shore South of Heliord. There are some side quests you may already start right now, but it's a better idea to delay them just a bit and proceed with the story first. By now, Karol has joined the party again.
- Board on the Fiertia and sail all the way West to a shore located due East of Yormgen (on the World Map's grid, the shore is just "half a square" East of Yormgen)
- From here, head North and then Northwest, so you can reach Mt. Temza
=============================
Mt. Temza
Map of the area
Save points: two available.
Item checklist: Tent, Red Sage, Saffron, Deadly Horn, Lemon Gel, Crimson Phoenix +1, Treat+Specific, Melange Gel, Grand Scepter, Transform Bow, Aries, Limit Bottle (reward for defeating fake chest "Pandor") Tribal Guard, Red Lavender, Ever Blue, Feather Coak.
Monster checklist: Deadwreath, Ail, Soya, Orge, Heavy Bottom, Axigle, Pandor (fake chest), two bosses. Also Giganto Monster: Pterobronc.
There's a huge crater right at the beginning of the area, and it's empty at first. If you backtrack after progressing about halfway through this dungeon, you may already find the Giganto Monster Pterobronc. It might be a good idea to simply leave it for later; it's not "too" powerful, but isn't an easy fight (as usual, after all).
Giganto Monster # 03/09 - Pterobronc
This giganto monster has 168,523 HP, he's at level 49, he's weak against Earth and strong against Wind, Water and Dark. He earns you 14,000 G and 12,000 Exp for defeating him.
Drops: Great Raptor Beak.
- Other than some cutscenes on the way, this is yet another area without anything special; reach the summit of the mountain, saving the game at the two save points as usual
- For the next boss fight, you are bound to deploy a certain character in your active party (this character is: Judith, who joins the party on the way)
Boss Fight # 16 - ??? and ???
The bosses have 57,890 HP and 71,258 HP; one is at level 38, the other at level 39. The one with less HP, a female, is weaker and should be taken out first, as she's able to heal herself and the other opponent.
Secret Mission # 12: you have to knock the enemies down after a certain attack of theirs. You need to knock one down first, and then the other one (you can kill the one you've already knocked down). The attacks look like this. After they use the specific attack you want them to use (it's Rending Slash for the female, and Rising Dragon: Ratatosk for the male), they will be "stuck" on the ground for a few instants: hit now. They can use these attacks at any level of their HP.
Rewards: Special Flag, Protect Ring, Resist Ring; also Death Scythe if the Secret Mission was accomplished.
This fight is against Nan and Tison.
If you succeed, you will unlock:
Continue playing to unlock this secret achievement. (Secret)
Some items have been added to your inventory: Dragon Tooth, Striped Ribbon, Feather Coat.
- After the fight you can get the last two chests of the area; then proceed to the cave where the story is obviously leading you to, so you can trigger some cutscenes and exit automatically
Fiertia
- Speak with everyone (Rita is downstairs, the others are upstairs), then return downstairs and interact with Judith for a scene
=============================
World Map
You will obtain Ba'ul's Horn (story-related item) and get the ability to fly over the World; thanks to the recently acquired "Horn", you can call your "airship" at any time on the World Map by pressing LS.
As you may expect, this makes a lot of secondary events available, and the time to take care of them will come just after another short story event. Not all the areas of the World Map are available yet though, so I still don't advise starting work on the Dog Map quest. On the contrary, I suggest spending some time uncovering the whole map to get this achievement:
The camera reveals what the World Map holds...
Note that it often happens that you are missing a very tiny portion of the map (so little that you can barely/can't notice it), and therefore it will look like you've uncovered everything but the achievement doesn't pop up. In that case, it's not glitched or something like that: it's simply bad luck, and there must be some space somewhere on the World Map which you still haven't uncovered. In these situations, leaving a rubber band on LS to fly automatically in a random (but fixed) direction may help you to work on this with no effort; after a while (from a minute to dozens of minutes, depending on your luck), the achievement should pop up as you'll have come across that little portion left uncovered. Flying randomly for a while will also help you working towards the achievement for travelling for 100,000 km (most of the players need to grind it manually even for some hours, by flying automatically on the World Map, even after completing all the rest of the possible tasks and achievements), although you don't want to go for that achievement on purpose right now, since you will travel a lot of those km along the way doing something else.
Anyway.
- Fly to the middle of the desert to find an outstanding crag; enter it while still flying
Phaeroh's Crag
- After the short cutscene as you enter, proceed forward for another longer cutscene
- You will be on the World Map
=============================
Sidequests
- Shaikos Ruins: Ruin's Gate # 01/02 - A cutscene will trigger automatically as you enter the area.
- Capua Nor: Manly Man # 01/02 - Make a few steps forward from the entrance, and a cutscene about the Monster Book will automatically trigger if you have collected data for more than 50% of the monsters of the game. If you don't have the requirements yet, come back here when you do.
- Capua Nor: if you want, you can also play the dice game again to win a Bottle Set (Life Bottle + Panacea Bottle + Holy Bottle + Dark Bottle + Syrup Bottle + Nectar Bottle).
- Capua Torim: Delivery of a Book (Guild Job # 01/07) # 02/03 - Enter the Inn and this cutscene will automatically trigger; you will receive Rainbow Bookmark.
- Capua Torim: Brionac # 06/16 - Enter the Fortune's Market HQ and speak with Kaufman for a cutscene.
- Capua Torim: Brionac # 07/16 - Speak with the woman in front of the tree on the side of the Fortune's Market HQ (the same place where you previously got a cutscene about Judith's "hobby") for another cutscene about your Krityan friend.
- Manor of the Wicked: enter this building again and return to the last room upstairs, the one from which you jumped off the window. You can now find some items: Quick Trigger (West), Life Bottle (North), Syrup Bottle + Nectar Bottle (Southeast).
- Mantaic: Delivery of a Book (Guild Job # 01/07) # 03/03 - Report your job to Yu Seron, found near the Shop where he committed the job, to receive 3,000 G.
- Mantaic: Kowz # 02/05 - Give him a Trident to get Rice + Potato + Onion + Carrot.
- Mantaic: enter the Inn and a cutscene will automatically trigger, asking you if you want to rest; do so for an extra cutscene at night.
- Mantaic: Dark Enforcer # 04/06 - Speak with a guy sitting by the lake for a very short cutscene. Then go to the Inn and rest for another cutscene at night (head towards the lake to watch the events).
- Dahngrest: Brionac # 08/16 - Enter the Fortune's Market Shop (the one on the East side, which is only a shop, not the one in the Inn) and speak with the shopkeeper for another cutscene on this subject.
- Dahngrest: sleep at the Inn to trigger a cutscene; you will obtain the Insomniac Title for Karol.
- Dahngrest: keep sleeping at the Inn to trigger more cutscenes at night, this time between Karol and Harry. On average, you should get a cutscene after every 3 "regular" times you sleep (there are random odds of triggering special cutscenes, and they're about 33%); at first it may seem not to be giving you any more cutscenes, but then a "special night" will occur. After the fourth "special night" you will obtain the Special Skill for Karol. If you keep sleeping and get no "special nights" where cutscenes with Harry occur, try leaving Dahngrest first, then enter again and try again to sleep a bunch of times.
- Dahngrest: Drake # 03/07 - Enter the "Sagittarius" tavern (on the way leading to the blastia core) for a cutscene. Exit the tavern afterward, and a cutscene will Drake will immediately trigger; you will receive Imperial Crest.
- Dahngrest: enter the "Sagittarius" tavern again, and a cutscene between Raven and some ladies will trigger. Exit the tavern and look for a girl in the main square (she should be dressed in white; a girl with a witch's hat also works), and then approach the Guild's HQ. A cutscene will trigger, and Raven will get his Ladies' Man Title. If the cutscene doesn't trigger, try to speak with more girls on the streets of Dahngrest for cutscenes about them and Raven, and then return towards the HQ.
- Dahngrest: Lost Pendant (Guild Job # 02/07) # 01/04 - In the "Sagittarius" tavern once again, speak with the barkeeper (behind the counter, on your right) to be offered another job and accept.
- Dahngrest: still in the "Sagittarius" tavern, this time speak with one of the waitresses behind the counter. They will try to commission you into helping them serve the customers in the tavern. This is a time consuming and stressful task which can be played by Estellise, Karol, Rita, Judith and Raven. Each of them will get a Title for completing the minigame; the difficulty is particularly hard for some of them (Raven, for instance), but there are no completely "easy" characters for this minigame. You need to complete it with everyone anyway if you want those Titles. There are no particular tricks, other than the very helpful *Pause* (press Start on your controller to do so) which allows you to write down the orders of the customers. Don't try to remember everything, because they will often change their mind and confuse you A LOT. Remember that you can only serve one customer at a time. Do your best, be patient, and expect to spend some hours finishing it with everyone. You will eventually get the Titles: Gracious Waitress for Estellise; Lunch Lady for Karol; Kitty Cat Waitress for Rita; Glamorous Maid for Judith; Gentleman for Raven. Some money rewards will also come along the way.
- Dahngrest: A Real Leader # 01/03 - Enter the Guild's HQ and a cutscene involving Raven will automatically trigger.
- Dahngrest: by now you should have enough titles among your characters to be accepted by the old man standing in the upper left corner of the HQ. Speak with him to receive Girly Bunny Ears and Bunny Guild Badge. You can return to this man as you collect more and more titles, and he will give you more and more attachments. We'll see what to do with them all later, in the post-game page, when you'll have the requirements. Feel free not to bother with coming back to him to check if he gives you something; it doesn't really matter until you can get all the attachments.
- Dahngrest: Lost Pendant (Guild Job # 02/07) # 02/04 - Enter the Inn and speak with a woman, Rhianna, standing on the left by the beds. After the cutscene, exit outside and go towards the Eastern exit of Dahngrest; here a scene about the river and the pendant will occur.
- Heliord: Lost Pendant (Guild Job # 02/07) # 03/04 - Reach the tent camp with the elevator-platform you used when you fought Yeager here a while ago (you may actually enter, from the World Map, from the Southeastern exit of the tent camp itself; some meters saved if you do, otherwise just used the platform to come down). Look for a woman near a tent, on the left side of the camp, and speak with her. She'll ask for a Bird Feather (Small). Speak with her again when you have it (you should already have it) to receive Everlight Necklace.
- Dahngrest: Lost Pendant (Guild Job # 02/07) # 03/04 - Report the situation to Rhianna, again in the Inn, to complete the quest.
- Ehmead Hill: Divine Cannon # 01/04 - Enter from the West side, and go in the woods part of the area; turn immediately right when you can, so you're in a larger circular area where there were some chests your first time here. A "botanic" cutscene will automatically trigger, and you will receive Fire Lily.
- Ehmead Hill: In Memoriam # 03/03 - Return to the cliff where you found a gravestone earlier in the game; another cutscene will trigger now.
- Ehmead Hill: Brionac # 09/16 (Negative Gate # 01/03) - Approach the blastia, still blocking the way, from the East side. It might be a good idea to enter Ehmead Hill directly from East to do this. Either way, a cutscene with Rita and Judith, as usual about a blastia, will trigger.
- Capua Torim: A Real Leader # 02/03 - Enter the Fortune's Market HQ and a cutscene will automatically trigger.
- Nordopolica: Ruin's Gate # 02/02 - Speak with a white-dressed man on the stairs leading to the Coliseum for another cutscene.
That's all for now.
=============================
Aspio
- After the cutscene as you enter, make Judith your on-screen character (you can do this with the Special Flag obtained as a drop from the last boss fight; open the main menu, scroll through your characters and press X on Judith to set her as field-leader) speak with Toth; he's a Krityan in the main "circle" where all the roads in this place start/take you to; you will receive Guide Bell to Myorzo
- Enter Rita's house for a cutscene; the other party members rejoin now (they had left a moment ago)
Sidequests:
- Aspio: Itemania # 01/02 - Enter the library and a cutscene will automatically trigger near the lower exit if you have 50% or more of the data in your Collector's Book. This cutscene will not trigger anymore after a certain point in the game; I'll remind you of this when it's going to become unobtainable, but please make sure you trigger this short cutscene (between Estellise and a random mage of Aspio, about the Collector's Book) as soon as you can; possibly now.
- Aspio: Brionac # 10/16 (Negative Gate # 02/03) - Look for a book somewhere near the Shop inside the library, and check it for a cutscene. You will get Hermes' Note. Later in the game, the "Note" will be available in Capua Torim instead, by speaking with a mage in the Inn.
- Capua Torim: Brionac # 11/16 (Negative Gate # 03/03) - Sleep at the Inn for Rita to learn the Negative Gate Arte.
World Map
Your next destination is the Egothor Forest. It's located in the Northwest part of the central-South continent; it's Southeast of Nordopolica, North of a strange symbol (a sort of jellyfish icon) which just appeared. In short, here. On the picture I've also marked Baction, a dungeon which you'll have to visit soon; leave it there for now, we'll handle it in due course.
- Fly to Egothor Forest
=============================
Egothor Forest
Map of the area
Note: Brucis is a Giganto Monster. The two orange X are marks for story-related destinations.
Save points: one available.
Item checklist: Panacea Bottle, Gaia Cleaver, Magic Lens x 5, Mythril Helm, Tent, Queen's Whip, Life Bottle, 3,000 G, Turquoise, 9,000 G (reward for beating fake chest "Fake"), Mythril Circlet, Mythril Boots, Sage, Overdrive Warrior, Lavender, Red Saffron, Melange Gel.
Monster checklist: Peepit, Clukkit, Filifolia Puff, Nuggethopper, Insect Plant, Knight Halberd A, Knight Bishop, Fake (fake chest).
The Giganto Monster of this area, Brucis, is probably the strongest of all for your current situation, and it's probably a better idea to leave him where he is rather than fighting.
Giganto Monster # 04/09 - Brucis
This giganto monster has 396,000 HP, he is at level 62 and is neutral to elemental affinities. He earns you 20,000 G and 15,000 Exp for defeating him.
Drops: Bull Wing.
- Head for the first hill (follow the way and ignore a long bridge leading East, proceeding uphill instead), where the first orange X is on the map, to trigger an event. On the way there will be an event fight against 2x Knight Halberd A and 2x Bishop; when you arrive at your destination, another event fight like this will occur
- At this point you can reach and explore the Eastern half of the forest; do so, save the game when you come across the save point, and head up the hill again to reach the second orange X; here two event fights made of the same group as the previous two will trigger
World Map
- Locate the jellyfish in the air, just South of Egothor Forest, and approach it to be able to enter Myorzo
=============================
Myorzo
Map of the area
Save points: one available.
Item checklist: Barrier, Treat, Specific.
Sidequests:
- Myorzo: Wonder Chef # 10/13 - Find him in the small hallway to the bottom-right corner of the village. He will teach you the Cream Stew recipe. He's disguised near a kid, who will be important for a "racing" quest later.
- Myorzo: Warehouse Master # 03/05 - Here's the usual solution for the puzzle. Please note that this warehouse is available now and later, but after a few of the events in Myorzo there will be a span of time when it won't be possible to complete it. If you miss it now, don't worry if you can't access it at first and just leave it for later. The chests in this warehouse will net you Hourglass x 2, All-Divide x 2, Flare Stone + Frost Stone + Air Stone + Geo Stone; for clearing it you will get 2,000 G.
WARNING
After some of the events here, a couple of characters will leave for a while. These characters are Estellise and Raven.
- Enter the Elder's Residence for a cutscene; the first character leaves here
- Enter the Inn; the second character leaves here
- Return to the entrance for a cutscene
- Speak with the Elder in his house (speak with the Krityans here and there if you want, but it's not necessary)
- Return to the entrance again for another cutscene; you will get Guardian of the Truth Title and Dragoon Boots ("Dragon Boots" in some versions of the game), both for Judith, and end up outside
Sidequests:
- Myorzo: return to the town and sleep at the Inn for a cutscene at night
=============================
World Map
You may already notice that the position of Myorzo won't be the same, but the town will literally fly around the World on a sort of orbit. It's not hard to spot it anyway, just locate the jellyfish icon on the World Map and head there.
- Head for Yormgen
Yormgen
- Follow the events (after a cutscene as you enter, speak with a familiar character for more lines)
You may examine the area around you, but you wouldn't find anything. In the main ruined building you may find a message, on the right wall, which has been partially erased by the ageing of the building itself. If you remember, a while ago I suggested taking a look at a message in the Inn of Yormgen: if you did, you will recognize that it's the same message from earlier (just too ruined to be clearly read, this time). It doesn't have any implication other than its reference for old players of the "Tales of" saga, but just in case you happened to find this message now and didn't know what it could hide, well, it doesn't hide any particular secret.
World Map
Next stop: Baction. I had marked its position some lines ago, when locating Egothor Forest; Baction is East, and slightly South, of Egothor Forest itself, at the center and North side of the central-South continent.
- Approach Baction; a cutscene will automatically trigger, and you'll be in the dungeon automatically
=============================
Baction
Map of the area
Note: the room with a black X on it is a room where the floor has been damaged. The "Statue" is nothing special, but you can get a cutscene for examining it.
Save points: three available.
Item checklist: Pineapple Gel, Life Bottle, Dark Bottle, Lemon Gel, Twinkle Star, Panacea Bottle, Holy Bottle, Lemon Gel, Limit Bottle, 8,000 G, Wind Cape, Magic Lens x 5, Lottery Gel, Kylin, Simple Tent, Limit Bottle, Mermaid Cloak, Mythril Plate, Melange Gel, Masakari Cleaver, Magic Lantern, Heal Bracelet, 6,000 G, Lemon Gel, Panacae Bottle.
Monster checklist: Knight Fencer S, Knight Warrior, Knight Lancer S, Knight Bishop, Knight Halberd A, Rabbio, Bunwigle, Uniceros, Drillbeak, one boss.
In addition to the missable monsters, there's also a missable item here. You must fall through the holes in the ground of the room marked with a black X on the map (it's the only room with these holes, and one of the last rooms as you proceed); a cutscene will trigger on your third failed attempt to cross the room, and you will obtain the Magic Lantern. It's key to do it now, because later the cutscene won't trigger anymore.
As you proceed you will find some lamps; you can turn them on by shooting them with the Sorcerer's Ring, but they really do nothing and you probably should just ignore them. There are also some cracked walls which can't be completely broken yet; they're marked with the usual red lines on the map.
Another helpful thing about Baction is that you will get your own in-game map as you proceed inside the dungeon; this should help you keeping track of your position more easily.
- Other than this basic information, expect an event fight against 2x Knight Halberd A and 2x Knight Bishop when you reach the room with the chest "O" (Simple Tent); you will receive a "special" story-related weapon after some cutscenes. The weapon is: Dein Nomos)
- Continue all the way to the end, making sure that you save at every save point you come across and you fall down three times to get the Magic Lantern; you will eventually reach the end of this place, triggering a boss fight
Boss Fight # 17 - ???
This boss has 148,000 HP. He is at level 43 and is particularly strong against your physical attacks; this boss can also attack with a mystic Arte (only when in Over Limit), which deals a lot of damage.
Secret Mission # 13: after using his Mystic Arte, this boss will stop for a few moments, panting. You must hit him when he's panting, like this, possibly with your strongest and quickest attack (Destruction Field would be perfect, but Azure Storm also works). It's not a hard task, just try to keep your characters healthy (to survive the Mystic Arte at all) and close to the boss when he goes Over Limit, so you're ready to strike before he can recover.
This fight is against Schwann.
Rewards: Force Ring; also Imperial Prestige if the Secret Mission was accomplished.
If you succeed, you will unlock:
Continue playing to unlock this secret achievement. (Secret)
=============================
World Map
You're automatically here when the cutscenes post-fight end. You will enter - and be forced to complete - the next dungeon automatically when you approach your destination, so it's a good idea to save somewhere "safe" (for instance, the continent where Egothor Forest and Baction are) before flying around. There isn't much else to do right now anyway, so you should just head for the next area: it's located a bit West of Zaphias, in the ocean. There'll also be a shop to resupply in the next dungeon.
A note about the "special" weapon you obtained in Baction earlier: if you somehow don't happen to do this naturally, make sure you learn the "Special" Skill for Yuri (it's one of the Skills attached to that weapon).
Heracles
Map of the area (lower zoom here)
Note: see text description or follow the alphabetical order of the chests. The orange X is a mark for the story-related destination you will reach after defeating the boss in another room.
Save points: two available.
Item checklist: Naginata, Life Bottle, Limit Bottle, Sorcerer's Ring Lv. 3 (story-related), Holy Bottle, Reflex, Melange Gel, Wonder Symbol, Pineapple Gel, Lemon Gel, Dark Bottle, Specific, Rose Whip, Panacea Bottle, Treat, Guardian Stamp, Magic Lens x 5, Tent, Vagabond, 10,000 G (reward for beating fake chest "Capiora"), Pineapple Gel, Lemon Gel.
Monster checklist: Knight Halberd A, Knight Bishop, Murder, Blade Murder, Eon Raptor, Capiora (fake chest), one boss.
This place looks rather complicated on a map, but it's not so difficult to navigate. There are just a couple of "particular" things to point out.
First: there's a ladder which will be available only after you "unlock" it from the upper level; it's the only green ladder painted on the map. Just keep in mind that it must be unlocked from the top first, so you have to take the longer path to reach that area (the one with the green ladder) and not the door just North of the green-colored-switch "S1".
Second: the most complicated area works like this. The red lines are barriers which you will deactivate as you destroy some control panels. The control panels will mainly be destroyed by dropping boxes on them (except one, the "pink number # 2", which has to be destroyed by shooting it with the Sorcerer's Ring). You want to drop the boxes from the positions marked with the pink numbers. Those red squares are two of the boxes you will push down to destroy the control panels; the other two boxes must be shot (with the Sorcerer's Ring) while they're coming, moving, hung from a conveyor belt; doing so will make them drop, and if done correctly, they will drop on the control panels, destroying them.
When you enter the area, these items will be added to your inventory: Elven Bow, Mythril Guard, Mythril Helm.
If you can't do it with the map alone and the quick instructions added to it, follow these steps:
- From the first area outside, follow the way to the inside; a character will have joined the party when you started, and have obtained a Title. The character and Title are respectively: Raven and "Immortal Old Man"
- After a few steps in the first "inside" area, you will obtain the Sorcerer's Ring Lv. 3; with it, you can shoot and open many doors on the ship. Anyway, look for a switch on the left side (S1) and activate it to make the boxes move in this and especially in another area
- Enter the second door from the West side to be in another "inside" room
- A short cutscene will trigger here; there's a save point, and the door East at the bottom of the stairs is currently locked; stay upstairs (unless you want to get the chests first) and exit East
- You're outside again; follow the way upstairs to return inside
- In this area, climb up a ladder and push the first box all the way left to the next area; follow the box to the next area
- You're now in the room with all the pink numbers & co. ; start by pushing the previous box again to the left, until it falls down on a control panel (pink # 1 - done)
- Go downstairs and look for another control panel behind a guard; destroy it with a shot of the Sorcerer's Ring (pink # 2 - done)
- Look for a ladder leading downward, and climb down it
- At the bottom, you can unlock the "green" ladder (in-game it's not green, I'm speaking of the colors used on the map) to create a shortcut with previous areas
- From the bottom of the previous ladder, ignoring the "green" ladder, go left and ignore the first ladder going down; climb up the first ladder leading up instead, and position yourself where "pink 3" is. Wait for a box to pass in front of you, time your shot, and shoot it down; if done correctly, it will fall on another control panel (pink # 3 - done)
- Climb back down the last ladder, go left and climb down the next ladder; if you had activated S1 earlier, now you should have more boxes moving in front of you. Position yourself on "pink 4" and shoot to destroy another control panel (pink # 4 - done)
- Return up a couple of ladders, at the height where you entered the room, and go on the bridge leading West to find a control panel (behind a "bishop" enemy); you can now access it since you've removed the first four barriers by destroying the first four control panels. Anyway, operate the control panel before the "bishop", which is S2
- Return down a couple of ladders to where you shot "pink 4" earlier, and take another ladder farther down this time
- Here you will find another switch, just a bit South of the ladders you just climbed down; it's usable if you operated S2. Before operating it though, push the box nearby (bottom-left corner of the screen) as far to the left and bottom as possible
- Then operate S3 and lift up the platform (with the box on it) to the upper level; follow the platform by climbing up some ladders, and you should have a situation like this. Give it a little push to destroy the last terminal (pink # 5 - done)
- You can now completely cross the bridge to the West, save the game, put Karol in the party if you want to get the Secret Mission, and enter the next room for a boss fight
Boss Fight # 18 - ???
This boss has 175,000 HP. He is at level 44.
Secret Mission # 14: after damaging the enemy enough (about to 50% of his max HP), a cutscene will interrupt the fight and the opponent will cast Poison on himself. You want to heal his condition by using Nice Recovery Smash, an Arte of Karol's. You can do it by controlling him directly on Manual settings, or you can do it by controlling another character and setting the usual shortcut to Karol's Arte with the RS of your controller. In this case, Karol will use Nice Recovery Smash on the character you're controlling - just position who you're controlling near the opponent, and you'll succeed. Here's the usual video.
This fight is against Zagi (IV).
Rewards: Dark Seal; also Poison Charm if the Secret Mission was accomplished.
If you succeed, you will unlock:
Continue playing to unlock this secret achievement. (Secret)
- After enjoying a "special kick", to complete the dungeon you will need to return to the room with the first save point first of all
- From that room, go East of the save point (bottom of the staircases) and enter the newly-unlocked room
- Here (in addition to shooting some debris to reveal a chest and a fake chest; fight against and scan the latter with your Magic Lens, by the way) you will take an elevator upward
- Then reach the final point of the area (the orange X) for more scenes
- At the end of the cutscenes, the door (of this last area) Southeast will be unlocked: use it to exit
=============================
Capua Nor
- You're automatically here, in the room Northwest of the Inn: exit outside the Inn for a scene
- Return to the Inn and speak with any of your party members in the same room
- Exit to the World Map
World Map
- You want to take a path which is about Northeast of Ehmead Hills (Yuri is facing this narrow path in this picture; do so and you will eventually reach a snowy and then icy area, which leads you to the next destination: Zopheir
=============================
Zopheir
Map of the area
Note: orange lines on the path are ice blocks preventing you to pass. Head for the orange Xs to trigger cutscenes which will clear the way of those very blocks.
Save points: one available
Item checklist: Tabar, Panacea Bottle, Melange Gel, Lemon Gel, Pineapple Gel, Limit Bottle, Hades, Cure Bottle, Falcon Needle, Life Bottle, Diamond Guard, Tent, Bravior (story-related), Body Paint, Bloody Coat, Limit Bottle, Magic Lens x 5, Lottery Gel, Psychedelica, Seal Bottle, Pineapple Gel.
Monster checklist: Limewreath, Rabbigo, Boost Merfish, Lupice, Teethee, Bugle Beak, Ice Bat, two bosses (same enemy, two forms).
Please note that the Save Point of this area, now, is here. When we come back here, it won't be there anymore.
- The area is rather simple; it's a bit particular because you need to head to some dead ends to trigger a cutscene which clears the main path (three times), but it's the only thing which doesn't make it a linear dungeon
- Save when you come across the save point on the way, heal up your Karol (and the rest of the group, but keep in mind that he's a mandatory character for the next fight) and proceed to tackle the bosses
Boss Fight # 19 - Baitojoh and Baitojoh
Baitojoh has 204,640 HP. He's at level 48. These values are referred to both the homonymous enemies. The fight is divided into two parts: at first, you're in a solo fight with Karol and the "first" Baitojoh: use a Magic Lens on him first of all, and then run away for a whole minute. A cutscene will trigger at this point; you will automatically get and equip the weapon "Bravior" on Karol and the rest of the group will join (you must still deploy Karol): use another Magic Lens on this second monster (who is just the same as the previous, but counts as a different enemy) and then go to full assault, possibly while attempting the secret mission.
Secret Mission # 15: against the "second" Baitojoh, wait until he goes under the ice and swims in the water below, exposing his fin. Hit it three times in total to accomplish the Secret Mission and drag him out of the water. Azure Storm is a good attack, since it's fast, decently ranged, and has two hits. You shouldn't need to watch it, but here is the traditional demonstration.
Rewards: Paralysis Charm; also Body Paint if the Secret Mission was accomplished.
If you succeed, you will unlock:
Continue playing to unlock this secret achievement. (Secret)
In case you wonder, the first Baitojoh can't be defeated. Similarly to the "special guest" you fought in the Coliseum of Nordopolica a while ago, even if you deal devastating damage which would finish him off, at that point the first part of the fight would automatically get interrupted (like it does after the whole minute) and you wouldn't be able to finish him off. The second part would regularly start instead.
- Karol gets his Brave One Title after the fight, and then he will be un-deployable for a short while; exit Zopheir to the East, after the cutscene which triggers just before the exit itself
=============================
World Map
- Reach Halure (by the time you're out of Zopheir, Karol can be deployed again)
Halure
- Speak with the innkeeper
- Exit and head for the exit of Halure
- Enter the Inn again and enter the second room from the left (upstairs)
- Exit and head for the exit of Halure again
World Map
- Reach Quoi Woods (Southwest of Halure)
Quoi Woods
- Backtrack to the save point, where a cutscene will trigger; Repede will get his Considerate Sidekick Title
=============================
World Map
Monster checklist: Wolf (Aersick), Axe Beak (Aersick), Egg Bear (Aersick), Giant Bee (Aersick), Mandragora (Aersick).
This exceptional situation requires a "monster checklist" on the World Map too. As a matter of fact, the enemies listed above are all missable monsters, and you want to fight them all around Zaphias before entering the city (where you will find them again, actually, but it's better if you already use a Magic Lens on them all outside).
Sidequests:
- Deidon Hold: Duke # 06/07 - Find him again on the city walls, where he was the first time.
You may also exit Deidon Hold to the North and find Brutal, another Giganto Monster (he's on the World Map and doesn't have a fixed spawn like the other Giganto Monsters found in the dungeons), but it's better to leave him there for now.
- Reach Zaphias
=============================
Zaphias (Aersick) and Zaphias Castle (Aersick)
Map of the area (Zaphias Castle)
Save points: three available (two are new).
Item checklist: Lapis Lazuli, Spirit Bangle, Elder Cloak, Mystic Mark, Limit Bottle, Breaker Bow, Vagabond +1, 15,000 G, Transform Bow +1[alpha] + Moon Guard.
Monster checklist: Wolf (Aersick), Axe Beak (Aersick), Egg Bear (Aersick), Giant Bee (Aersick), Mandragora (Aersick). High Knight Bishop, Knight Lancer A, Knight Fencer A, Guilty Murder, Trans Murder, two bosses.
- Zaphias (Aersick) is very straightforward, just continue until you enter the castle, standing on the only possible path
- Inside the castle, head for the Dining Hall (from the entrance, go East, North and then first room East) for a cutscene
In the Dining Hall there's even an "emergency" shop if you want.
- Exit the Dining Hall and enter the Southwestern door of the hallway to be in the "garden"; from here, go North a couple of areas (save in the first one) and examine the door, which is currently locked; after examining it, you can proceed to unlock it
You have to shoot some statues with the Sorcerer's Ring, and you have to do it in the correct order. Simply follow the orange numbers on the map. Written in text, the order is:
- From the room with the first new save point, go upstairs on the right and follow the hallway to enter a room with the first statue
- Return to the "garden", then go West, then South (you're in the room with the ladder leading to the Sewers), then Southwest; here's the second statue
- Return to the room with the first new save point, go upstairs on the left and follow the hallway to enter a room with the third statue
- Back to the "garden" again, go East, then South, then Southeast, then North; here's the fourth and last statue
- After completing the puzzle, you will hear a sound of success; you may proceed past the Audience Chamber now
- Save the game on the second new save point, since it will be unavailable just after these few events; then proceed onward (it might be a good idea to equip the Special Skill on Yuri)
Boss Fight # 20 - ??? and ???
The first boss has 47,600 HP. He's at level 48. You will have to fight this boss with everyone first; use a Magic Lens as soon as the fight starts. Once he goes down, the second fight will start, with Yuri alone against the opponent: scan this enemy with another Magic Lens, clear the Secret Mission, then finish the opponent off, maybe helping yourself with a Mystic Arte.
Secret Mission # 16: during the second fight, when fighting only as Yuri, use the item Mother's Memento. It's all you have to do (video here, but it's actually useless), provided you have this item from one of the quests completed earlier.
This fight is against Estellise and Estellise.
Rewards: Second Star, Strange Mirror; also Reflect Ring if the Secret Mission was accomplished.
If you succeed, you will unlock:
Continue playing to unlock this secret achievement. (Secret)
The Second Star is another weapon for Yuri with the Special Skill attached to it.
- After the following cutscenes, speak with everyone here and there in the castle (Judith is in the garden, Repede and Karol in the Dining Hall, Rita and Estellise are in the room where the fourth statue was, Raven is in "his" cell in the Dungeon), then speak with a man on the left side of the room which is East of the entrance (marked with the orange X) to rest and proceed
- Outside the castle, head for the exit East in the Public Quarter
- Exit to the World Map
=============================
World Map
For record's sake, I'm going to write what happened when you left Zaphias (don't read if you haven't left the city yet): the party has joined back once and for all, and Estellise has got her Determined Princess Title. Ba'ul is also available again.
Meanwhile, these items have been added to your inventory: Iron Maiden, Iron Plate, Circlet, Princess Guard.
There's another bunch of sidequests to tackle before proceeding. Not too many, actually, but one is VERY important to be able to access the post-game dungeon "Labyrinth of Memories", and it must be done now.
Sidequests:
- Capua Nor: Duke # 07/07 - Find him on the bridge which leads to Ragou's Mansion (about where Sicily was here too), staring at the ocean. This is the last cutscene with this mysterious character.
- Capua Torim: Sicily # 03/06 - Go to the Southeast part of the city (the docks) to find him. He will give you the Salvage Crane (it allows you to sail on parts of the ocean where you previously couldn't) and unlock research points in the water. The Salvage Crane sounds pretty useless at this point, but some of the research points in the ocean are reachable only thanks to this feature too. Research points in the ocean imply some easy-to-see seagulls on the water, and also some small shells (one shell = one research point) which are barely noticeable. We'll see more about interesting research points later.
- Heliord: speak with Pauly on the right of the main blastia. After the cutscene, head for the Eastern exit of the town; there will be an extremely easy fight against 2x Black Basilisk and 1x Tortoise, and then you'll receive your rewards: Repede will learn his Special Skill and get his Nanny Title.
- Mantaic: Kowz # 03/05 - Give him Poison Ward, Paralyze Ward, Stone Ward; get Flare Cape x 3 in return.
- Nordopolica: Warehouse Master # 04/05 - Here's the solution; the rewards are: Specific x 3, Treat x 3, Paralysis Ward; and then you get the usual 2,000 G.
- Mt. Temza: Divine Cannon # 02/04 - As soon as you enter, a cutscene will trigger and you will get Compact of Remembrance (you lose the Fire Lily, for what matters).
- Myorzo: Fell Arms # 01/07 - Enter the Elder's Residence to trigger a cutscene and get Abyssion.
The Fell Arms are special weapons which won't look that powerful at first. They have decent stats, but definitely nothing which can justify the "legends" about them. Their true power will be unlocked when you collect all the seven fell arms and then defeat the final boss; this will make some things happen, and for reasons you will see on your own, the weapons will transform into their "true" form, changing name and power. The new power of those weapons, at that point, will be just 0, but the Physical and Magical Attack parameters will both increase by 1 unit for each monster you defeat with that character. Say Yuri has finished off 1,000 enemies, his transformed Fell Arm will have 1,000 points in Physical and Magical Attack; if Yuri has finished off 1,000 enemies but Repede has finished off 500 enemies, Repede's Fell Arm will only have 500 points in Physical and Magical Attack. In short, to each character, his own powered-up weapon, depends on how many deaths that single character has caused. The potential of these weapons is basically infinite; you may go past the value of 9,999 of Physical/Magical Attack, and the power would still increase, kill after kill, to 5-digit numbers. The kills collected before unlocking their power will be taken into account.
- Phaeroh's Crag: enter the area for a cutscene. Proceed forward then, and another cutscene will trigger, speaking of the "phantom rift". You will automatically enter through this dimensional portal, and up where you probably wouldn't expect to be. In this "special" location (which you can visit at any time now, by using this dimensional portal), go all the way North and speak with the Elder in his residence. Speak with him again and agree to stay for the night. After some more cutscenes, you can leave the area: what you just did will be enough to access the Labyrinth of Memories later.
After dealing with these few but important events, proceed to the middle of the ocean/World Map; a cutscene will trigger as you fly over the next area, and you will automatically be sailing on the Fiertia afterward; when you feel ready, while sailing, enter Zaude.
- Enter Zaude in the middle of the World Map, in the ocean, from the Fiertia
=============================
Zaude
Map of the area (lower zoom here)
Note: the red and blue arrows indicate how the room transforms if you shoot a red orb or a blue orb of that specific room. Blue orbs fill the room with water, red orbs will do the opposite; on the map, they are the blue and red circles respectively. The light-blue lines are the directions you may take, while swimming, to move around the areas not reached by the water. The red X is where you will put the Red Orb, and then shoot it to open the way. The pink line is a barrier you can break by activating (shooting) the orb on the opposite side.
Save points: three available.
Item checklist: Barrier, Panacea Bottle, 15,000 G, 20,000 G, Moon Cloak, Zaude Orb (story-related item), Life Bottle, Special Gel, Limit Bottle, Splash Dress, Pineapple Gel, Lemon Gel, Dunamis, Rare Plate, Rare Protector, Rod, Mjolnir, Shiden, Melange Gel, World Charm, Lemon Gel, Red Orb (story-related item), Asura, Death Contrast.
Monster checklist: Knight Warrior A, Knight Fencer A, Knight Lancer A, High Bishop Knight, Perfect Murder, Jons, Watergunner, Gigafish, Lizardman, Cuivre, Argent, three bosses (two different bosses; the first one has two forms). Also Giganto Monster: Poseidon.
The pernickety part of Zaude is that there are three rooms which can be filled with water by shooting some blue orbs, while shooting the red orbs of the same room will reverse the situation back to normality. As you may expect, the rooms have parts which are only available when the water is filling them, and parts which are only available when the water is not present. There will be some tricky movements to do, but it's not as complicated as it may look at first.
The Giganto Monster here is another strong one; not too much stronger than you, but it's probably a better idea to leave him where he is now (also because he may not give you his precious drop, and you probably want to reload and try again in that case; doing so now when you would struggle a lot to win at all isn't a good idea of course).
Giganto Monster # 05/09 - Poseidon
This Giganto Monster has 213,000 HP, he is at level 55, and has a very high Defense (both against Physical and against Magical Attacks). He's weak against Light and Dark, and strong against the other elements. He earns you 15,000 G and 12,000 Exp for defeating him.
Drops: Rare Metal.
- From where you enter, go right to find a save point (save), then examine a vent to access the inside of Zaude
- In Room 1 - No water, get the goodies in the second half of the room itself, especially the Zaude Orb; place it in the middle of Room 1, where you can see a blue orb "container"
- After placing the Zaude (Blue) Orb in its container, shoot the orb with the usual Sorcerer's Ring to fill the room
- In Room 1 - With water you can swim to the North to get some chests, or just proceed West, upstairs, to continue
- Proceed North of another area, save the game at the second save point, place Raven in the party if you want to attempt the Secret Mission (and make sure he doesn't have the Crucible Skill turned on), then enter the next room for a boss fight
Boss Fight # 21 - ??? and ???
This boss has 230,000 HP. He's at level 50, and hits hard. He has a Mystic Arte to use while in Over Limit. When damaged to less than 50% of his HP, he has a transformation: you must use a Magic Lens before this happens, and another Magic Lens afterwards, because they are two different monsters.
Secret Mission # 17: this mission is quite hard to pull off. It will become possible after damaging the opponent a bit (the usual 50% of health will do it), so an event occurs and the requirements are there. Once that happens, you want to try something like this. What you want to do is: hit the enemy with a strong attack repeatedly (Destruction Field while in Over Limit is by far the best choice); "eventually" you will break his guard, and you will notice that he's really feeling the hit (he moves from the pain, and similar signals). At this point you want to stop attacking him, and instead run away from him; he will chase after you for just a few meters, then he will be fatigued and won't be able to continue the chase for a few seconds. At this point, while he's fatigued, you want to use the "Rain" Arte of Raven's, and hit him; you're technically supposed to hit his heart, but as you can see from the video, hitting him at all, even hitting his back, should be enough (unfortunately sometimes it doesn't work, but it does most of the time and it's not like you can really aim for his heart anyway). The hardest part of all this lies in that "eventually" I've written, because there's not a fixed, absolutely sure moment when he will really feel the hit. So here you have two choices: either rely on your reflexes, and be ready to stop tapping "A" (which you were tapping to spam Destruction Fields without letting him recover) when you see he has felt the hit; or, and that's what I suggest, rely on the statistic. Statistics witness that after 4x Destruction Fields in a row (from the beginning of your combo or from the last time he's felt the pain, like in the video), the opponent is very likely to "feel the hit". So, in short, my suggestion is to try your luck and use Destruction Fields continuously until you see that he's felt the hit; from that moment, count 4x Destruction Fields in a row and stop, hoping to open his guard with your last hit; if that happens, run away from him, switch characters so you control Raven, use the Rain Arte, and you should get it. Another thing which I haven't done in the video, but is a good idea to do, is to let the opponent use his Over Limit/Mystic Arte before attempting this procedure: by the time his health is down to less than 50%, he is most certainly ready for Over Limit; should he use his Mystic Arte while you're trying this process (and maybe you're even succeeding), well, that would be annoying.
This fight is against Yeager (II) and Yeager (II) .
Rewards: Splash Bow; also Alexandrite if the Secret Mission was accomplished.
If you succeed, you will unlock:
Continue playing to unlock this secret achievement. (Secret)
- Backtrack a bit to save and recover your health, then proceed to the room with Poseidon; here go right
- In Room 2 - No water you want to push a pedestal off the edge where it's standing (push it South), and then place it on the left of another pedestal, so its final position is here
- Now shoot the blue orb of the room to fill it with water
- In Room 2 - With water you want to shoot the next red orb (there are two; you want to shoot the one South; the one North is just a backup plan in case you didn't place the pedestal correctly and need to "reset" the room) from this position, that is to say on the cracked floor on the left side
- If done correctly, you will land on a small upper portion of the West side of Room 2 - No water, which has a door on the left, taking you through several rooms West until you reach the next main room
- In Room 3 - No water, head downstairs and move a couple of pedestals; the Northeastern one should be pulled just a couple of inches South, to create a shortcut with the "Poseidon room"; then there's a pedestal with a red orb on it, another pedestal to the left, and even another pedestal to the right. This last one doesn't matter, while you want to move the other two so they are like this, and then you want to shoot the blue orb in the pedestal from the position shown in the same picture
- In Room 3 - With water you should now be able to access the part with two chests, one of which has the Red Orb, and shoot a random orb to break the barrier (pink in color, in the map) and proceed. There's no point in swimming: the water would let you reach the red orb opposite the "pink" barrier, but the water is just another backup plan
- After doing so, shoot the red orb (the very same opposite the "pink" barrier, by now destroyed) to reset the situation in this room
- From Room 3 - No water, while on the upper floor, return to the exit Southeast and go East a couple of areas to reach the spot marked with the red X on the map (it's a bridge above the "Poseidon room"): place the Red Orb in its settlement, shoot it, and this will open the way in the "Poseidon room"
- Make your way back (through Room 3 - No water, downstairs, and then exit East), then proceed North a couple of areas from the "Poseidon room", save the game again and prepare for another boss fight
Boss Fight # 22 - ???
This boss has 305,550 HP. He is at level 54. He can use Mystic Artes while in Over Limit.
Secret Mission # 18: this mission is simple, as long as you can survive the hits of the opponent. In this video I'm making my life a bit easier by using a spell you would normally not have at this point of the game (Force Field), but it doesn't make any difference to what you have to do. After the enemy uses his Mystic Arte, he will be fatigued; strike him when this condition occurs to knock him down, and you will fulfil your task. It's very similar to the Secret Mission of the boss in Baction, just harder because this enemy here hits even more. So anyway, after enhancing your defense somehow, stay close to him when he goes Over Limit, and wait for his Mystic Arte; after it's pulled off, strike to knock him down. It's worth saying that his recovery time after the Mystic Arte will increase after each use of his Mystic Arte; that is to say, the first time he does so you will have a small opening; the second time you will have a longer opening; the third time you should probably have enough time as to easily accomplish your task (if you couldn't do this earlier).
This fight is against Alexei.
Rewards: Spring of Wisdom; also Faerie Ring if the Secret Mission was accomplished.
If you succeed, you will unlock:
Continue playing to unlock this secret achievement. (Secret)
Regardless of the secret mission, this fight ends the second part of the game, changing the battle theme again and earning you the second story-related achievement:
