These achievements can be unlocked at anytime throughout your game play in campaign and FTE missions.

Customize a weapon from the class setup menu. You need to change or add mods to one of your weapons. This will most likely be the very first achievement you earn.

Just find a dead enemy that was carrying an AK, search his body or next to him, and pick it up.

Rule #1 - Don't get shot. Complete an entire mission without being wounded in any way. Can be easily done when earning the Defender achievement the cheap and easy way. If you do not get shot before you extract, it will unlock when you didn't really do anything during the mission.

Rule #2 - Short controlled bursts. Kill 5 enemies with a weapon that shoots a 3-round burst without missing any shots in between the kills. The burst weapons required for this achievement are the MP5 and M-16.

Rule #5 - Patch your wounds. You have to be wounded and heal yourself. You will hold 'A' down for the first cycle to stop the bleeding. After that you will hold 'A' down for another cycle which will heal any damage you took.

Rule #6 - Keep a full mag. You need to reload your gun 20 times. It will be cumulative through all your game play and does not have to be in one mission.

Soldier Progression

You gain experience by completing missions in campaign and fire team engagements. Depending on how well you perform and how fast you complete a mission will determine how much XP you earn. You start out at level 1 and work your way up to level 20. As you level up, you will unlock new weapon mods, weapons, equipment, B-mods, and Special Mods. There is no advantage to playing on higher difficulties in terms of XP earned. Listed below is the experience one must earn from each level to rank up. Also listed are the weapon mods, equipment, B and S mods that are unlocked at each level.

Level 1 - 0 xp

Level 2 - 4,000 xp
Rifleman – M4A1 Assault Rifle (Weapon)
Grenadier – MEU Pistol (Weapon)
Scout- M16A4 (Weapon)
Auto Rifleman - M16A4 (Weapon)

Level 3 – 4,400 xp
Rifleman - Support Training (B-Mod). Enhances weapon stability and suppression. Improves ability to heal fireteam members.
Grenadier – CQB Insertion (B-Mod). Enhances accuracy when firing from a stationary position and aimed response times.
Scout- Recon Spotter Training (B-Mod). Enhances target tracking with scopes. Improves vision range and target acquisition.
Auto Rifleman – Support Gunner Training (B-Mod). Enhances accuracy when firing from a stationary position. Greatly improves weapon stability and suppression.

Level 4 – 5,040 xp
Rifleman - Holographic Sight (Mod).
Grenadier – MP5 Sight (Mod).
Scout - M4A1 Assault Rifle (Weapon).
Auto Rifleman – LMG Maintenance (S-Mod). Greatly reduced chance of weapon jam. Increased tracer rate aids enemy suppression.

Level 5 - 5,680 xp
Rifleman – M67 Frag Grenade (Equipment).
Grenadier – M14 AP Mines (Equipment).
Scout- M67 Frag Grenade (Equipment).
Auto Rifleman - Red Dot Sight (Mod).

Level 6 – 6,400 xp

Grenadier – Urban Terrain Warfare Training (B-Mod). Improves hipfire accuracy and handling when mobile, perfect for rapid assaults. Improves resilience.
Scout- Recon Infiltration Training (B-Mod). Improves accuracy and handling when mobile. Reduces the chance enemies will hear the scout.
Auto Rifleman – Assault Gunner Training (B-Mod). Improves hipfire accuracy handling when mobile, perfect for rapid assaults. Enhances suppression.

Level 8 - 8,200 xp
Rifleman – M4/M16 Marksman Scope (Mod).
Grenadier – CQB Reloads (S-Mod). Improves reload times.
Scout- M14 DMR Sight (Mod)
Auto Rifleman – Light Assault Gear (S-Mod). Enhances armor and increases resilience so the Auto Rifleman can stay in the fight longer.

Level 9 – 9,400 xp
Rifleman – M18 Smoke (Equipment).
Grenadier – C4 Charges (Equipment).
Scout- Fitness (S-Mod). Increases sprint speed and recovery.
Auto Rifleman – M18 Smoke Grenade (Equipment).

Level 10 - 10,800 xp
Rifleman - Light Assault Gear (S-Mod). Enhances armor and increases resilience so the rifleman can stay in the fight longer.
Grenadier - M16A1 Assault Rifle (Weapon).
Scout- Grenade M67 Frag Grenade (Equipment).
Auto Rifleman - MK48 Mod0 (Weapon).

Level 11 - 12,400xp
Rifleman - T4 (B-Mod).
Grenadier - Advanced Demolitions Training (B-Mod). Improve handling when mobile, grenade damage and range. Decreases mine deployment time.
Scout- Sharpshooter Training (B-Mod). Enhances accuracy when firing from a stationary position.
Auto Rifleman - Advanced Gunner Training (B-Mod). Generally enhances all aspects of weapon training. Improves suppression.

Level 12– 14,200 xp
Rifleman - M4A1/M16 Sniper Scope (Mod)
Grenadier – Grenades Ammo Pack (S-Mod). Provides additional equipment, but reduces endurance recovery due to the additional load.
Scout- M39 EMR (Weapon).
Auto Rifleman - LMG Reloads (S-Mod). Improves reload times.

Level 13 – 16,400 xp
Rifleman - Combat Vet (B-Mod). 20% experience gain.
Grenadier - Combat Vet (B-Mod). 20% experience gain.
Scout- Combat Vet (B-Mod). 20% experience gain.
Auto Rifleman - Combat Vet (B-Mod). +20% experience gain.

Level 14 - 19,200 xp
Rifleman – M18 Claymore (Equipment)
Grenadier - Pistol Suppressor (Mod).
Scout -Thermal Scope (Mod).
Auto Rifleman – LMG Marksman Scope (Mod).

Level 15 – 22,000 xp
Rifleman - Rapid Recovery (S-Mod). Improves Rifleman's ability to heal himself.
Grenadier - Fitness (S-Mod). Increases sprint speed and endurance recovery.
Scout- Rapid Recovery (S-Mod). Improves Scout's ability to heal himself.
Auto Rifleman - M18 Claymore (Equipment).

Level 16 – 25,400 xp
Rifleman - Assault Rifle AP Rounds (S-Mod). Replaces standard 5.56mm ball rounds with an armor piercing variant.
Grenadier - M18 Smoke (Equipment).
Scout- Marksman Rifle Reloads (S-Mod). Improves reload times.
Auto Rifleman – Mines and Grenade Pack (S-Mod). Provides additional equipment, but reduces endurance recovery due to the additional load.

Level 17 - 28,800 xp
Rifleman - Assault Rifle Reloads (S-Mod). Improves reload times.

Level 20 – 39,000 xp
Rifleman – M4A1 M203 Grenade Launcher (Mod).
Grenadier - M203 HEDP Rounds (S-Mod). Replaces standard 40mm M203 round with an armor piercing variant.
Scout- Marksman Rifle Muzzle Velocity (S-Mod). Replaces the standard 7.62mm ball round with a high velocity variant. Greatly reduces bullet drop over distances.
Auto Rifleman – LMG AP Rounds (S-Mod). Replaces the standard 5.56mm and 7.62mm ball rounds with armor piercing variants.

You can earn xp by killing enemies, completing objectives, and working together as a team(giving orders and healing). Although, I do not have the full breakdown on how xp is calculated. An easy way to xp grind is to play FTE Combat Sweep mission "Counter Insurgency" and enabling the B-Mod for either 10% or 20% xp bonus. If you eliminate all enemies and weapon caches, you can level up after each mission is completed. The max I have seen earned in one mission is 32,500xp. Even if you complete the campaign and all FTE mission once, you will have to play through them multiple times to get the max level for all soldier classes.

Outlaw 2’s Brave – Requires you to reach level 20 with a Rifleman, Grenadier, Scout, or Auto Rifleman.

Obtain the highest level for all character classes

Core skills is an area of player customization that improves a player's overall abilities across all classes. You can earn 3 CSPs each mission and you earn them only once. You can earn up to 1 Core Skill Point by earning a bronze medal after completing a mission, up to 2 CSPs by earning a silver, and up to 3 CSPs by earning a gold. To earn a Bronze medal in campaign, you must complete the mission. For a Silver medal, you must complete the mission and all objectives. For a Gold medal, you must complete the mission, all objectives, and finish the mission in a certain time (Listed in the next section). You will have to earn a gold medal in all campaign and FTE missions. You start with 1 point on each core skill and require 54 more points to max out all skills. There are 10 campaign missions for 30 points and 8 FTE missions for the other 24 points. DLC gold medals do not earn you core skill points.

Hardened – Max out one core soldier skill.
