Marathon: Durandal Walkthrough

6. DLC walkthrough

If you are reading this you are either: 1) Done with the original 12 achievements, 2) Just seeing how easy the remainder are trying to determine whether to buy the DLC or not, 3) Completely Lost. Either way, welcome to the DLC page of Marathon: Durandal. There are only 3 achievements to gain here. 2 of them are from 4+ player multiplayer and the other is from the survival mini-game.

*IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS POPPING THESE ACHIEVEMENTS, MAKE SURE TO CHECK IN THE SETTINGS TO SEE IF THE DLCs ARE ENABLED*

We will be starting with the easiest achievements first: the multiplayer ones. The only problem with these is that the online is pretty much deader than a graveyard at midnight. So you may need to set up a session or two to complete these, or if you have 4 controllers you could set them all as guests on split screen and just continue what you were doing before. The first one is from the Total Carnage Netmap Pack. The achievement is to win a game of 4+ players on each of the maps in this DLC pack. There are 12 maps that are added with this pack:

1. Fortress Lh'owon
2. Melatonin
3. Reverof Nohtaram
4. Delusions of Grandeur
5. Thick and Chunky
6. Return to Waldo
7. Beyond Thunderdome
8. Carnage Palace Deeee-Luxe
9. Wrath No More?
10. Duality
11. Mime Target
12. You don't need to see my I.D.

A win on each one of these maps gives you:

Win a multiplayer game with at least 4 players in every map in the Total Carnage Netmap Pack.

Make sure to keep a checklist of the ones you have won on, as there is no in game counter of which ones you have won on and which you haven't.

Now that is taken care of time to move to the last multiplayer achievement.

This one is in the Jjaro Net Map Pack. It is acquired by outscoring all the other players (at least 3+) in a KOTH or KTMWTB game. (KOTH = King of the Hill, KTMWTB = Kill the Man with the Ball). The quickest method to do this takes roughly a second. Set up 4 controllers and grab the ball for one second, then end it. POP!

And with that, you are down to one measly achievement away from 100% original and DLC of Marathon: Durandal.

This achievement is found in the survival mini-game. Survival is a never ending, constant firefight between youand the entire galaxy. They don't stop until you die. And all you have to do to pop the achievement is last roughly 15 minutes in survival mode, or 18 if you are hiding. This is the key to the end, the juggernaut. You must kill him and live to tell the tale, like the achievement says. That means, if you remember from prior experience with them, once you knock them out they fall to the ground and explode when they reach the ground. You must survive the killing process and for .1 seconds after it blows up on the ground. Once you have done that:
