4. Multiplayer & Mop-Up
Now we will move on to the multiplayer achievements that will vary between competitive play and getting band members to play with you. None of these are hard in the least, but require planning to get enough people together or luck to find the required people online. Time is also a factor. First, play one of each type of competitive game type (as well as making sure you've played a song in Career and Quickplay) to get:
Play at least one song in Quickplay, Career and each Competitive game type
Stick around with the competitive games and play your 25 Pro Face Off matches. "Song 2" by Blur is a short song to play through and it doesn't matter if you win or lose these matches. You can also peruse the store for some other short songs, such as the incredibly odd song "Lemon Frosting." This will get you:
Complete 25 Pro Face Off matches online (Win or Lose)
The next batch of achievements will require you make some quick friends or find some people online that can assist you with a few of these. Some don't necessarily require anybody actually playing, so if you have multiple copies of the same instrument you can have a ghost in your house play on an instrument while you do another. However, doing it this way will require you have lots of the same instrument, so for all intents and purposes of this guide I say you go out and make friends anyway. I will also assume you have access to every type of instrument since you will be needing them for these achievements. Get your band together and quickly trash these few achievements.
Play a song with 4 Lead Guitarists
Play a song with 4 Bass Guitarists
Play a song with 4 Vocalists
Play a song with 4 Drummers
Now get this same band to stick with you and make some actual music. Continue playing through songs and try to play on a difficulty that you can all succeed on. The last one can be done by yourself with the right set up, but you can just go ahead and get it out of the way now (read its solutions for more details).
As a 4 player standard band, all 4 players activate Star Power simultaneously
Achieve a maxed out band multiplier as a standard band
Complete 5 band challenges at Gold or better
While you have your group with you it wouldn't be a bad idea to go ahead and try to get these two out of the way. The first isn't that big of a deal with a full band, but the second may require a bit more weight-pulling.
Earn 1,000,000 points in a single song as a solo act or band
Earn 3,000,000 points in a single song as a band
To wrap up these band/multiplayer achievements, it's time to take your group to the online stage. With the lobbies being the way they are it is probably best to plan ahead using TA for some of these. Again the only difficulty in these achievements is finding and keeping people that you need to achieve.
Make a standard 8 player Band v Band match online, win or lose
Play an online match with 8 players, all on the same instrument
Play 10 4-Player RockFest Mode games of any type
Finally, the home stretch! The last handful of achievements are mostly harmless, but time-consuming in the long run. Head on over to GHMix and get the following achievements popped. While you're getting the Producer achievement you should create an extremely short song that has 1 note to hit. In fact, I made 10 of these songs and named them all numerically ("001," "002," etc.). This will come in handy in a sec.
Create a music studio song
Now trot on over to Quickplay and prepare to see the finish line. Go ahead and make an hour-long setlist consisting of whatever you like to get:
Make and complete a setlist which is at least 1 hour long
From here, if you used the tip I gave above, you will have your 10 created songs at the very top of your song list (if arranged alphabetically, which it is by default). I mention this tip so all of your extremely short songs will all be together. Now simply make a playlist with all 10 songs in it, play them, and repeat the process to get the following:
Complete 14 songs in Quickplay
Complete 100 songs in Quickplay
Complete 300 songs in Quickplay
By now there is only one achievement left and technically you may have already obtained it depending on your skill. Look at what its solutions say on using custom songs or just try and earn it yourself the old-fashioned way in Quickplay or Career.
Earn 500,000 points in a single song as a solo act
Pat yourself on the back and bask in your victory! A job well done.
