How to unlock the Think Fast! achievement

    Actions
    Start Half Life 2: Episode 1. Chapter 2: Direct Intervention.

    When the level loads, go through the door ahead of you. Four or five Elite Soldiers will attack you. Stand back and don't shoot! One of the soldiers will shoot an energy ball at you. Grab the energy ball with your gravity gun (LT) and shoot it back (RT) at the same soldier.

    The achievement will unlock if you hit the same Elite Soldier that shot the energy ball. If you miss or hit the wrong soldier, press start, select New Game and reload the level.

    To unlock Think Fast!, use your Gravity Gun to grab a White Combine Soldier's energy ball as he is tossing it at you, and throw it back. These soldiers only appear in the final two chapters of the game, and don't appear often. When you see one, distance yourself, pay attention, and wait for an energy ball. Pull it in, fire it back, and the achievement will unlock if you hit your enemy.

    drabikBy the way Blue Radium, I know I have a 'competing solution', but I thought that I should point out that I got this achievement in Chapter 2 of episode 1.
