Machine Gun is your 5th Weapon

OK, on-line is dead / non-existent so boosting is probably the only way to get the on-line achievements. First, just know that all Team DM kills also count towards your DM kills. So when you are working on your weapons achievements, just make sure you are in a Team DM. Here is the fastest way to get all the on-line achievements:

    1. Set up a Party so you can chat while boosting
    2. Choose "Xbox Live"
    3. Choose "Player Match"
    4. Choose "Create Match"
    5. Game Type - Team DM
    6. Map - Any map but Roadhouse is easy
    7. Frag Limit - Set to the max of 100
    8. Time Limit - None
    9. Max Players - 2
    10. Private - 1

This should give you and your boosting partner unlimited time to get the 25 kills with each weapon. It will take you about 2~3 rounds. I used the Roadhouse and the person getting the kills (aka "killer") sits in 1 spot (at the bar or in the basement). The other person runs to the killer, dies, hits the right-trigger to respawn quick(er), and then runs back to the "killer". While the "killer" is sitting and waiting, they can move around and gather ammo / weapons. You can trade off after each weapon achievement or just have 1 person do the full 100 kills (4 achievements). Just keep track of what weapon you use and when the achievement pops to switch to a different weapon. Use the RB/LB to cycle through the weapons.

After boosting for the weapon achievements in Team DM you should have 225 kills (25 x 9 weapons). You can go another round and get your last 25 kills in Team DM (250 total kills) here or come back later.

Next, host a Ranked Deathmatch. This time, set the frag limit to 5 (lowest). Have the other person search for your match and then go. Rinse and repeat 9 more times and this will get you your 10 Ranked matches achievement.

Doctor ShawnYou should mention which weapon people need to use for each achievement, in case people are not sure.
For example, use the secondary function of the rifle [2nd weapon in list].
Apart from that, it's a very good solution.

exact0Well, with so many weapons that need to be boosted, I was thinking they would figure it out. "Just keep track of what weapon you use and when the achievement pops to switch to a different weapon. Use the RB/LB to cycle through the weapons."

OxCxD 87I'm going to be honest and say that I gave you the negative because you have been posting this in EVERY guide for online achievements in Prey. I hate to break it to you but this should ONLY be posted in the "Ultimate Warrior/Team Player" guides... Or the ones ONLY dealing with accumulated DM kills. This guide DOES NOT help anyone out that wants to know what the gun looks like or where it is located on Roadhouse (or any other map at that)...

exact0@theKilling 757: Well, this is a cumulative / co-operative information site. Just add what's missing or clarify what's confusing. I think what I wrote does explain how to get the achievement. If you didn't think it had enough details or description, you should have posted that information... but I didn't see anything constructive or useful that you posted so you didn't help anyone. Maybe you just haven't had time. Instead, others will be wasting their time reading your honest but negative reply.... and my pointless rebuttal.

Yes, it is the same for each gun so you don't need to know what it looks like. Just use one gun until you get the achievement, then switch to another one…. and so on.

OxCxD 87Wouldn't it make sense to post a guide SPECIFIED to the weapon? Your guide does nothing but tell us HOW to obtain the quickest kills with the weapons but you NEVER explain where the weapon is, what it looks like, and the requirements of obtaining 25 kills with each. This would be good to know for such weapon as the rifle. Since the rifle has 2 achievements associated with it. One for 25 rifle kills and the other for 25 headshots.

My point is you need to stop guide spamming and actually take the time to write the guide for the SPECIFIED achievement. Not write one for OVERALL kills online and post it for WEAPON SPECIFIC kills...

That is what confuses people and another reason why the guides on have been very slack lately. Just saying, tighten it up and actually HELP the community. Not help yourself get more solution guides...

OxCxD 87And I wouldn't post a guide unless I explained EVERY DETAIL surrounding the achievement... So I wouldn't just post a sloppy guide just to "prove" something to you. I don't need to "prove" anything but that these guides fall short of helpful when it comes to WEAPON SPECIFIC KILLS.

As for the cumulative Team DM and DM kills, it's almost perfect. So all I really ask (as well as others who have posted) is that you tune your guides to the achievement at hand. Not write one for EVERY online achievement and make everyone else "figure it out"

exact0@andimeadz - Just use one gun until you get the achievement, then switch to another one…. and so on. Since on-line is dead, you will need to set up a boosting party with someone. While you got for the Team DM and DM kills, just use a different weapon each time. The machine gun should be your 5th weapon.
