Fairly easy once you get to know how the game works. Also if you are working on getting the other achievements than this is a sure fire get. The standard rule is keep moving and don't lose track of yourself. I find myself dying most just because I wasn't paying attention.

The key to this achievement is learning the basics of the game. That means, how to move and fire, and how different enemies behave. Practice moving one direction while firing another and get used to the feel of using both thumbsticks at once. Then, practice these basic strategies for each enemy:

Purple Pinwheel: Cannon fodder. Moves slowly in random directions. Shoot at your leisure or fly around it if you need to.

Blue Diamond: Moves at you slowly at first, but will slowly accelerate the longer they are alive. Easy to avoid, gun down as you can.

Pink Cube: Moves towards you at a decent pace and splits into smaller cubes when shot. It's best to kill them with a little distance between you if possible, as the little ones they spawn are unpredictable at first.

Tiny Pink Cube: Only spawn when a Pink Cube has been shot. They will move towards you slowly while making quick circular motions. Don't get too close, they have a tendency to fly right around your line of fire and hit you from the side.

Green Seeker: This bright green square will come at you fairly quickly. It will attempt to dodge anything you fire at it. It's best to pin a group of them against a wall with no place to escape. If there are other things on the screen, just let them follow you and stay in front of them. After 10k points, the powerups make them much easier to kill.

Red Hole: This enemy barely moves at all, and requires multiple shots to kill. After the first shot has landed, it creates a gravity well, pulling at you and all the other enemies around it while repelling your shots. It is best to get close and take them down quickly once you have activated them. You can also use them to slow down following enemies. But be careful, any enemies pulled into the center will increase the size (and power) of the Red Hole. If too many get pulled in, it will explode, releasing a group of Blue Balls.

Blue Balls: Cause trouble for newer players. Since they are spawned by exploding Red Holes, they can be prevented from spawning at all. These little guys are faster than you are, but luckily cannot turn as quickly as you can. To avoid them, make sure you turn when they get close.

Snakes: These are basically moving walls and will approach you in a slow, winding pattern. You must shoot the head of the snake to kill it, as the rest of the body is immune to your shots. Try to take them down quickly to prevent movement troubles later.

There are two other enemies that will almost never spawn before you have reached the 100k mark, but I will include them for completeness.

Red Magnets: These make life difficult. They will charge at you while shielding their front side. You need to dodge them when they charge. Shoot them from behind.

Blue Jacks: Tiny triangular enemies that spawn in large swarms from the corners of the screen. They die easily, but their danger is in their sheer numbers. If you are struggling to get 100k and these show up, you may just want to be generous with the bombs. To kill them without bombs, you must effectively cut a hole through the swarms to fly through.

Once you know these mechanics, going farther is a matter of practice and staying in motion. Most choose to fly in a circular pattern while cutting a path in front of them when new enemies are spawning, then shooting backwards at the following mob of enemies once they feel safe. I hope this helps!
