How to unlock the Victorious NATO achievement

    You have the choice of playing as China or NATO for the final mission. There is an achievement for each so this trick will greatly help for both.

    The AI in this game gets a massive handicap if they are not on screen. So much that if you stare at the ground the damage you take is roughly 1/50th. You will instantly become the most absorbent bullet sponge with out using cheats. Use this "tactic" anytime you are outside on the final mission.

    Once you get inside the two bunkers, use the grenade launcher around corners. You must clear the area around the switches so you don't get killed in the process.

    After you activate the two switches, start using that "tactic" towards the large tower. The rest of the mission is very easy and forgettable (I stopped playing this game 3 years ago).

    Staring at the ground is the best advice for this achievement.

    StumblesMcGeeI just found this, http://www.mahalo.com/battlefield-2-walkthrough/#flying-the-..., which is a huge help as I've been having difficulty getting the sniper to spawn on the tower at the end to laser designate Commander 31's tower.

    Fire Hawk DOne thing I noticed, beyond this awesome trick working, is that if you hit certain invisible "checkpoints" the teammate A.I. will suddenly just roll into the area and clear them out. For instance, at the right bunker, I'll just run in over the hill, hide behind the shipping containers, and while I'm picking them off, my team will ride in and just clear them out with far more effectiveness than usually on display. Before I know it, I have the area locked down. It's weird but works. Maybe it's not a certain "spot" but certain enemies?

    Chosen One 41Oh my god, really? If this works I am going to laugh my ass off.

    I'm just imagining the PC running around with his hands over his eyes yelling, "If I can't see you, you can't hurt me!" and then the enemies being all like, "Well shit, he's right!"

    JsNukeI'm glad people are still using this. Thanks to Chosen One 41 commenting on this solution, I was hit with a dose of nostalgia. Hard to believe it's almost 4 years since I wrote this solution & 7 years since I actually played the game. Gotta love TA.
