NOTE: I would not have been able to figure this out without the help of some fantastic guides out there, I'm simply writing this based on what I've learned from them. All credit goes to the incredible people who managed to actually solve this inhuman trading sequence!

Introduction:

This achievement is for acquiring the secret treasure located at the top of Xylophone Tower, which you will discover in chapter 7. You will progress through this tower naturally by playing through the story, but you will only be able to find the treasure on your second playthrough (Encore), so there is no need to worry about this on your first playthrough. Also, keep in mind that the trading sequence will only be available in full once you reach chapter 6 (When you'll be able to teleport back to previous areas).

Prior to reaching chapter 6, keep in mind that you will need 20 different photos of enemies for a certain item. Therefore, take photos from the very start of the game with Beat during battles.

Here is how the trading sequence will go down:

1) Once you reach chapter 5, beat Rondo in Aria Temple, and recieve the 'Heart Pendant'. (The following takes place in chapter 6):

- Now teleport to Ritardando, walk left and enter the cave. Ahead you'll meet a man called 'Former Developer', speak to him.

- Once that's done, teleport back to Baroque and walk down the big staircase, then turn right. Approach the old lady ahead called 'Former Servant', and speak to her.

- Now teleport to Forte City. Head South towards Fort Fermata. Once inside, head to the 'West Side' and find the small house with the locked door (You've no doubt noticed this little building while traversing this labyrinth earlier) and enter. Now give the 'Heart Pendant' to Chord (Make sure it's not equipped when you give it to him). You will recieve the 'Pot'. (This will also grant you the 'Soul Released' achievement).

2) Now teleport to Tenuto Village. Enter the first building on the right, and speak to the old lady inside. You will trade the 'Pot' for 'Goat Stew'.

3) Teleport to Agogo Village, and proceed across the little bridge leading to the Chorus Plains. A little ways down the road here, you will find the Goat Herder, which will trade you his 'Coupon' for your 'Goat Stew'.

4) Teleport to Forte City again, and head South to the Hanon Hills. Meet up with the merchant you saved earlier, and trade him your 'Coupon' for his 'Honey'.

5) Now teleport back to Baroque, and enter the Castle. Head up the stairs to the left, and proceed towards the far left room, where you will find the Researcher. Give him your 'Honey'. He will now send you to find 'Agogo Droppings'.

6) So, teleport to Agogo Village and talk to the Boy about getting the 'Agogo Droppings'. He wants 20 different photos of creatures (Enemies). So, enter a battle with 20 different species, and use Beat's 'Vivid Shot' ability on them. You can only carry 12 photos at once, so deliver your first set, and come back with the remaining 8 afterwards, to recieve the 'Agogo droppings'.

7) Once that's done, teleport back to Baroque, and give the 'Agogo droppings' to the Researcher in the castle. You will recieve 'Odd Candy'.

8) Teleport back to Forte City, and head south again to the Hanon Hills where you will meet the merchant again. Trade him your 'Odd Candy' for his 'Glass Ball'.

9) Teleport to Baroque again, and give the priest (located near the tavern) your 'Glass Ball'. He will then tell you to bring it to the very top of Aria Temple. So, head south to Aria Temple and climb to the top floor (Where you fought Rondo). Here you will see a black'ish ghost in the far back of the room. Give it your 'Glass Ball', which will then be transformed into an 'Orb'.

Final Step / Achievement:

Now play through the game normally until you reach chapter 7. Once you reach the top of Xylophone Tower, defeat the boss (Which consists of two enemies) and head to the door behind them. Use the 'Orb' on it, and enter the door for your treasure and well earned achievement, congratulations!
