GET XP WHILE YOU ARE SLEEPING!

Ok this is an easy process called rubberbanding.

Things you need, A dedicated server (extra xbox)
and 2 or more people who need xp. (up to 14)

    Make the game
    Dedicated Server
    Attack/Defend
    20 Mins
    No Respawns
    15 Seconds Between Games
    5 Second Brief
    Team Kills Off

Now the players that are in game just put rubberband around both joysticks. So you run circles all night, earning xp each 20 mins when the round ends. Also make sure u have a wired controller or plug n play kit plugged in or your controller will idle out.

Defending team gets 1600xp per game, assault get 800xp per game. Too Easy

Thanks to Digitalwar4 for the ranking info:
Private Second Class - Experience Required: 0 pts. (Default Rank)

CortanaramaI just had rank reset. I was reading somewhere that if it asks you to choose a gender for new online character, you dashboard and come back and it should be fine, but I apparently made new character, so I'm starting from scratch. Definitely interested if someone has a dedicated server.

The S bot 9000For those curious: Assuming you get an average of 3600XP per hour (averaging out a swap between attacker and defender each 20 minute iteration) this method will take 187.5 hours of idling if you start from 0xp

Edit: If you were to boost this using the solo method that would bring the total time down to 140.6 Hours (4800xp/hr)

And if you did this “legit” with lvu campus runs: it would be 53.75 hours (Assuming an average of 3 minutes per run i.e 12,000xp/hr).

JackieBladeCThere is no way to achieve 53.75 hours playing TH, all 4 players must be so good at this game(cheats). In reality, you will be close to 85-100 hours by playing TH. Idle boosting will be the best solution. if you having 3 consoles or two 360 and X One, put your main account to defenders team you always gonna get 1600xp every 20 min it is the fastest way.

    Idle boosting by yourself

There is no proper solution on how to boost this by yourself using 2 Xboxes and a turbo controller, so I'm going to write one. Why would you want to do this? Simple reason. You will get 1599 XP-points every round of the match and won't have to go to the Assault-side ever, which grants only 800 XP per match. Plus you can do this anytime you want and not worry about other people. Yes, this is the solution where you do not need a dedicated server.

It is possible to do this without a turbo controller, but it will be very tedious, since you can't auto-launch the match without rapid firing the A-button on the turbo, so you would have to start every round manually with a normal controller.

    Things you need:

    - 2 Xbox 360 consoles. (Or Xbox Ones using backwards compatibility)
    - A wired normal controller (charge cable works too) and a turbo controller.
    - 2 copies of Rainbow Six Vegas. (Or 1 digital copy played on 2 Xbox Ones using the home console trick)
    - A dummy account with Gold-time for the 2nd console. (Not required on Xbox One)
    - Rubberbands.
    - Some kind of monitor for both Xboxes.

    Step 1.

Go to Multiplayer -> Xbox Live. Select Create match and change the settings:

    Game mode: Attack & defend
    Game type: Player match
    Item restrictions: (doesn't matter)
Map: Dam (I used this, but it doesn't really matter)
Max players: 2 (one for yourself and one for your dummy)
Private slots: 1 (for your dummy)
    Dedicated server: No
    Allow Voice: doesn't matter
    Language: doesn't matter
    Respawns: No

    Then press Launch the game.

    Step 2.

You will now be in the lobby by yourself on the assault side.

This is what you will always have to do first, so read carefully.

Go to settings, set Lock teams to No and select Accept.

Back in the lobby, select Change team and go to the Defender-side.

Go back to settings and set Lock teams back to Yes and Accept.

Now you are ready to invite your dummy gamertag. It will now join the Assault-side, which is always the losing side and you will now receive 1599 XP after every round on the Defender-side.

    Go back to Match settings.

    Round duration: 20 minutes
    Rounds per map: 20
    Respawns: No
    Team respawn: No
    Lock teams: Yes
    Friendly fire: No
    Briefing timer: 5 seconds

So it will be a single match that lasts 20x20 minutes = 6 hours and 40 minutes.
After every round you will receive 1599 XP. You will have to set the match up again
after the 20 rounds, because the Launch-button will gray out, but you will get a nice 32,000 XP every time for a full match if everything goes smoothly.

How to set up the controllers:

Rubberband your Right stick to up left side, so that your character keeps looking at the ceiling while spinning. Note: you might not get XP if you rubberband it downwards, so always go up left. DO NOT rubberband the Left stick. This will often cause the cursor to move out of the Launch game -button between rounds and it will get stuck in the lobby.

Rubberbanding the 2nd controller (dummy) is only necessary for preventing the game from kicking the tag out of the match. It might not get any XP, but it won't matter. So rubberband it up left side too.

Set the A-button on your turbo controller to rapid wire while you press Launch game. Figure out something heavy enough to keep the A-button pressed constantly. I used a external Usb hard drive, I moved extra controller to the right side of the turbo controller and let the hard drive rest on the thumbsticks of the extra controller and the left side keeps pressing down the A-button on the turbo. There are many ways to do it, but that's just my example.

If everything works out, it should keep the match up for the 6 hours and 40 minutes and you can let it idle while you sleep, go to work or school, or anytime you are away. You'll probably want to shut the TV:s or monitors power off to save electricity while it is idling.

    Extra info:

    - Always when you start a new match, try to babysit it for the first 20 minutes if possible. This way it won't screw up and get stuck in the lobby wasting time and electricity. If the first round goes well, the rest of the match will too, as long as you don't touch it and your controller stays on. The problem is that sometimes it might get stuck in the lobby screen after 1st round.

    - Do not check the scoreboard or lobby while the match is running, this will often result that the next round of the match will not start properly, as the cursor will go to Equipment instead of Launch game button, and it will keep looping in the equipment menu and get stuck until you fix it.

    - Have the respawns always off, because if they are on, you will receive less XP.

    - The XP bar of the game has 5 blocks, but there is usually a hidden 6th block which you will notice, when the 5 blocks are already full and you won't achieve the next rank right away, it still keeps filling XP. This is normal.

    - The turbo controller needs to be wired too so it won't shut down. I was able to get my Datel-turbo controller wired by using the Ps3-controllers charge cable and inserting it to the usb-port. I plugged the other end to the turbo controller data input that is under the battery case. This made it a wired controller.

In online multiplayer you need 675,000 xp. The fastest way to achieve this is to play Terrorist Hunt on LVU Campus with the enemy density set at high and realistic difficulty.

This can be done in player matches and it it faster than ranked matches because nobody playes ranked matches.

MAJIN BOOSHYou have to be good like o DEEVIUS o, if you’re not than don’t bother playing the maps he mentioned
Posted by MAJIN BOOSH on 09 Jun 18 at 13:32
The game is a lot easier if you take it in stages - Don't just run in and start shooting because they will overwhelm you and flank you from every angle.

The idea for completing every map on realistic high alone is 'Provoke & retreat':
When you first enter a map there are no enemies at all anywhere, you unlock them by moving past 'spawn thresholds' - once they are unlocked they begin to slowly spread out and search, but the idea is to lure them into a bottleneck and kill them like fish in a barrel from behind good cover.

Enter the map, find the first good piece of cover, go in to the next part of the map to unlock the enemies, shoot your weapon without a silencer and then pull back to the cover. They will all respond to the fire and one by one allow you to gun them down in relative safety. You can learn the best places across the map to do this and have a solid 99% victory rate on any map.

The following are exact directions for hosting a rubberband XP boosting session.

Go to “Multiplayer” at RSV1's main menu and choose “Create Match.”

    Game mode: Attack & Defend
    Game type: Player Match
    Item restrictions: No Restrictions
    Map: Calypso Casino
Max players: 16 (Will only show 14 until you make it a dedicated server)
Private slots: 16 (Will only show 14 until you make it a dedicated server)
    Dedicated server: Yes
    Allow voice: Everyone
    Language: English
    Respawns: No

Once these settings are established, start the match. The map will load, and there will be an empty lobby. Go to “Match Settings” and make sure they are as follows:

    Game mode: Attack & Defend
    Item restrictions: No restrictions
    Map: Calypso Casino
    Round duration: 20 minutes
    Rounds per match: 1
Time between rounds: Unlimited (Set it to 15 seconds after everyone is in his or her correct position on the Assault and Defense teams.)
    Respawns: No
    Team respawn: No
Lock teams: No (This is up to you. I prefer to not lock them so that players can balance teams when people drop out or disconnect.)
    Friendly fire: No
    Briefing timer: 5 seconds

Invite all participants to the game and make sure that he or she is on the side you want them to be on. Launch the game.

    Note on scoring:

The score that each team receives is based around the length of a match and how balanced the teams are. If the teams are balanced, the Defending team will receive 1600 points according to the equation:

    (300 + 100) x [(4) x (1)] = 1600
    - 300 because the objective was met successfully
    - 100 because there were no respawns
    - 4 because the match length was 20 minutes (the base time is 5 minutes)
    - 1 because the teams were evenly matched

If the Defending team is successful, but have 20% more members, the equation will read:

    (300 + 100) x [(4) x (.8)] = 1280

If there are more people on the Defending side, the Assaulting side will NOT receive more than 800 XP. Therefore, always try to balance teams to maximize XP gain for all players.

If you want elite in this game it will take some time to do and the fastest way to get it done is to do terrorist hunt you can earn 600exp every 3mins with just two people and 600exp every 2mins or less with 4 people.

Play on lvu campus and/or dantes if you want to have a change of scenery. both maps have only 25 enemies on realistic high density. This is way faster than gumbanding your controller and earning at most 1200exp per 20 mins.

I have my elite rank but will be playing on my girls xbox account to get my lil bro elite contact me on ta for questions or if you want to play with us. we have beat lvu in 1min 42sec together and dantes in 1min 52secs with 3 or 4 we have been faster.

Ok so here's the deal. There are essentially THREE ways to rubberband boost this achievement in your sleep or while you're away on vacation.

    Preface
Doing any of these 3 boosting methods will yield:
    a) Attackers will receive at most* 1599 XP per match (i.e. 3 matches per hour = 4797 XP per hour)
    b) Defenders will receive at most* 799 XP per match (i.e. 3 matches per hour = 2397 XP per hour)
*Assumes teams are balanced (i.e. 3 vs. 3). If teams are unbalanced, there is a slight score penalty for the team with the larger number or players.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1. TURBO SOLO
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Required: 2 Xbox 360's, 2 Game Discs, 1 Turbo Controller, 2 Xbox LIVE GamerTags, 2 Plug & Play charging kits OR 2 wired controllers

-Use the turbo controller to set up a private match with the following characteristics:
    Game mode: Attack & Defend
    Dedicated Server: No
    # of Rounds: 20
    Round Time Limit: 20 Minutes
    Respawns: No

    -Invite your GamerTag to lobby
-Rubberband both joysticks in the 'upwards' direction on both controllers.
-Set the Turbo Controller to rapid fire the 'A' button (so that it essentially 'launches' the next match at conclusion of first)
-Make sure rubberbands are secure & controllers are plugged in firmly. (If your batteries die in the middle of the night you will get kicked from session)

    Advantages: No other gamers required.
Disadvantage: Requires 2 Xbox 360's, 2 Game Discs, & 2 Xbox LIVE GamerTags.
Also, you can only do sessions of 6.33 Hours before you will need to come back and reinitialize a new session.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    2. TURBO PARTNER
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Required: 1 Xbox 360, 1 Game Disc, 1 Turbo Controller, 1 Xbox LIVE GamerTag, 1 Plug & Play charging kit OR 1 wired controller, and 1 ADDITIONAL Xbox LIVE GamerTag boosting partner.

-Use the turbo controller to set up a private match with the following characteristics:
    Game mode: Attack & Defend
    Dedicated Server: No
    # of Rounds: 20
    Round Time Limit: 20 Minutes
    Respawns: No

-Invite your boosting partners GamerTag to lobby
-Rubberband both joysticks in the 'upwards' direction on both controllers.
-Set the Turbo Controller to rapid fire the 'A' button (so that it essentially 'launches' the next match at conclusion of first)
-Make sure rubberbands are secure & controllers are plugged in firmly. (If your batteries die in the middle of the night you will get kicked from session). Also good to confirm with partner that theirs are good to go as well.

Advantages: Only 1 Xbox 360 & 1 Game Disc required.
Disadvantage: Requires you to rely on a boosting partner.
Also, you can only do sessions of 6.33 Hours before you will need to come back and reinitialize a new session.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    3. REGULAR PARTNER(S)
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Required: 1 Xbox 360, 1 Game Disc, 1 Xbox LIVE GamerTag, 1 Plug & Play charging kit OR wired controller, and at least 2 additional boosting partners with Xbox LIVE GamerTags.

NOTE: With this method, you need one Xbox LIVE GamerTag to act as a host. This GamerTag will NOT receive any experience for the session.

So the two options are either:
    a) take turns with people in session acting as the host OR
    b) if someone in session has 2 of all items (i.e. Xbox, Game Disc, etc.), they use a bot (that they don't care receiving the achievement) to act as host

-Have the host use a normal controller to set up a private match with the following characteristics:
    Game mode: Attack & Defend
    Dedicated Server: Yes
    # of Rounds: 1 (Does not matter)
    Round Time Limit: 20 Minutes
    Auto Launch Timer: Unlimited*
    Briefing Time: 5 Seconds
    Respawns: No
    Team Kills: OFF

-Have host invite all boosting partner(s) GamerTag(s) to lobby
-ONCE ALL BOOSTERS are in lobby, host CHANGES Auto Launch Timer to 15 seconds.
(The only reason the launch timer was initially set to unlimited was to allow all players to get in lobby before first game starts). Changing the timer back to 15 seconds is a very important step. Forgetting to change the Timer back to 15 seconds and then going away will result the session only lasting one match!
-Rubberband both joysticks in the 'upwards' direction on all controllers in session including host
-Make sure rubberbands are secure & controllers are plugged in firmly. (If your batteries die in the middle of the night you will get kicked from session). Also good to confirm with partner(s) that theirs are good to go as well.
-As this session can go 'indefinitely', it is a good idea to UNLOCK teams (especially with larger boosting groups), that way when players leave session, other players can balance the teams to maximize points.

Advantages: Only 1 Xbox 360 & 1 Game Disc required, No turbo controller required, Session can go 'indefinitely' rather then only 6.33 Hours as long as there are at least 1 attacker and 1 defender. Theoretically, you could run the session non-stop until you receive the achievement (i.e. start the session up and come back a week later and have the achievement)
Disadvantage: Requires you to rely on boosting partner(s).
Also, whichever GamerTag is the host, will not receive XP for duration of session

This solution describes a way to circumvent the 6 hour limit when dual box idle boosting, but does need some specialized hardware to do so.

Why is there a 6 hour limit anyway?
Boosting with only two xbox consoles and a turbo controller has the problem that you could idle boost for only 6 hours and 40 minutes (20 rounds x 20 minutes). After the 20th round the Launch Game option is disabled during the first 5-7 seconds after the last round. This causes your turbo controller to select the first available next option, which is Players, and from there pressing A like crazy will never launch the game.

The Launch Game option is only enabled (and automatically selected) again after a few seconds when the screen becomes almost black and the game shows the loading symbol in the upper right corner of the screen (during this time it is probably registering the new online game at the Ubisoft servers).

So what about this specialized hardware?
If your controller is an advanced or programmable turbo controller and you have the option to press A only once every 10 seconds (to be on the safe side), you can automatically start a new 20 round game right after round 20 of the first session is finished. Even if the controller pushes the A button right after finishing the last round (and before the special loading screen has appeared), there is still the second post round result screen to wait another 10 seconds for the load screen to appear, and by then the Launch Game options is definitely available (and automatically selected) again.

Since I didn't own a turbo controller, let alone an advanced or programmable controller, I created my own, using an old Xbox controller and an Arduino logic board. By opening the controller and connecting a wire from the A button contact pad to pin 13 of the Arduino and uploading this script to the Arduino:

    int buttonOutput = 13;

    void setup() {
    pinMode(buttonOutput, OUTPUT);
    }

    void loop() {
    digitalWrite(buttonOutput, HIGH);
    delay(50);
    digitalWrite(buttonOutput, LOW);
    delay(10 * 1000);
    }

This script releases the A button for 50 milliseconds and then pushes it down for 10 seconds (10,000 milliseconds) and repeats this cycle indefinitely. This has the advantage that A is immediately pressed if you connect the logic board, but the xbox registers only one button press every 10 seconds. I used pin 13 on the Arduino, since it is also connected to an onboard LED, providing some visual feedback.

You can use any device that is able to give off a +5V (or maybe even +3.3V) signal every 7+ seconds and connect it to the contact pad for the A button inside your controller.

How to setup the game itself?
Let your dummy be the host, since it will be automatically on Assault, so your main is automatically on Defense and you don't need to change the Lock Teams setting all the time.

When you start the game go to Multiplayer -> Xbox Live. Select Create match and change the settings:

    Game mode: Attack & defend
    Game type: Player match
    Item restrictions: (doesn't matter)
Map: Calypso Casino (I used this, but it doesn't really matter)
Max players: 2 (one for yourself and one for your dummy)
Private slots: 2 (one for yourself and one for your dummy)
    Dedicated server: No
    Allow Voice: doesn't matter
    Language: doesn't matter
    Respawns: No

    Launch the server

When you are in the lobby for you game go to Match settings on the left side of the screen and change the settings:

    Round duration: 20 minutes
    Rounds per map: 1
    Respawns: No
    Team respawn: No
    Lock teams: Yes
    Friendly fire: No
    Briefing timer: 5 seconds

(Don't forget to select Accept on top of the list)

Invite the other player(s) and make sure every one is in the right team.

Click Launch Game by enabling your turbo setup and stay the first 20 minutes to check if the restart works ok. To make sure everything works ok, set the number of rounds always to 1, this means you get the problematic loading event after every round.

While the game is running rubber band the right stick to the upper left orientation for both controllers (otherwise you will be kicked for idling).

    Victory!
I have used this method to get the last 500,000+ XP, using 20 minute 1 round games, and it worked perfectly for all 300+ games.

This solution is not relevant for everyone, but if you have the tools available, it may make your idle boosting it little more idle ;)

You don't need a dedicated server at all.

    I've been using 2 xboxes / 2 wired controllers ( 1 turbo )
make sure the host has both sticks turned to the left and the A button rapid firing. All this means is when the match ends the left stick will not go up changing settings because the a button is constantly being pressed.
Do you have a question about this achievement? Please post it in the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas Forum
