GrimReaperX4's solution is very good, here is some additional information - and also some information to let this run automatically with a Hori EX2.

You have to reach Option Level 50 in Judgement Silversword to get this achievement. In order to get points simply play the game until you are Game Over. Only then the points count towards the achievement. You can adjust number of ships and also start level, this does not disable the achievement (this means, you can play with Ranking OFF). You receive the achievement when you are game over or finish the game and your points are registered - it does not popup while you are playing.

Important: the sooner you unlock Special mode, the faster you get the points. However, special mode is not easy though and only towards the end you gain many points. I assume that you are an average player like me, so first I went for FREE PLAY and GODMODE, before unlocking special mode (through finishing normal mode - ranking can be off).

Option Level 1 - 28
Until you have FREE PLAY (I think it is Level 28) I found it easiest to start on HARD with area 2 (Level 6) [this is not available from the beginning but will unlock before option level 10] with the maximum number of ships possible. When reaching mirror shield (Level 20) I let myself die and start over - because the point gain afterwards (after beating mirror shield) is not really high but the difficulty is too high for point grinding. It took me approximately 70 "playthroughs" from level 6 - 20 in order to unlock FREE PLAY.

Option Level 28 - 32
Now comes the HORI EX2 into the action. You are able to let it run automatically and make approx. 30m per hour. Again, this method is only possible after you unlocked FREE PLAY! This came around option level 28 which is approx. 700m points.

So this is what I did:
- Plug in Hori ;-) and start JSS
- Go to options and select maximum number of ships
- Select start stage 2
- Play on HARD until Magnificence boss manually (Area 13).
- now tape left stick so that ship is flying towards Magnificence
- tape RT as well to have shield activated as well
- configure auto trigger for A button so that you automatically continue (sometimes this breaks the permanent shield, so you have to play around a little. It is important, that the shield (RT) is not interrupted by the automatic A trigger)

What happens now is, that your ship is moving towards Magnificence and hit him with the activated shield. This now a) increases your multiplier (my highest was 62) and b) you gain points. Having 10 ships in stock I made around 600k per minute, which is 36m per hour.

You will also get this achievement automatically (in case you haven't unlock already until you got free play).

Option Level 32- 50
you can use the HORI as well on Special Mode until you reach option level 50 (2.401.000.000 points). Tape down blue X button and set Hori to push A. After the end you will quickly start over with same settings. However, one playthrough with GOD MODE enabled (option level ~32) and the special ship (beat special mode the first time with normal ship) takes around 12 Minutes and gives you around ~275m points (assuming you collect all UPs). So manual play is faster because the survival bonus for each UP you have in the end is very high (10m each after last boss) and playing automatically does not give you the UPs. It is just one additional hour after you reached level 32, so I did this manually ;-)
