The Brass achievement in L.A. Noire (Xbox 360)

There are 20 Badge Levels and you need 1140 XP in total to get to level 20. you get these XP for doing tasks.

these tasks are

Answered 1 question correctly-5xp
Acquire a single film reel-5xp
Discover a landmark-5xp
complete a street crime case-15xp
collect a dlc hidden shield-5xp

when you reach a certain badge level you unlock certain things.

level 3 - sword of justice outfit
level 5 - 5 hidden vehicles
level 8 - sunset strip outfit
level 10 - 5 hidden vehicles
level 13 - the outsider outfit
level 15 - 5 hidden vehicles
level 18 - hawkshaw outfit

A little info that might be worth adding. If you start a new game, your rank carries over. As does collected badges, cars, landmarks, etc.

also i replayed a case from the case menu, and didnt seem to get any exp during my replayed case.

yea you don't get additional experience for replaying cases. Once you finish the story you need to get the rest of your needed experience through other means

Yeah, and by starting a new game you cannot do street crimes again for quick XP, either. Just found out :-(

(btw, rank 13 is called the Outsider outfit, not "outside")

y is my rank 19/20 on my stats but i got to rank 20 and got the achievement am i gliched

what other means? so... i finished the game and now i am replaying to get 5 stars on each case and just now, at the end of homicide desk i noticed that i didn't get any XP... do i need to start a new game because i am wasting my time, or is there any other way to get XP after the game was finished?

i'll answer myself, you get XP from doing street cases and dicovering locations in free roam just fine.

GLITCHED: So I had gotten this along with all non-dlc achievements. When I next get on, no achievements for this game on profile. I loaded last game and most re-popped, including the 100% completion and most of stat related achievements However The Brass, the collectible achievements(ex. auto fanatic, hollywoodland) and single action specific achievements,(ex. the moose, puplic menace) did not. Not sure how to procede but guess I'll just have to delete/transfer save files and start from scratch

It also seems there's a limit on XP for asking the right questions. Even when there are 4 or 5 questions in one interrogation I only ever seem to get 15XP for getting them all right...
