The key is the upper left flipper and tilt... hold down the left flipper and bump the ball into play then try use tilt (left analog stick) to tilt the ball into the path of the upper left flipper. Once you have the ball under control (not moving) in that left flipper area gently flip it up to knock down the 3 switches just above it, once all 3 are down you get around 5000/6000 points and the switches reset after a second or two. After flipping the ball if it's spinning away then use the left tilt to keep it in that top left area. As long as you take your time and only tilt once/twice between flips you should be fine in avoiding the machine locking up from using too many tilts.
Keep doing this and you can grind it out, took me about 30 mins. Obviously, if you get the first ball in that top area then you have 2 extra balls in case you mess up along the way.

Edit** In addition... Tai Jason and Ben Reynolds have both suggested trying to get a multiplier first (this is done by lighting up the 3 red lights in the middle of the board) you will then score more points and earn the achievement quicker.
