Don't know if this will make a difference but I just obtained this achievement in local challenge , located in the main menu. It seemed to give me the most springs , jet packs , and twirly hats. Just keep playing your bound to get 5 in a row , had trouble with this one before I did it in local game, as soon as I switched I had seen 5 springs in a row by my 3rd time playing, and got the achievement on my 5th try in local challenge. I also used the original level you start on. Hope this helps.
