Hit & Step was giving me real problems. I got an A relatively easily, but getting an A+ was really frustrating me. This is mostly because it never read my feet on a consistent basis. So, after finally figuring out what this game wants you to do, I thought that I would share how I got this.

First, I hate to say this, but unless you have a ridiculously good memory, you will most likely have to use the guide-button trick to pause the game during the sequences (i.e., to mark down the order of the "hits" and the "steps"). This sounds bloody lame, but all I can say is that if you have tried to do this legit...you will know why I say this.

Anyway, about the feet. If you are like me, you will naturally try to make a kicking motion (with the proper foot) towards the target. This is not what the game wants you to do - which explains perhaps why "kicking at the target" doesn't work consistently. What the game actually wants you to do is to simply step (ideally lifting your leg knee-high) with the proper leg. If you are playing at the advanced difficultly, and it is a combo (e.g, Upper Right Hand + Left Foot), then you will need to time it properly (this isn't hard).

Hopefully this helps you out, because I was absolutely hating this game in large part due to this mini-game.

Note 1: I know that for this achievement, that you only need an A on each difficulty (i.e., getting 6 out of the 7 sequences right), but given how you need to get an A+ on each difficulty in Hit & Step (7 out of 7) for another achievement, I figured I'd add this solution.

Note 2: In the easy difficulty, you don't need to use your feet at all, but I'd still recommend using the guide button tactic.
