    Survive-O-Rama - Complete 500 waves in survival

If you don't want to spend your time trying to connect to a host on the multiplayer, playing Mission 5: Marooned (Maroon 5 pun?) in single player is an easy way to go through the waves.

Once the mission starts, turn around and hop in the mech. Now walk around in the mech while holding down the trigger and do the killing. Knocking out some buildings will help the bugs filter towards you faster.

Here's the thing: only complete the first 2 waves. After the 2nd wave, there are gunships and wasps which are extremely hard to kill in single player. So once the notification pops up saying you completed wave 2, just simply hit start then reset. It will count the 2 waves you completed, which should take around 2-3 minutes depending on the spawns.

But IF YOU WANT THE CREDITS, kill yourself or let the airships and wasps kill after you complete the second wave and wait for the game over screen. It'll take a few more seconds but it'll add to your total credit. I didn't do that so I missed out on quite a few credits.

If you only complete the first 2 waves it will net you 102 kills, and 2040 credits if you let yourself be killed after the second wave, working towards your 10,000 kills in survival and credits towards buying all your weapons. It also counts for other achievements, ant kills, spider kills, buildings, objects, 25,000 kills. Happy grinding.

This CAN be done in a private match too. Having 2 people seems to help with the levels.

You can also play this on multiplayer but I personally have a hard time connecting to matches. Having a full party of 5 others in the game will make waves easier, faster, and you can make it to higher levels.

Special thanks to iHeartSlampigs for helping grind out about 400 waves in a day.

This method will get you 2-3 waves per 10 minutes with you away from the controller most of the time. as scharn73 says, it is "slow" but you spend less time actually playing.

    Basically,
    1. Rubber band the right stick to point left or right
    2. Rubber band the right trigger.
    3. Start Map 1: Cornerstone in singleplayer.
    4. Jump in the turret. (Drunk walk over there, since your stick is rubberbanded.)
    5. Come back in ~10mins to restart.

    Notes:
    1. The turrent usually lasts until wave 4 for me, when it usually blows up and I eventually die.
    2. Sometimes the turret blows up in wave 3, and its helpful to have the 4 round shotgun equipped to finish off the stragglers. (But sometimes you just die.)
    3. At odd times, some spiders will get stuck behind buildings, requiring you to get out to kill them, or just restart.

Another good level for this is the first level in survival mode. You can do the first 3 waves (1st - ants, 2nd - ants and ticks, 3rd - spiders and ticks) using the base turret that is right where you start in about 5 or 6 mins. Restart after the 3rd wave because Hectors start showing up which take forever to kill.
