My idea for Modernist achievement is to keep rematching Shadow X (it is much easier and faster than final boss). He is level 9 and if you are good enough you should beat with him with almost not loosing any health (constant powers attacks) and each fight gives you 1400 exp.

After you are finished with the story mode you can choose continue and rematch. Then just select Shadow X. I played with Volt (not X) and Soothsayer X but anyone you feel comfortable with should be ok (except the ones that have shield powerups). Use your first, stunning powerup, then change, use your first stunnig powerup and then any other to have Ultra Chain. Then use powerups that are left. While your powerups regenerate just keep making close combat. Don't worry if you cannot make the last hit, you don't have to, sometimes loosing is winning ;]. Do not care about dodging any attacks, it is you that shall be in constant attack; good timing and knowing you attacks are of the essence. After a victory you can choose retry so you don't have to choose players. Each 10 000 exp shall take no more than 12 minutes. So it takes about 3-4 hours :].

MathGuy42Good solution. I really liked the Volta + Soothsayer X pair.

For me, beating Necro X over and over again felt faster than fighting Shadow X. Necro X will only give you 1100 exp, but it was a quicker and certain win in 2 rounds. Though if you're skilled enough to beat Shadow X quickly and easily, then of course that's the best way to go.

Also, once you get to Level 7, I suggest using the Faster Cooldown powerup. You'll be able to reuse your special attacks sooner, shortening the fight.

nebulousIAMhey wonderful, thanks! just hit level 8 today. once you get a strategy down you can beat shadow x in 2-3 min.

SniggleworthI’m having an easier time using Scorch X and Necro X, but this does seem to be the way to go for knocking this achievement out ASAP

At the end of the campaign mode, you should be level 3 with something like 11 000xp. The only way to gain level 10 is to fight over and over to obtain the 150 000xp needed to reach level 10 and to unlock all the available power-ups (last one is Stronger Super Attack!).

Fighting someone with a higher level than you in an online or offline match is a good way to earn fast XP and if you're playing Ranked match you'll climb the leaderboard at the same time!

You can also replay the campaign mode to earn another 7 000xp or you can choose the rematch option to fight a defeated ennemy from the campaign mode like the final boss (this is what I did)!

Choose your favorite way to earn XP and enjoy the game at the same time!

Wanderer128I'm not sure if this is true or not, but the game just recently got an update, I have no idea what the update was about (thanks people who don't post shit on the internet, you fail), but I think that I've noticed a substantial increase in experience earned rematching Shadow X. Thought it might be worth noting that the update may have been to make this achievement easier for everyone.

chaotikillathere was an update. i don't know what it was for but the experience for shadow x remains at 1400 per fight.

SouperH2OThe update was to fix an issue with the game freezing up randomly. Not sure if everyone had this issue or if it did anything else, but previously the game was hardly playable for me due to it constantly freezing up. Now it runs smooth and makes getting this achievement at least possible.

I just got this and I like Ownon's way. Facing Shadow X over and over is great. Also, I used Necro X and Scorch X and they can help with the ultimate and ultra combos quite easily. When starting with Necro X, use the first attack. Switch to Scorch X and use his first attack. Then switch back to Necro X and use his last attack. Ultimate combo, your foe is at 1/2 health AND can't use their specials. If you start with Scorch X, use his first and then switch to Necro X and use his first and then third. Now you have Ultra, probably 1/2 health enemy, and they STILL can't use their specials. Hope this helps.
