There are 160 collectibles in the game. You only need 120 of them.

EDIT: Title Update added new Blueprints to find.

You don't need to find all 120 of 160. You can actually re-obtain old collectables and still have them count.

When you make a new character all collectibles reappear and when you pick them up they count towards the total.

Facts, IDs, Recordings and Blueprints count as collectibles.

Here is some help for the first collectibles

Solario32Achievement seems easy enough. Already at 124 and still on chapter 11 in Act 3.

Saw3d 0ffThis one is pretty easy. Don't sweat it. You'll get 120 over either 1 or 2 play thrus most likely.

    *EASY GLITCH* 19/09/11

As you probably know Dead Island allows you to pick up the same ID cards in seperate playthroughs, but to save you the hassle of finding them all or completing stacked playthoughs just to find them again i will tell you my extremely easy method.

If you find a collectible next to a zombie and you have recently got a checkpoint. Grab the collectible then let the zombie kill you then load your checkpoint back.

This method only works if you die after picking up the ID card (collectible) and reload, if you pick up the ID card and reload the checkpoint without dying the collectible wont be there anymore when the game loads up again.

I found a great part to do this, i went from 60 collectibles to 120 in under 12 mins. Once you reach Chapter 5: "Mixed Blessings" keep completing the main quests until you get the mission called "DROP BY DROP" where you have to lock up the fire hydrants, dont kill the big zombie next to the 1st hydrant, just lock it and you should get a checkpoint. Now all you have to do is reload the checkpoint, pick up the ID badge on the table, get DOWNED by the big zombie and reload your checkpoint the minute you hit the floor (no health bars). YOU DO NOT LOSE MONEY DOING THIS.

*NOTE* Due to my videos being uploaded in widescreen they dont seem to fit in the small video box on trueachievements therefore i would suggest you turn pop ups off and click on the text in the video box to open up a new window where you can view the whole picture.

    Anyway good luck =]

*EDIT* if this doesnt work for you it might be because your reloading after you've aready died, you HAVE to reload the minute you get downed (before you bleed out and enter the loading screen) otherwise the collectible may not show up again, thanks for pointing this out *Agent S Booth* :)

llDurbinllI had this working a few times and then I accidentally reloaded the checkpoint when I mistakenly thought I was downed, it takes the thug 3 swings to down me unlike the one for you. I guess there is no way to fix it once you fuck up?

HARDC0REWARRI0RAs of 25-02-15 i can confirm it still works!! Awesome guide dude, tried to exploit it myself didn't thought about this way. I didn't reloaded after i closed the first hydrant and it still worked perfectly :D I used a grenade to kill myself which was even faster than waiting for the zombie to kill me (took him 3 swings)

Tested as of September 16, 2012. Played on a Game of the Year edition disk.

I beat the campaign with Xian once. After that, I chose to start a new game, and chose Xian again, and loaded up chapter 5. As soon I started she was level 14, and I had to kill the ram and the 5 zombies in front of the church. After I killed them, the church door opens and I need to talk to "Mother Helen". And she requests that I kill the demon that is inside. So you need to bust open a door. Now, run to the Toxic Mod sitting on the desk in that room, and then I let the Thug kill me. As soon as it says "Time to recover: 6s", press start and choose Load Last Checkpoint. When you do this, you will be right outside the church door, and you will need to speak to Mother Helen, break into that room, and pick up the Toxic Mod, and die by the hands of the Thug, and then Load Last Checkpoint again. Rinse and repeat.

Might want to have the volume on mute because of the church bells.

I tested this only in single player.

Maelstorm95Solution and comments got this one done for me. I went into the church with little health, grabbed the Fact and jumped off the balcony, dying. Loaded and kept doing this. This is MUCH fast than getting both, as you don't have to wait for Mother Helen to talk.

A Dreadful ShotGreat solution and great tip from Maelstorm. It’s definitely much quicker just grabbing the fact upstairs. Got my remaining collectables very quickly using this method.
