How to unlock the Nob Down achievement

    You might get this playing through the Campaign, but if you didn't, like me, follow these steps to unlock it.

    Play Campaign and select part II the Inquisitor - Chapter 6 - Lair of Giants, Checkpoint - Generator Room, Difficulty - Easy.

    Once the chapter loads, move ahead and open the first door. Walk across the frosty catwalk and open the second door. Once it opens, pick up the power axe and the vengeance launcher on the right hand side weapon/ammo crates and proceed to the chamber straight ahead.

    Once you head into the main chamber, stand and wait behind the central pillar. There will be an alert about a "xenon detected" over the com. Equip the vengeance launcher and wait for the "nobs" (the two big buggers with the helmets and clubs) to spawn. Once they do, fire a series of vengeance grenades at them and detonate them to soften them up. Next you should use the X,Y combo repeatedly to kick and stun them. Once they are stunned, hit B to begin the 'struggle' and wildly tap B to win it.

    Once you beat them both, it will save a new checkpoint, just "quit mission" from the pause menu and rinse and repeat until you have 10 and the cheivo pops.

    You can work on this achievement as well as
    Warhammer 40,000: Space MarineThe Bigger They Are...The The Bigger They Are... achievement in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine worth 26 pointsKill 25 Ork Nobs.
    at the same time.

    The first Ork Nob you come across that you can battle is in Chapter 2 (after the prologue on the Ork ship).

    After meeting up with both team members and running the trench towards the bunker, you will come across a group of marines making a stand. After a few dropship waves, an Ork Nob will be dropped into battle.

    Repeatedly stun combo him (x,y or x,x,y or x,x,x,y) until you can struggle with him in which you can repeatedly tap b.

    Reload the checkpoint until you get the achievement.

    TheIcemanComethThis is a great solution. Granted, there's only the one Nob there, but you get dozens of kills leading up to him to work towards the 2,500 and 40,000 kill achievements if you need them. Plus it's a little easier than dealing with the two in the generator room in Chapter 6 in such a confined space. Thanks!

    When you encounter a Nob (The bigger hard hitting melee Ork's) Damage him untill the B-button is showing over his head.

    When you press B when near him you get a little quick time event for which you need to spam the B-button, this is the struggle you must win for the achievement

    When you win the struggle you will perform a execute like normal.

    MethewJust a note: When using the Thunder Hammer you won't engage in a contest with the Nob and you'll just execute him. Those kills do not count. Use the Power Axe or the Chainsword.
