How to unlock the Strongest Weapon achievement

    To create a Strongest Weapon you need to begin with a standard weapon ( one that you can appply pine resin to otherwise it is unique and will not work )

    Then you will need to Locate the Very Large Ember in New Londo Ruins AFTER you lower the water in the region (See vid below for location and credit to Marce1024 for the vid) and give it to Andre of Astoria this will allow him to upgrade your weapons from +11 to +15.

    In order complete the Strongest weapon you will ultimately require 9 Titanite shards , 9 Large Titanite shards , 8 Chunks of Titanite and 1 Titanite Slab

    Titanite Chunk - 100% drop rate off the first and third Black Knight in Kiln of the First Flame. These enemies do respawn

    Titanite Slab - is a VERY rare drop off Darkwraiths in
    New Londo Ruins and also a 100% drop off of the Stray demon in the Undead Asylum (tutorial area) underneath the place you fought the Asylum Demon (first boss about 2 min into the game). The asylum can be revisited via the massive crow who you can see at Firelink Shrine who brought there in the beginning of the game.

    If you are looking to gather materials for every weapon upgrade achievement you will need a combined total of 90 Titanite Shards , 20 Large Titanite Shards , 24 Chunks of Titanite , 3 Titanite Slabs , 60 Large Green Titanite Shards , 16 Chunks of Blue Titanite , 2 Blue Titanite Slabs , 16 Chunks of Red Titanite , 2 Red Titanite Slabs , 16 Chunks of White Titanite and 2 White Titanite Slabs

    TRICK-To get the achievement without using your items simply fully upgrade the item in one shot and wait until the achievement pops WITHOUT leaving the upgrade window thus not allowing the game to save the data then simply turn off the game and turn back on.

    +1 = 1 Titanite Shard
    +2 = 1 Titanite Shard
    +3 = 2 Titanite Shards
    +4 = 2 Titanite Shards
    +5 = 3 Titanite Shards
    +6 = 1 Large Titanite Shard
    +7 = 1 Large Titanite Shard
    +8 = 2 Large Titanite Shards
    +9 = 2 Large Titanite Shards
    +10 = 3 Large Titanite Shards
    +11 = 1 Chunk of Titanite
    +12 = 2 Chunk of Titanite
    +13 = 2 Chunks of Titanite
    +14 = 3 Chunks of Titanite
    +15 = 1 Titanite Slab

    - Shard can be bought for 800 souls from Andrei.
    - Large Shard can be bought from the merchant in Sen Fortress for 4000 souls or also found in chest around Sen Fortress.
    - Chunk can be farmed once you reach the zone filled with black knight (no spoiler here) or from different monster during your playthrough.
    - Slab, the only one I found so far dropped from the Stray Demon, similar to the Asylum Demon but found on your 2nd visit of the Asylum. While I haven't found any, some people report getting Titanite Slab from Dark Hand Knight in the Lower part of New Londo.

    Making a total of 9 Shards, 9 Large Shard, 8 Chunks, 1 Slab.

    You also need 2 embers for the blacksmith to be able to do so.
    -First one is found early in the Depth. Should be in the chest in the room with the first Butcher, the kitchen. It will allow you to move on to 2nd stage of reinforcing (6-10)
    -Second found is found in New Londo. You have to go through the lower part of New Londo, but the chest containing the ember is actually in the upper part of New Londo, you most likely saw the chest on a ledge you couldn't reach when you explored the upper part. There should be a stair to your left when you get down with the elevator, go up the stairs and explore a bit, you should get to the chest and get the ember. it will allow you to move on the 3rd stage of reinforcing (11-15)

    Edit : It's also possible to use shield for this achievement, not only "weapon". Shield are considered weapon. Useless fact: you can dual wield shield, but it's pretty retarded considering you'll do close to no damage with your main hand.

    a tea treeThere's also a sneaky little trick you can use to reduce the amount of farming you'll have to do throughout the game. It's the easiest (if not the only!) way to get all the weapon enhancement achievements in a single playthrough of the game. The game WILL save any ascensions to the weapon, but not the further enhancements, so long as you quit out to the dashboard as soon as the achievement message fades. When you reload, you'll have retained any materials since the most recent time the weapon was ascended (so, for this one it'll come back as a +11 weapon, and you'll keep the extra Titanite that you'd "spent" to get it to +12->+15, so you can spend those on other weapons later!)

    Page DaemonI was recently tracking down Crystal Lizards in the Great Hollow and two of them dropped Titanite Slabs. I'm not sure if they were random drops, but if anyone's looking for more Slabs, you might find them there.

    What happens if I accidentally hit the blacksmith by the first bell and then had to kill him because he wouldn't leave me alone? Is there more than 1 blacksmith?

    If you have a Slab you can reuse this anytime for the 2 weapons required.

    On the final upgrade you will be using a Slab. Upgrade it to its final form and dont press or exit the pop-up message (+9 to +10 weapon upgraded message) and wait for the Achivement. Go to dashboard once you get it, then upgrade the other weapon that requires the Slab to get the other acheivement. You can dashboard again on the second if you want to save the slabs for a future weapon. Weapons will retain its +4/+9/+14 status if you dashboard.
