How to unlock the Tax Evasion achievement

    OK guys, I might have pinned down a location for the tax collector. I went to the same spot and same time as this dude in the video (credits goes to GameNitedotNet). I made sure to also hide so as not to scare the collector before I could see him.

    SPOT : Haggia Sophia tunnel entrance.
    TIME : Bank deposit trigger.

    First time, nothing happened. Must be because there are 3 bank deposits in an ACR day : daytime, evening, night, with 20 min between each.
    But the second time, the collector also appeared on my radar at the exact moment when the bank deposit triggered. He was coming at me from a different direction than in the video, but still, there he was.

    And yes I had completed the game and locked all my dens, and no I wasnt in full awareness. So neither one is a requirement.


    Edit : Since a very few people still seem to have a hard time, I'll list a few more tips mentionned in the comments.
    - Make sure to hide
    - To some people he appeared 2-3 mintues after the deposit, so stay sharp.
    - Pay close attention to the radar, since he comes from a random direction.
    - If you fail and he dies, exit the animus and come back in, just to make sure he doesnt keep any "dead" status.

    x Tyian xJust sit in the red area where it completely covers your mini map, go do something I went for a shower and when I came back, exit through the arch to hagia Sofia and the tax collector was there. Might be 50/50 if it’s him or stab guy but at least it’s afk method

    Mobius Evalon@Asimov -- This was my very last campaign achievement after 100%-ing everything else. I fucked around for 4-5 hours before I finally found one of these guys to get the achievement, and I never once ran into one during the playthrough beforehand.

    It isn't unobtainable, it's just a horrible achievement based on entropy.

    After trying several solutions, and after waiting far too long for the collector, I found the following solution that worked for me on the first try. This guide comes from a comment on Achievement Hunter : http://achievementhunter.com/games/comments.php?id=83308

    "1) Wait at east of arsenal where the riot started with the bank that there renovated

    2) Withdraw any money from the bank and then wait by the entrance to the arsenal

    3) When it pops up saying money has been deposited into the bank take few steps into the arsenal

    4) Boom the tax collector spawns and all you need to do is chase him down "

    mikachu93This was the one that worked for me. I was able to get the tax collector to spawn twice in a row by just standing outside the Arsenal entrance. (He fell and died the first time he spawned...)

    You will see the Templar tax collector when you are running around doing your thing. It will prompt you with what they are in the info window and on the map will appear a Red Money bag representing the tax man, you will have to chase him and sprint after him. When you get close you will need to perform a hook sweep by pressing B when sprinting near him. This will tackle him down and unlock your achievement.

    "Guys guys, he is like... the pentagon thief on five black ops zombies, he occurs when something is triggered, he unlocks at the middle of the day on the 20min bank deposit, you get 3 bank deposits in game time wise, the 2nd is midday, if your somewhat close to a bank he comes to "tax" your bank, like the thief comes to steal your stuff, unless you get it back. Hope this helps."

    MadMaxx42I had one spawn near Hagia Sofia, but nowhere near a bank deposit. Just as I caught up to him, a stupid rooftop guard threw a bomb at us and knocked him off the roof. He died. I looted, but no achievement. :(
