How to unlock the Simply the Best achievement

This one isn't too bad, but some songs will take some practice. There are 30 songs in the game. 20 of them took me only 1 - 2 tries to get 5 stars. Another 8 of them took me around 3 tries.

The two that gave me the most trouble were: Kids in America, and Bring it on. Those both took me 5 to ten tries.

The best ideas I have for those two songs is to just keep practicing each move. If you have any other problems, just try adjusting your kinect and the lighting.

One song that people had a lot of trouble with was Surfin' Safari. Personally, I did that one in one try. Just like the above two, keep practicing until you can get it right!

    Good luck!

Saft Und Kraftgot it after 4 hours....last movement. if the result had been green instead of blue i would have missed it again. on LaBamba aim for 5 perfects, and 2 or 3 more before the freestyle. you must get at least 13 perfectsby the 6th to last movement.

CRAZE KILERKids in america is killing me, for some reason I cannot get any perfects. I havent even been able to get four stars.

planting42I did my first song in Free Play and then went to Story - is it me or is story mode scored more harshly? I got 5* in Karma Kameleon in Free Play but only 2.5* in Story mode. Also I noticed that running the Kinect Tuner seems to improve things as well as not crowding the sensor. It seems it wants me to stand a good 15 feet back from it to be seen well.

MathGuy42It seems that playing with the Synchronization (under Options) sometimes helps. I've had some songs I've struggled with at 0 ms and have no trouble at 350 ms, and vice versa. I'm at 20/30 now and hopefully can get through the rest. Definitely harder than I expected for a 2.0 ratio achievement.

MathGuy42Anyone have suggestions for La Bamba? It's my last song. I rarely get 4 stars. I just can't seem to figure out what the Kinect wants for most of the moves, but especially the choppy hands at the beginning. I can only get one Munkpower and I'm thinking at least two would be necessary to 5 star this.

MathGuy42Finally got La Bamba. I played at 350 ms sync. Like most songs, you have to experiment to find what the sensor wants. These adjustments helped me, but your mileage may vary:
Swinging arms up: swaying side to side at the same time
Swinging arms across body: I swung my arms lower than on most songs, more like chest height instead of shoulder height
Swinging arms and twisting foot: I moved my whole body side to side
I never could get the hand chopping consistently right. And even the moves above only sometimes gave me blue checkmarks. On my successful run, I got 2 Munkpowers. I reached 5 stars with only one cue card to spare.

XtowersI've been doing pretty good so far. I haven't had any trouble up until about song 19. I skipped it and only have about 7 songs left, albeit the harder ones people have mentioned. I think I 5-starred Bring it On my first try.

One thing I did was switch to female characters. They seem generally more slender with less clothing on, so I was able to follow their movements a bit better.

XtowersJust nailed Surfin' Safari after about 5 tries. If anyone is having troubles, try to at least get green scores, but as many blues as possible (obviously, right?). This helps because you get Munk Powers which may fall on a move you have problems with. Also, keep moving during Munk Powers, because you'll automatically get a blue on those moves. I got 5 stars with only 2 moves left, so it is tricky, but not too bad.
