There are 6 weapon types/clases:

Submachine Gun
Assualt Rifle
Sniper Rifle
Shotgun
Pistol
Light Machine Gun - This is the only weapon that you wont start out with but dont worry about buying one theirs plenty in the campign.

You have atleast 1 gun in these weapon types availible to you straight away so just get a kill with one them. There is no need to buy any weapons.

The 2 special weapons are:

Flame Thrower
Grenade Launcher

These are obtained from the Weapon Cases that you have to shoot the locks to open them. You can find all of the special weapons before the end of the 3rd campaign mission (Probally sooner)

Any kills you get the in Multiplayer with the weapon types or special weapons count towards the achievement.

Im unsure if the Frag & Incendiary grenades are needed for this achievement (Pretty sure their not) but again it wouldn't hurt to get a kill with both.
