Simply play through the "Born from a Wish" sub-scenario attached to Silent Hill 2, which can be chosen from the menu after you pick Silent Hill 2 when starting your disc.

The scenario itself isn't that hard (I played it on Normal having not played a Silent Hill game in YEARS and more or less picked it up easily) and there's no boss fights in it. You're able to find plenty of healing items to get you through and, If you look in all the nooks and crannies of the areas given, you'll have more then enough ammo (on normal difficulty at least) to shoot all of the monsters should you need to fight at all, most go down in around 8 shots I found, on normal -the cleaver you find at the beginning is horribly slow and weak, and will probably lead to more injury to you then to them.

"Born from a Wish" has one puzzle involved where you have to put 3 panels (2 you find where you do the puzzle, one you find on a balcony overlooking the foyer of the mansion you end up in, simply search everywhere you can when you get to the mansion and you should come across it easy) into a grave stone without the holes of the panels matching up so you can see through. If done wrong you'll get a message that you can see through the holes of the panels, or something similar, and will be asked if you'd like to remove the last panel you places, going all the way back (if you like) to the first panel.

For those looking for a solution to this puzzle, What I did for it is I put the white panel in, put the black panel in after without turning it, and then put the red panel 90 degrees to the left. This should give you the message that you've received the Acacia Key.

From there the only real thing I had an issue with the rest of this scenario was finding the item that the other character in the scenario wants you to find for them.

Be it because I'm dense or that my brightness was too low, I passed by the item 3 times while looking for it simply because its on a desk that gives you a message that its too dark in the room to see whats on it, without being at the proper part of the desk to have the game think to pick up the item. So I kept passing it by without realizing it because I thought the character I was, was looking at the desk itself and not the item. When you find the room I'm talking about in the apartment building your sent to (the only room with a desk that would say its too dark to read it) you'll know your in the exact place to find the item and should keep pressing A while towards the part of the desk furthest from the door you came in, to find the item you need.

Like I said, overall the scenario is easy and its mostly clear sailing, specially if you happen to like to kill everything in your path and have the ammo to do so. These were really the only two things that really halted me from finishing it quicker.
