How to unlock the Creating History Together achievement
This achievement can be accomplished solo via the following method:
Enter UEFA Euro 2012 game mode. Select a team that is five-stars and set the difficulty to amateur under the game settings. Set your 2nd controller to your team. Now you will not be able to pass, because the 2nd controller will be the one to receive the ball (I don't find a way to lock the 2nd controller to one individual on-field player, which would make this much easier). Score one goal by sprinting through the opposition and then proceed to just hold the ball in the back third of the field (on amateur the CPU will not bother coming to get you very aggressively and when they do will be easy to dribble around). Do this for all six games and you should unlock the achievement.
A few notes:
If you have difficulty scoring with this method you can adjust the CPU and player sliders in the game settings.
It may also make things easier on you if you lower/turn off the auto-switching for the 2nd controller.
It may not be necessary to win every game, just win your group; But you're there anyway so you may as well.
I know of no way to complete this over Xbox Live with a friend.
Obviously this will be easier and more enjoyable with an actual second person.
Scoring two goals will allow you to go AFK and just come back if you hear that the opposition has scored.
You could change out all the teams in the tournament to "minnows" but that seems like more work than necessary.
If you are losing the game and time is almost up you should quit to the dashboard, unless you have autosave turned off.
Edit: It may be necessary at this time to complete the whole run in a single sitting. I originally played the first game then quit out after and came back later. The second game would finish but would not present the end of game screen (this happened three times). Starting a new tournament seems to have fixed this glitch.
Edit2: This achievement is glitched - it unlocked for me after winning the semi-final.
Solution for when the achievement doesn't unlock:
Okay for some people (like me) this achievement has been glitched and would not unlock.
So I finally was able to get the achievement to unlock, but I tried many methods.
First I tried to just delete and redownload the DLC, which I can confirm does not work. If this achievement is glitched for you, simply redownloading the DLC will not "unglitch" it (I'm not sure if unglitch has ever been used before, but add it to the dictionary lol)
The only thing I was able to do to actually get the achievement to unlock was to delete all files associated with FIFA 12 (or move them to another save device if you want to keep them) and then clear my system cache. After that I redownloaded the DLC and went straight into doing this achievement. I played all 6 games back to back and the achievement unlocked immediately after winning the championship.
So it seems deleting all files and your cache should get you this achievement. Hope this helps anyone who has had it glitched.
