This championship is only accessible at SemiPro or Pro difficulty level.
If you are on Amateur difficulty then this event will not show and it will have an open day in it's place.

Due to a Calendar clash, it is not possible to play this event and the Seven Card Stud Hi-Low WC in the same Career year. So make sure you play this event in either your SemiPro or Pro playthrough for POTY and play the Seven Card Stud Hi-Low event in the other difficulty.

This event mixes No Limit hold em and Limit Hold em into one.
It will be 5 hands of No Limit Hold em then 5 hands of Limit Hold em then back to No Limit for 5 hands and so on.

Now when it comes to playing the event, make sure you pause on the first hand so that the game autosaves.
Now just play as normal, making sure to pause and activate the autosave whenever you win a hand and gain chips so that if you ever need to return to that exact stage in the tournament, you can.

If you lose a lot of chips or worse bust out then simply don't press anything in game and hit the guide button.
Sign out of your profile with the X button.
The game will now return to the main menu.
Sign back into your profile.
Now you can exit the xbox guide and return to the game.
Load your data and career again.
Find the event again on the calendar (it will say "in progress")
You will be back to where your last autosave was and can play again.

I personally folded a lot of the Limit Hold em hands as it is hard to win a lot of chips in those hands. If I get a premium hand in the Limit hands then I just raised the max amount and hoped everyone folds.
If you prefer Limit hold em then don't let me stop you from playing those hands, I'm more of a No Limit player personally so don't let me bias you.

Premiums hands (No Limit): AA KK QQ JJ TT AK AQ AJ AT A9 KQ KJ 99...I tried to stick to these hands as these are the strongest ones. If these hands are suited then they are even better.
Try to avoid playing A2 A3 A4 A5 A6 A7 A8 K9 KT as those hands were more trouble than they were worth. I lost all my chips on these hands much more than I ever won.

Now with it being no limit, I just tended to go All in whenever a premium hand came up. Most of the time I would have had at least one caller and hopefully your hand is best. If not then just reload your save as described above.
But if you win then you can pause and autosave.

Another thing I used the autosave for was whenever a player got knocked out (even if I wasn't the one who busted them) or I go to a new table because knocked out players means you're one step closer to winning.
I did this regardless of how my chip stack was, unless I lost a lot of chips since my last save.

Another thing to consider is get to know the CPU players, sometimes they will stick huge raises in preflop and will cower and fold if you go all in. This is particularly true if you have a huge stack compared to them however if they have a very small stack then they may call your all in but that isn't a bad thing.
If they fold then you pick up what they raised the pot and that could be a lot of chips.
The only exception to this is if the CPU player goes all in, in which case only call if you have decent cards.

If you get a very big stack then you could fold a lot later in the tournament and let the CPU players knock each other out but that creates other big stacks also and that makes it harder when you get to the end.

Bottom line is the advantage of this Game's autosave allows you to take massive risks in the tournaments that you wouldn't normally do otherwise.

If you bust out in the money then this achievement will pop

World Series of Poker 2008Texas Hold'em ML WC ITMThe Texas Hold'em ML WC ITM achievement in World Series of Poker 2008 worth 19 pointsPlace in the money Texas Hold'em Mixed Limit World Championship

You can still reload your save using the method detailed above despite this achievement popping, don't let this stop you.
