After defeating the seneschal he asks that you put him out of his misery, once he is killed there is a short scene and and the achiev will pop. by the time you get to this point it can't really be missed unless you take one of the bad ending alternatives.

Additions to what has previously been stated giving a little more advice...

It's probably a little late to mention by this point, but it GREATLY helps if your main pawn is a Fighter or Warrior for the prior battle. Mages and Sorcerors don't want to get involved at all while Striders and Rangers tend to die too fast.

And SPOILERS to explain why...

You need to fight the guy from the prologue and his pawn. They are both fighters and will chase you and your main pawn down. A magic user will therefore not get a chance to finish casting and will tend to run away. A bow user is just too fragile as their melee attacks are too easily blocked.

Furthermore you need a class that likes to get up close and personal in order to strike the killing blow. Your pawn must grapple the seneschal for you to finish him. Trust me... It's super annoying to have a Medicant Mage at this point...
