For this achievement you need to beat all ten encounters on the standard campain. You can do it in the lower difficulty setting but it won't make any difference as the encounters generally follow the same path every time.

Note: You do not need to play the encounters to progress on the campain, so if you want you can beat a planeswalker to unlock a deck and later come back to the encounter.

1st Encounter: Disturbing the Nest
This one is pretty easy. The AI has only one creature: Suntail Hawk (1/1 with Flying). If you have any problem beating this one you should probably replay the tutorial :-)

2nd Encounter: Cult of Flame
Another easy one, maybe easier than the first one. The AI will keep summoning Pyromancers this time. Just keep attacking with all your creatures and you should be fine.

3rd Encounter: Face of the Ghoulcaller
This time the AI will be casting a Sorcery called Horrifying Revelation that will have you discard a card and put the top card from your library into your graveyard. If you can play a land, summon a creature or cast a spell, do so or you will probably be forced to discard it. Try not to discard your biggest creatures because the AI will cast Rise from the Grave and put a creature from your graveyard under its control.

For this encounter I suggest you do not use decks with big creatures such as Garruk's green deck. Several decks work fine here, examples are Chandra's Born of Flame (use the direct damage spells to damage the AI) and the Goblin deck.

4th Encounter: Stampede
The AI will cast, in this order: a 1/1 creature, a 2/2 creature, a 3/3 creature, a 4/3 creature, and on the 4th turn it will cast Overrun and attack. This will add +3/+3 and Trample to all its creatures.

What you need to do is kill at least some of its creatures before the 4th round, otherwise you will take a lot of damage. Any deck that can kill creatures such as Chandra's Born of Flame or the black Obedient Dead will do fine.

5th Encounter: Spiraling Mana
This one is interesting. The AI will cast Helix Pinnacle on its first turn. This is a enchantment that you can pay X mana and add X counters to it. If it reaches 100 counters, GAME OVER. This would take a lot of time under normal circumstantes, but this encounter also has Cloudpost which is a non-basic land that adds X mana to the pool where X is the number of other similar cards on the battlefield. The AI has at least 6 of these, and once all of them are on the battlefield, it can tap them for a whooping 36 mana. In addition it will summon a 0/3 defender to block your attacks.

Bottom line is: the AI will win by the start of its 8th turn.

You'll need a fast deck for this one. Garruk's Pack Instinct or Goblin Gangland are recommended.

6th Encounter: Into the Mine
This time the AI has a deck with an absurd number of cards, 120 to be exact, and will summon Fog Bank, a 0/2 defender that can't be killed by normal combat damage. Plus it will cast one Howling Mine per turn, causing you to draw several cards every turn. If you do not beat the encounter in time, you will run out of cards on your library and loose by starvation.

It also has a counter spell called Mana Leak that can be negated if you pay 3 mana, so always keep 3 mana in reserve when you summon your more important creatures.

In any case this is an easy encounter. Just avoid Jace's Dream Puppets deck because it will not work here.

7th Encounter: Righteous Anger
This time you'll be facing a red/white that will try to defeat you by casting Lightning Helix, a spell that does 3 damage to you while giving 3 life to the AI.

By the 5th turn, it will summon Fire Servant and now you should be extra carefull as it will double the damage that Lightning Helix does to you.

I recommend using the blue deck Dream Puppets and win by making the AI run out of cards on the library (starvation). It has only 30 cards on its deck so you should be able to do that with ease before the direct damage spell finally kill you.

8th Encounter: Dragons' Aerie
As the name implies, you will be playing against a dragon deck on this encounter. It will start with Dragon Hachling, then Furnace Whelp, and finally Shivan Dragon and then repeat. All his dragons have the classic 1 red mana for 1 damage ability, so be carefull.

Recommended strategies are: use Dream Puppets and make it run out of cards or use a deck that can easily kill or exile his dragons such as Liliana's black deck.

9th Encounter: Double Trouble
This one is pretty fun. The AI only has one creture: Primordial Hydra. This creature enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters, and the number of counters doubles at each turn's upkeep. In addition, once it reaches 10 counters, it will get Trample.

As long as you can kill or exile the creatures before they get too big you should be fine, so the black or black/white decks are recommended. Using Jace's Dream Puppets I was able to Mind Control one of the Hydras and Repulse the others, and it was pretty fun to watch it grow to gigantic (+32/+32) sizes. By the way, that was where I got the Beast Within achievement.

10th Encounter: Snap Judgments
This encounter plays around the Bloodghast black creature. Everytime the AI plays a land, all Bloodghasts on the graveyard will come back to the battlefield. Plus, if you have 10 or less life, they will have Hast and attack right away. Every now and then it will cast Day of Judgment and kill all creatures, but this is not a big deal for him as the Bloodghasts will return when it plays the next land

Do not use Jace's Dream Puppets here, or very soon you will be facing LOTS of Bloodghasts. I beat this one with the green Pack Instinct deck by generally ignoring the Bloodghasts and attacking with all my creatures every turn. Chandra's Born of Flame deck was also effective as I was able to return my Phoenixes from the dead often while dealing direct damage spells to the AI.

After you beat the last encounter the achievement should pop.
