The description of this achievement can be a bit misleading - or at least misunderstood. Not only do you have to wear the yellow jersey during stage 7, but you must actually still be the leader at the end of this seventh stage (which means you wear it the eighth day, so seven stages indeed). As you will see by yourself, this detail makes things much harder.

The key here is to get the yellow jersey as soon as possible, that is the prologue, and keep it for seven consecutive days before you reach the first time trial (Stage 10); let's face it, you would not stand a single chance here with your expert level rider.

As to the rider himself, I played Jerome Coppel from the Saur-Sojasun team. He has high stats (75) in mountains, hills and prologues, which makes him the best choice for me. Maybe the only relevant choice actually, since I cannot see another expert rider that is good enough to win the prologue.

Stage 1 (prologue): You should be able to make a 6'55"-7'00" time if you are familiar with this very short stage, which will net you the yellow jersey and a 5 to 10 seconds lead on both Evans and Wiggins.

Stages 2 to 7: It will be tricky to make significant gaps in these mostly flat stages, especially now that you wear the yellow jersey. It can be helpful to attack at the end of the stages 2 and 4, though; the finish line is on an uphill slope, and even if you will very likely not win, Valverde and Wiggins are often dropped out and might lose a few valuable seconds. The good point is that you won't have to struggle to keep your first place during these six days.

Since you must play the last section of each stage anyway, always take one or two bananas with you to resplenish your green bar; an exhausted rider is the last thing you want for the eighth stage.

Stage 8 (final stage): Now things get serious with this high mountain stage. At this point I had a 8 seconds lead on Evans, 22 seconds on Wiggins, and 50 seconds on Andy Schleck (he and Valverde lose a lot of time during the prologue, fortunately). As to the choice of food, take two apricots and one energy gel.

Skip the race until you reach the last section. Don't forget to make a manual save here, in case you're not successful the first time.

Some riders (very likely Valverde, Voeckler and Gesink) will attack very early and repeatedly. Don't panic! The worst thing to do is to try and follow them, which would cost you a lot of stamina needlessly. Let them go, you will catch up with them sooner or later. Just stay in the peloton, and use your first apricot when there is only 10 km left.

Everything depends upon the last 5 kilometers, where you will be attacked from all sides. This time again, don't try to follow everyone, and especially not Andy Schleck; your main threats are Evans and Wiggins, focus on them. Climb at a good pace (three empty bars on your speed gauge), eat your second apricot, and control the main group of climbers as long as you can. When there is only 2 kilometers left, watch out for Evans, he should start to attack. Use the triggers to look at his behaviour, place yourself right in front of him, and block him! This cheap method is your best chance; he is just too fast otherwise, and you cannot afford to let him go this early. He will try and shift to get past you, move accordingly. In the last kilometer, eat your energy gel and go as fast as you can (without sprinting). It will be a close one, but you should still be the leader for a few seconds!

If you made it, the achievement will pop as soon as you see the results screen. Congratulations!
