    In total there are 6 challenge areas which vary in difficulty. Some are easier than others, but they require some patience and practice. I recommend that you do one or two runs through the arenas to learn where everything is, and how to navigate the areas. Once you're ready, you will need to make your way through the arena of choice as quickly as possible. To earn the high scores you will need to make sure you take no damage, hit as many point orbs as possible and finish with a time. If you collect all the orbs but cross the finish line without a time, you won't hit the four star rating.

    It's possible to take some damage is illustrated in the video, but as long as you don't keep repeating the same mistake and lose multiple groups of 100 points, you get get away with taking one or two hits. If you do happen to hit a section with fire and end up catching on fire yourself. Use it to your advantage and speed through the rest of the fire traps. You won't take extra damage or lose more point unless you stand around for long periods of time.

    I highly recommend that you obtain all the ability upgrades before you attempt these as some of the extra abilities improve your chances of completing with ease.

    You can find the areas in the following areas:

    Abadis Forest
    Archer's Pass
    Aurora Village
    Cirromon Caverns
    The Sorrowing Meadow
    The Glade

    Challenge arenas are hidden around the worlds map. There will be a small tutorial with information about them the first time you find one. I suggest you wait until later in the game to make these easier. I found the double jump ability very helpful. The vine climb ability is also required for some of them. Any arenas you've previously found will be marked on your map by a red area.

    There are 6 arenas of increasing difficulties. The first couple are very easy. The time limit on the last few are very strict. You'll most likely have to play through the courses a few times and memorize the path to score 4 stars.

    Scoring works on a points system. At the end of the arena, your score is tallied. Each arena has a required score for four stars. Killing an enemy scores 100 points, smashing orbs scores 500 points, and your time left adds to your score at the end. Taking damage causes you to lose 100 points.

    Abadis Forest Trial #1 - 9000 Points
    Aurora Village Trial #2 - 10500 Points
    The Glade Trial #3 - 6000 Points
    Cirromon Caverns Trial #4 - 8400 Points
    The Sorrowing Meadow Trial #5 - 9000 Points
    Archers' Pass Trial #6 - 4800 Points

    They're easy enough to find, provided with the locations on a map. If you're still having trouble, this locations guide will show you how to get to each arena starting from the world map.

    If you're having trouble completing an arena, use this walkthrough.

    If you are struggling a little bit with the Cirelian Trial #6 located in Archer's Pass, I have found the best path to follow:

    -> Red
    -> Green (2 lamps to destroy)
    -> Cyan
    -> Red
    -> Orange
    -> Blue (3 lamps to destroy)
    -> Magenta (2 lamps to destroy)
    -> Yellow (2 lamps to destroy)
    -> Cyan
    -> Exit

    Of course, you'll have to be the quickest possible if you want to get the 4 stars but it shouldn't take you more than 8/10 tries.

    Here a video if you need some help (video is not mine):
